Nightmare…

 It was a rainy night on my 16th birthday, so I went to bed early that night. I forget how long I slept, but I was awakened by a roar at midnight. I was startled, shocked at what had just happened. Slowly, I picked up the katana my father had given me and headed for the front door. I sneak out of the house and there he is, a huge dragon in front of my eyes. He looked at me with burning anger in his eyes. I quickly ran into my dad's room, the window of his room was broken and my dad and mom were on the floor covered in blood. I freaked out and quickly ran to the house of my neighbor Sai, a middle age doctor and experienced kendo fighter. I was scared and panicked as I ran.

When I arrived at his house I was still horrified by what had just happened, I rang his doorbell several times and finally, after 20 minutes, he came. When he opened the door he still looked sleepy.

"Why are you looking for me? What's wrong?"

"Quick Sai please save my father we were attacked by a dragon-like demon and ..."

My words were interrupted by Sai's sister Hanabi.

"What's wrong brother I am still asleep and who's at the door?"

Hanabi suddenly blushed upon seeing me. (I do not think that is strange at that time) Her facial expression suddenly changed and she said.

"Oh it's-it’s you, what's wrong?"

"When I went into my father's room, I saw both my parents lying on the floor covered in blood. There may still be time," I said in a terrible voice.

"Where are they right now? Hanabi, warm up the horse, let us go quickly, life is at stake," as Sai always says.

So they all went to my house but tragedy struck when they reach Yudai's Dad dojo. It was full of corpses covered in blood and they saw a minor dragon-like demon in there munching down all the Kendo trainers, it was horrific. When we were still riding that horse the demon suddenly attacked us. It did a quick slash at us luckily me and Sai pulled out both our katanas and counter-slashed it. After that, I heard a soft and weak voice shouting for help.

" Sai, you keep fighting this demon. Ima go save that kid that was shouting with Hanabi!."

So Hanabi and I ran as fast as we could to the person who was screaming. But in the meantime, Sai was still fighting with the demon. The demon kept hitting him with its sharp claws and he kept dodging the demon with his katana, but suddenly the demon cloned itself and one of them started fighting Takki, Sai's horse. Takki was suffering, he felt like he was in fiery pain in his body. Suddenly, a glowing aura appeared around Takki. Takki suddenly kicked at the demon. The demon instantly flew and hit the wall of the dojo. The cloned demon suddenly disappeared into nothingness and the other demon fled. But Sai saw that Takki did not look so good...

Finally, I found the person who was screaming. It was indeed Yuki, my sister.

"Are you here? When did you come here? Are y'all right? Did the demon hurt you?"

"I'm fine, but how are you? I was in my room when I heard a slashing noise in my father's room, so I went and saw a dragon attacking him. So I rushed out of his room and went to your room. I saw that you were gone. So I thought you were in dad's dojo. When I got here, I saw another dragon demon there, so I hid there. Luckily you're here."

"Ok Yuki, let's get out of here quickly. We still have to save mom and dad, and Sai is still fighting that dragon-like demon."

So we ran out of the half-destroyed dojo. As we ran out, we saw Sai's horse Takki next to Sai. Takki looked like he was going to die at any moment. His eye was bleeding and his hair was bleached. Sai was trying to heal him. He looked like he was casting a spell. When Hanabi saw him, she quickly ran to her brother's side to help him heal Takki.

" It does not look so good...", Hanabi said and sniffled.

" No, his heart is still beating. We must not give up," said Sai.

Suddenly Sai and Yudai hear a voice from the heartbeat (Takki is a special horse, he can communicate with his heartbeat) of Takki...

" Please do not try to save me Sai, thank you for having me as your pet. Save the parents of the child. Then I will go in peace.

" I will do it Takki ... Rest in peace Takki ... Let us go people, Sai said sobbing. So after Takki's painful death, we went to my house. Fortunately, the demon disappeared there. We quickly sneaked into dad's room. Sai quickly began to check on the two of them.

"They do not look so good Yudai, we need to check on them further quickly. Yudai, you should rest first. You seem tired."

Thus me and Yuki slept all night while Sai and Hanabi went to check on our parents.
