Chapter 16:

The Adventure Begins

The Worst Hero

The warm sun beating down on my head and the strong wind cooling my face give me a wonderful feeling. The longing to find out more about this world only increases.

The feeling of freedom that this world brings is wonderful. To my left I see a big long blue river and to my right animals grazing on this beautiful green field.

If I look a little further ahead, I can see some groups of people, but I prefer not to get involved with any of them for the time being. I notice on my map some places marked with an "x" that was marked by Sheele. I remember that the nearest "x" is the place where she said it would be good for beginners to train, so I'm going straight there.

But before I do, I feel a little hungry and thirsty. So I drink some water from the river and eat an apple under its tree. How wonderful... lying in the shade of a tree, eating a fruit and drinking fresh water. Sleepiness begins to set in and what would be the problem to take a nap? So I take a nice nap while I relax...

When I wake up, although I don't know the time, I think I slept too long... so I start to hurry to the nearest "x".

A group of heroes were also spending their time having fun with the animals of that place and I will not lie... it made me want to see the animals too... but I did not have time nor did I want to relate to those strangers.

On that map, I could see some other towns and villages besides Ur, but they were much further away. The map was torn, so there wasn't that much on it, but what I could see was that there was a very small part of the map, between the city of Ur and the village of Sannajer, that was crossed out, but not crossed out with an "x" or for me not to go. It was simply crossed out, as if I was supposed to ignore it.

Unfortunately Sheele, I am a bit of a "curious" person so maybe later I will take a little look...

I had no idea what time it was, but I was sure I had been walking for 2 or 3 hours without stopping, so I knew I was getting close to my destination.

And well I did...
