Valentine's Day

It's February 14th. Saturday. Today is Valentine's Day and Yuuki asked me to go on a date with her today. She told me to meet her at the station.

I'm already at the station waiting for her and it looks like I got here earlier than her.

"It's cold out here."

I know winter is about to end but it's still cold. I looked around and I see people already wearing non-winter clothes.

"Oh, you're here already, Shin."

I turned around and it was Yuuki, "I just got here, Yuuki."

I looked at her and she was just pretty as ever. Wearing an oversized jacket, tucked shirt, and skinny jeans. She caught me staring, "Don't tell me you have fallen for me, Shin?"

I gulped, "Who knows?" as she suspiciously looks at me as I didn't look her in the eye.

"By the way, where are we going, Yuuki?"

"It's a surprise. Just follow me."

It looks like she has planned this date a while ago. I just went along with her and followed her. We entered a bus and shortly after, exited it as well.

"We're here, Shin."

I looked at it and it was the amusement park that we had visited during the summer vacation when we were second-year. Unlike before, there are more visitors to the park.

We entered the park and I asked, "Where should we go first, Yuuki?"

She replied, "I want to run it all back from the last time we were here. The rollercoaster first!"

We went on the rollercoaster, just like back then.

We enter the ride and I held my hand out. She smiled and holds it, "Thanks, Shin."

I smiled at her, "It's nothing."

The ride started and like last, it goes down hard when it's on the top of the hill. But the feeling was different from last time. I felt like I'm gonna passed out for a second but I manage to survive. 

Meanwhile, Yuuki is just closing her eyes while holding my hand. It must've taken a lot of courage for her to ride this rollercoaster again.

We got out of the ride. She looks tired after that ride, "I'm not riding that again."

I smiled at her and pat her on the head, "You did well, you know."

She blushed and turned around to hide her face and quietly said, "Thanks."

After the rollercoaster, next is the haunted house.

We arrived at the haunted house and the line was long. Looking at it, they made a makeover at the haunted house. It looks different than the last time that we were here.

 After thirty minutes, it's finally our turn. The person who's in charge of the haunted house gave us a flashlight.

That seems different than before.

I looked at Yuuki and gave her my hand so she can hold it when she was scared but instead of grabbing my hand, she grabbed my whole arm, "Let's go, Shin."

I just smiled at her. I wonder what she would have done if I weren't by her side.

We entered the haunted house. It's so dark, you can't see a single thing. I turned on the flashlight and guide us throughout the whole experience.

Suddenly, someone scared right beside us, and Yuuki closed her eyes and tightly held my whole arm, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

Then, voices started echoing throughout, "You're not leaving us." Yuuki begged for mercy, "Let us leave, let us leave."

A mile away, I could see the exit, then, someone grabbed us by the foot and Yuuki just screamed out of fear. After that, we finally escaped the haunted house.

It wasn't fun but rather, a bit extreme. I looked at Yuuki, "Are you alright, Yuuki?" She looked at me, "That was scary!"

I just laughed at her and she was annoyed by it, "It wasn't funny, Shin." I replied, "I know, I'm sorry."

Yuuki pointed at one of the attractions, "Let's go there."

I looked at it and it looks like a theatre, "I'm in."

We went to the theatre and there was a queue waiting for the next show. I looked at the poster and it looks like a magic show. We waited for the next show, but all of a sudden, my head started to hurt.

I grabbed my head and Yuuki seemed to notice it, "Are you alright, Shin?"

I replied, "I'm fine. I'll go to the restroom for a bit."

I left Yuuki in the line and went to a nearby restroom.

I started vomiting on the toilet, "Why does it have to be today?"

I looked into my bag and checked for medicines but it looks like I don't have anything left.

Calm down, I can survive throughout the whole day.

I returned to Yuuki and went inside the theatre to watch the show. While watching the show, I wasn't feeling myself. After an hour, the show was done.

Yuuki asked, "How about we eat something, Shin? It's already afternoon"

I looked at the time, "Yeah. Let's get something to eat."

We went to a nearby table and order some food but I wasn't feeling well. I only ate a light lunch and I don't want to force myself to get more sick than this.

Yuuki looked at my food, "Is that all you're going to eat, Shin?"

I replied, "Yeah. I'm not that hungry at all."

She just smiled, "I see. Let's eat."

