Chapter 6:

Tornado Effect

Void in the Realm

V was wearing the receiver brain helmet. It took him a few seconds to understand where he was and what he was doing. Myra wasn’t sure V remembered those flashes that she saw from his memory.

“Do you remember how this cut happened?” Myra asked. V took the helmet from his head using his left hand and his right palm was still hurting. He tried to recall but he had a small headache. “That’s okay, you don’t stress over it. Where is Dr. Luther now?” Myra asked.

“He’s gone,” V said. “What do you mean by he’s gone?”Myra asked and rushed towards the tornado. “Before I could catch hold of him, he used his holographic mind chip to create a fire ring and he went somewhere,” V recalled. “But I don’t know how he did it though.”

“I think I know.” Myra went near the tornado and she was sure she had a connection to it. “Wait! Have this with you,” V gave Katie to her. Dylan was working with the tau experiment. He came over once he saw Dr. Myra rushed and stood near the perimeter.

She scanned her hand on the glass that enclosed the turquoise tornado, its shape shifted like her. With the clue she had from the flashes, she took a drop of blood and split a drop of it where there was a provision. I took the blood through a pipe and dropped onto the turquoise tornado. The glass that was shielding the tornado opened and once the blood was on it, the tornado turned into gold color.

“What’s happening?” Dylan questioned. “You shouldn’t be here.” Myra said. “This was supposed to help V get back to his universe. Why did you stand inside the perimeter?”

“I just came here to get real time data. I just got too excited and mesmerized by what’s going,” By the time Dylan could explain, he vanished inside of the tornado. She was so focused on Dylan that she lost sight of V. Suddenly, Myra felt like something was pulling her. She was pulled by the tornado even if she was outside the perimeter. She had overlapping voices of V, Dr.Luther and herself. She heard Dr. Luther says, “We should stop this experiment right now Dr. Myra. It is going out of our hands.” “We are too close to figure out our way back to our universe. Wait, I think I saw myself in the tornado,” Myra heard herself but from outside of the swirl.

Dr. Myra felt a stretch all over her body and finally she appeared as a whole in a place. It was dusk or dawn, she wasn't able to figure it out. The air was so thin to breathe as if she was at an elevation. She was in a lab. She looked around and she had a weird feeling of that place. There was a blank space and the lab was empty. “Hello! Is anybody there?” Dr. Myra asked. There was no response. She walked towards the window and saw a mountain far away. There was an animal right outside the window. It looked like a deer. It suddenly turned towards Dr. Myra.”Oh no,” she freaked out. The deer had similar features as we usually see but it had an extra eye at the center of the forehead. “I am just dreaming! Wake up Myra, wake up,” she said to herself. She closed the blinds and walked towards the exit to find someone.

The corridor looked so different. It had moving sidewalks throughout. While moving forward, she saw an office with a computerized board that stated Dr. Luther. When she knocked, no one responded. It was locked. Towards her right, she saw the date. It was January 2, 2035. She was perplexed. “The technology in this place looked out of the world. Even if it was the future, it was understandable. But it is the past, it doesn’t make sense,” she thought to herself. She finds someone in the front desk and that person looks normal. “Is this earth?” Dr. Myra asked. They said something to Dr. Myra and she couldn’t understand it. She had V’s device inside her pocket. She had noticed how V used it before. Even though she had only the device she could make it translate for her. That’s when she realized she was in universe 12.
