That article was dated the next day after V’s and Dylan’s disappearance. Kendra picked up the article from the floor. The headlines stated, “Mystery unresolved: Disappearance of 4 people”. When she was about to read the content, Luther walked in and there was no sign of Rando near them. “Greetings! Dr. Myra and Leona,” Luther was surprised to see Leona here. “We were just talking, Leona was back early from school, so she came over,” Kendra tried to hide all that was going on. “It’s great to see you both getting along so quickly. Leona usually never enjoys human interaction except for her family members,” Luther said. “Well, she’s family now,” Leona said. “And I have got to go. Bye Kendra” she continued and left the office. “Bye Leona. I will take care of it,” Kendra said as she was leaving. “Do you find everything okay here Dr. Myra?” Luther asked. “Yes, absolutely. I should probably get back to my work,” Kendra responded. “Yes, you carry on. I will leave you to be. Have a good rest of the day, Dr. Myra. Don’t work too hard,” Luther said and left her office.

Kendra heard Rando again once Luther left. “Come here little fellow! How did you get here?” She petted Rando and suddenly he started becoming visible. “What on earth just happened?” Kendra was confused. “Wof wof,” Rando started wagging his tail and he was so cute. “Okay, now you stay inside the room Rando and once work is done, I will take you back to our house. Okay?” Kendra said and Rando was very happy to see her. She then took the article back and found out that there wasn’t any much useful information from that but she was not sure how Rando got here. But she figured out a few things from this. First, whoever travels to this universe, needn’t have to go to the same year and time. Second, time works very differently in this universe.

As she was working on the Katie project in that universe, she was able to do all the initial work very quickly. She understood that the only way she can think of to get back to her universe is to complete the working of the device. After work, she brought him back to her house. She wanted to buy her own car so that she could drive around on her own. Kendra knocked at the Sanders house and she took Rando with her. Sanders was surprised to see Rando with her. “Hey Kendra! What is Rando doing here? We were about to put him up for adoption and he went missing,” Samantha said, inviting them both into the house. “Great! I have adopted him now, I guess. Is there any particular procedure to do that here?” Kendra asked. “Umm, you just need to get the consent of the previous owner, that is us Sanders, as we haven’t put him up for adoption yet.”

“Good to know. So, I have a quick question. Where do I get a car to drive around?” Kendra asked. “Why do you need a car when you have someone who could drive you back and forth from work? And you could always go out by just calling him and he could take you,” Samantha said, bringing a plate full of snacks. “I understand. But I would like to drive around on my own, “Kendra said. “Getting a license is very hard here, especially for people out of town Kendra.” Treyton said. “Hey there Mr. Sanders! Where can I learn to drive?” Kendra asked. "I will send you all the details regarding that to you Kendra. Don’t worry about it. How was your first day at work?” Treyton asked. “Yes, it was fun. And guess who is here?” Kendra said with excitement. “Rando! How come he’s here?” Treyton was shocked as he was the one who suggested giving him up for adoption. “I don’t think he’s safe here Kendra. You might have to get him out of this town,” Treyton said. “Is it because he has two eyes?” Kendra asked. “That is one of the reasons, yes,” Treyton said. Rando sat on Kendra’s lap and wouldn’t move. He was very fond of her. “It looks like he’s liking you so much though.” Samantha said. Rando gave the puppy eyes look and they were finding it hard to let him go. “You could keep him but we need to protect him,” Treyton said. “Sure thing,” Kendra responded.

Leona came running from her room after seeing Rando and hugged him tightly. They both started playing. She was so surprised to see him again. Kendra smiled at Leona and winked. “Okay, I will get back to my stay area then. Have a good night,” Kendra said. “I will play with him for some time and can he come there after sometime?,” Leona asked. “Yes, absolutely Leona. We are family after all,” Kendra gave a big smile and Leona was so glad. When Kendra moved away from Rando, he glitched for a second. He turned invisible for a second and came back to becoming visible. “Did you,” Kendra started asking Leona. “I guess I am probably so tired after a long day, “Kendra continued and went back to her stay area.
