Chapter 1:

Prologue-Part 2

Tifara & David-Season 1

Walking out of the classroom when the bell rings, the fifth year students there left the classroom without their trays and Tifara exited last in relief. While she looked around the hallway, a bunch of students in her grade level walked past her and got their stuff out of their lockers. A certain number of boys and girls behaved the same way as Tifara experienced in the hallway earlier. Then she heard a girl's voice calling out her name. Her eyes widened out of excitement and her smile became full of joy as she recognized that girl's voice.

Ah! It's gotta be May! She gotta be here somewhere with Sam and Dalila! I gotta go find them! she thought, turning to her left and searching for her friends, until she saw two girls and a boy standing against the wall, smiling and waving at her. It's them! I gotta go meet them!

Tifara quickly walked her way towards her friends and stopped near them without the crowd getting in her way. May's purple flower hairpin stood onto her black, short hair under the spotlight; those flowers appeared as the Mayflowers. Her blue stopwatch appeared on her left wrist. Sam's black glasses stared at Tifara. There wasn't a single wrinkle on his navy blue, uniform pants. Then Dalila's red heart appeared onto her bracelet. Her pink earrings stood behind her reddish-brown, straight hair.

"Hi, you guys," Tifara said with her widening eyes.

"Hi, Tifara. We heard you got lunch detention today, so we came here…waiting for you," May responded, then frowning at Tifara. "Why didn't you text us earlier?! We could've at least know where you are if you did. We texted you a couple times. Your parents woulda get mad at us if we didn't protect you!"

"Yeah, we were so worried about you! We thought you would've been sexually assaulted or something far worse," Dalila growled.

"Sorry about that." Tifara gave her friends her despirited face. "I was gonna text y'all back, but Mr. Kontos wouldn't let me."

"Man, Mr. Kontos is literally one of the worst administrators in this school, ever," Sam responded, frowning with his eyes closed.

"Tell me about it," May said, rolling her eyes.

"So, guys…" Sam said, opening his eyes.

"What?" Tifara asked.

"Did y'all hear that our friend Saul is leading the Secondary School Presidential race against those two horrible seventh years?!" Sam excitedly responded.

"Oh, yeah. I've heard that Joel and Abijah are definitely going to lose in the next couple months," Tifara exclaimed. "Speaking of Saul, I've heard he received an endorsement from Sam Senior-the most popular Secondary School President ever! Aaaah! I'm so excited for him!"

"I know, right?!" May also exclaimed with an open smile. "Sam Senior's in his last year of Secondary School, and then come next year, we'll see Saul as the next Secondary School President!"

"Oh, yeah! Tell me about it!" Tifara exclaimed with a grin as she amazingly looked up at the ceiling, then at Sam. "And Saul couldn't have done it without Elohim's help!"

"Yep, that's actually quite true!" Dalila agreed, smiling at Sam.

Sam beamed back at Dalila, then turned his attention back to May and Tifara. "And I gotta thank Elohim for introducing me to Saul as a sole alternative to either Joel and Abijah."

"Ooooh, I can't wait to get close to him again, just like I did in the cafeteria today!" May exclaimed when her cheeks began to flush.

Ah! Tifara thought, quickly scowling at May. The shadows covered her forehead and eyes whenever her eyes gave May her death stare.

"I wish Imma a sixth year instead of fifth, so I could meet him in that same area," May added.

"I'm sure you'll meet him again right after school," Dalila reassured May with her eyes closed.

"Yeah, totally," May agreed, smiling at Dalila, shaking her head in agreement with her.

Oh, I'm definitely gonna get my hands on Saul; I literally won't allow anyone including May to either get a hold of my future husband, nor put their grimey hands on him, Tifara angrily thought.

"And now that Saul's more popular than Joel and Abijah, they're gonna smear Saul's character relentlessly as their only option," Sam said. "He has better school policies than them. That's literally all they got."

"Right?" Dalila agreed, shaking her head with her eyes closed. "I mean after bullying and taking advantage of people, especially the unfortunate ones, and being able to get away with shit without accountability from even the principal, they're finally about to receive Elohim's judgement."

"Oh, yeah, they're totally going down," Tifara agreed.

"Yep," May also agreed.

"Look, everybody! Saul is now entering the area of Year Waw students!" One of the students' voices exclaimed.

While May and Tifara excitedly gasped with their mouths opened and scarlet cheeks, May turned around and Tifara immediately ran around her friends.

