I hid behind a tree and carefully looked at the place of the noise. So my doubt became certainty: it was a monster. He was some kind of giant praying mantis. His claws were huge and he didn't look friendly at all.

He was very close to the clearing where I was and there I had put all my groceries (in this case the food, the water was with me). I knew I would have to lure him away, because I couldn't do without my groceries, and I couldn't sleep in the woods, that was too risky. But how am I going to get him out of there? If he sees me, I'll be a dead man.

There was a rock next to me, so my experience in action movies warned me what I should do. I picked up the stone very carefully and threw it as far away from me as possible. Because of the weeds and bushes, the stone made a noise and the monster noticed it.

As he walked towards the noise, I slowly moved towards the clearing. But as I moved, I accidentally stepped on a stick that was next to me, and as soon as the monster noticed the sound, it stopped short.

At that moment I stopped breathing... I knew I was going to die. But luckily, the monster ignored him and went on its way.

Still patiently, I made my way to my clearing. When I got there, I was totally exhausted. I ate some and drank some water. But I couldn't sleep for two reasons: because of the monsters and because of the pain of my injuries. Every hour that passed I felt weaker, and my life was in serious danger.

That's when I heard a noise in the bushes, it was totally unarmed, so I picked up a rock from the ground and tried to prepare myself for what was coming. But, it wasn't a monster like I thought. It was actually a human... I think.

A girl who looked about my age appeared out of the bushes. Her hair is burgundy, she is tanned and her ears are pointy unlike a human. His hair is short and his eyes are green.

When she saw me, the first impression I got was that she was a little surprised. But as soon as she saw my injuries, she looked very worried.

-"Hey you, who are you and how did you get hurt like that?"

The pain was very great, so great that I dropped the stone that was in my hand in so much pain. As soon as she realized that, she just seemed to worry even more.

-"Oh, you know what... you explain to me later".

She came close to me and said she was going to heal me. But she had nothing in her hands other than a strange large staff, so I wondered how she would do it. Then she walked away, took up her staff, and said in a loud voice:

-"Medium cure"

When she said, I felt a great energy and as a kind of circle appeared below me, I felt all my wounds healed. This is power... I felt like new, in fact, even the tiredness I had had completely disappeared.

I was quite surprised, but she didn't seem to mind that much.

-"Well... and then? could you explain to me what's going on?!