We started eating our lunch. After that, Yuuki suggested, "How about we go to an arcade?"

I replied, "We can go there."

We went to the arcade and play. There are a lot of selections, from crane games to fighting games. Yuuki asked, "What should we do first, Shin?"

I pointed at the shooter game, "How about that?"

We started playing the shooter game and she absolutely destroyed me at that game.

She pointed, "How about that crane game, Shin?"

I looked at it and it was a crane game with a big plushy as a prize.

Yuuki inserted the coin and started playing. She tries to grab the big plushy but the hook was too weak to grab it, "This is going to be tough."

She tried and tried but wasn't able to do so, "Shin, why don't you try it?"

"Sure," as I insert the coin into the machine and started playing but my vision is a bit blurry. I'm seeing two big plushies, instead of one. I aim for it and somehow managed to get it.

"Shin, you did it!"

I looked at it and gave the big plushy to Yuuki, "There, Yuuki."

Yuuki accepted it, "Thanks, Shin."

I just smiled at her. She pointed at another machine, "Shin, let's go to the photo booth."

We went to the photo booth and inserted some coins.

The machine suddenly talked, "Please do this pose."

The screen showed a pose where one person cuddles the other one from behind.

We did the pose as I hug Yuuki from behind. The machine snap a picture of it and asked us to do another pose but this time doing a heart. We did the pose and the machine take a picture of it. The machine asked us to do a freestyle for the rest of the pictures.

The machine talked again, "Thank you for using this photo booth. Keep smiling," as we leave the machine and I took the pictures from it.

I asked, "Who should keep the pictures?"

Yuuki smiled at me, "You should keep it but I want to take a look at it first."

Yuuki looked at the pictures, "You look quite funny here, Shin."

I looked at the pictures as well, "Your blushing here, Yuuki."

Yuuki tried to make an excuse out of it, "It was hot there, Shin. That's all to it."

I giggled at her and Yuuki looked at me, "Stop laughing already, Shin."

I stopped laughing but she still looked at me, but a bit different from before, "What's wrong, Yuuki?"

Yuuki replied, "Shin, are you alright? You're a bit pale all of a sudden."

I replied, "I'm fine, don't worry about me."

Crap. She must've noticed it.

I asked Yuuki, "Where are we going to go next?"

Yuuki replied, "How about we go on our final ride?"

"The final ride?"

"What else could've been? I'm talking about the Ferris wheel, Shin."

We went to the Ferris wheel and queued up at the line. After a while, we managed to get on the ride. We sat there and it was just quiet.

...

"Shin!"

"What's the matter, Yuuki?"

She grabs a gift out of her bag and hands it to me, "Happy Valentine's Day, Shin."

I'm flustered. I wasn't expecting this at all. I kindly accepted the gift and opened it and it was chocolates, "Thank you, Yuuki."

Before we notice it, the ride was already done, as the operator of the ride opened the door for us and we left the Ferris wheel. After that, Yuuki said, "It's time for us to go, Shin."

We went to the exit of the amusement park but Yuuki suddenly pulled my shirt, "Wait, Shin."

I asked, "What is it, Yuuki?"

"There's somewhere I still want to go. Would you accompany me for a bit?"

"Of course."

I followed her. We went to the train station and ride the train. 

My headache starts to get worsen.

We stopped at Yoyogi-Uehara station.

This is Yuuki's stop. Where are we going to go?

I just followed her as we were about to cross the bridge. Halfway through the bridge, she stopped.

"Shin, there's something I need to tell you."

I listened carefully to her but my headache makes it more difficult. I can feel chills in my body as well.

"This bridge, Shin is the bridge where I was saved by the person who's in front of me."

God, my head. I need to be strong.

"And that person has been the one in my mind for the past year."

It hurts! I'm feeling dizzy.

"It's been a year already since you saved me and I'll be forever grateful for that."

My vision...it's getting blurry.

"Shin, I want to let you know about my true feelings."

Crap...I feel very weak.

"I want you to know what my heart wants."

This is bad.

"Shin, I want you by my side. I want your warmth."

I feel I would collapse at any time.

"Shin, I want you. I love you, Shin!"

My vision...it's fading to darkness.

"Please go out with me, Shin!"

Sorry...Yuuki.

Shin suddenly collapsed. Head first in concrete.

"Shin?"

Blood started to flow under his head.

"Shin!"