"Y'all gotta excuse me. I'm gonna go see Saul. He-hee!" Tifara exclaimed, turning to her friends and the entrance of the Year Hei students' section back and forth while running.

"Ugh!" May expanded her eyes, louring at Tifara. "No fair, Tifara! I wanna come to see Saul too!"

When May raced against Tifara, Dalila chuckled, moving her head to the side. The crowd who remained in the hallway, however, also wanted to see Saul and began to run for Tifara and May's destination.

"Ugh!" Sam was holding Dalila's hand. With his other, he pointed at Tifara and May. "Hey, you two. Don't y'all be fightin' over Saul now, ya hear?!"

The two girls ignored him. Dalila took a break to say to her boyfriend, "Come on, let's go see Saul. We've got plenty of time before that five minute warning bell rings."

Looking at Dalila, Sam smiled. "Yeah, I guess you're right, Dalila. Let's go."

"Mhm," Dalila agreed as she and Sam walked towards them, fighting their way through the crowd.

As soon as Tifara and her friends made it towards their destination, they stood to the side of the entrance and leaned against the wall. The voices of the crowd chatted among themselves; the girls' faces turned red while the boys smiled excitedly. They saw Saul and his friends entering the area of the Year Waw students, waving at everyone around them and the crowd in the Year Hei section; everyone near them greeted them there. Saul appeared taller than everyone else including his two friends behind him. One of his friends carried a couple of books in his arms. His other friend next to them wore orange, squared glasses, displaying her emotionless face.

"Oh, would you look at Saul," May said with her eyes nearly closed and her scarlet cheeks.

"Oh, yeah. Isn't he handsome?" Tifara asked with a twinkle and also her reddened cheeks.

As soon as the five minute warning bell rang, Sam said to Tifara and May, "Alright, y'all. I gotta go get to class. I'll see y'all in another passing period."

They said goodbyes when Sam warned once more, "Never fight over Saul! And May-"

May turned to Sam with her annoyed face. "Watch over and protect Tifara. I get it, Sam. You don't have to repeat that shit to me twice, y'know."

"Alright now, chillax, May. I was just makin' sure you don't forget. That's all. Sheesh. You don't need to be that way," Sam said.

Dalila's eyes began to extend for a second and placed her hand onto her chest. May noticed Dalila's strange behavior while Tifara kept her focus on Saul.

"Ugh!" Dalila said, tightening her fist onto her chest with her eyes widened even more.

"Dalila? Are you alright?" May asked.

With Dalila's silence echoing near Tifara, May, Sam and the other fifth years, Tifara then curiously turned her attention to Dalila. Tifara and May widened their eyes when they saw Dalila kneeling down onto the floor and still held her hands onto her chest. More and more fifth years noticed Dalila appearing to be in pain.

"Dalila?" Tifara questioned.

"DALILA?!" Sam yelled so loudly that the sixth year students heard his voice across from them. They curiously watched Dalila fall and talked with one another. The friends weren't quick enough to catch Dalila and her body landed hard on the floor. The fifth and sixth year students alike gasped at the scene and began to approach to see what was going on, but the friends ignored them and kneeled down to look after the fallen. Also Saul and his friends came closer while May, Sam and Tifara called over and over again, "Dalila. Dalila! DALILA!" Dalila however did not answer. She closed her eyes.

May then turned to Sam and Tifara. "Okay, guys. I'm gonna go get the staff to call the ambulance for Dalila!"

"Yea, good idea, May," Sam agreed, shaking his head with tears coming out of his eyes.

"Mhm," Tifara also agreed.

While May began to run through the crowd, the crowd still chattered with one another, surrounding Sam and Tifara. Tifara turned her sad eyes towards the ceiling. Dear Elohim, whatever You do, please deliver Dalila to the hospital and use the doctors to heal her bad heart there. I have never seen anything quite like this before. I have faith in You. In Yeshua's name, Amen, she thought, returning her attention to Dalila.

Seeing Sam cried onto one of Dalila's hands, Tifara felt bad for him. Being that worried over his girlfriend's health condition, Tifara understood how he felt, pretending to be in his shoes. She planned to visit Dalila in a hospital afterschool with her friends from then on. She and everyone else, even her own enemies, hoped that Dalila got better soon. She believed Elohim and His Son will never abandon Dalila, and Dalila will get through it with Their help as well as her, May and Sam by Dalila's side, no matter how much Dalila struggled through and through. Otherwise, what hope was there for?
