Chapter 3:

Shane Kole's decision

Playing With Fire

On Friday, Cara was working in her room on her laptop. She wanted to do some work before she started working with Sky Tribe on Monday. There were some files left to finish, so she did that and sent them to Shane.

As she was working, someone texted her.

'Hi, Cara' was the text.

'Who is this?' she texted back.

'Oh come on. Don't tell me you didn't save my number' was the reply.

'I'm gonna block you' she texted.

'It's me, Yuri' he texted.

'Oh, it's you. I didn't knew. I'll save your number right away' she texted.

After saving his number they kept on texting for at least 30 minutes until someone called her. It was Shane!

"Where are the files?," he asked her.

"They're done. I'm sending them to you," she told him.

"You said that 15 minutes ago. What are you doing, you bitch?," he said.

"N-nothing. I'm sending them," she said, scared.

She sent them super quick so that he didn't come to his room in a rage unfathomable.

'I'll talk to you later' she texted Yuri.

'What? Why?' he texted.

'Gotta go' she texted.

On Saturday, Cara didn't go to work. Probably because she was tired and because no one was worried about a CEO raging about work files.

She helped Melissa with today's lunch. She was happy to see her in a good mood. She served the lunch to a hungry Shane.

"Did you make this?," he asked.

"Yeah. Why?," she asked.

"It's not better than Mel's," he said.

"Yeah. So.....," she said.

"So what?," he said.

"So stop eating it!," she said.

"Why? Why should I stop eating it? You stop!," he yelled.

"You're telling me to stop eating the food I made myself? Who do you think you are, huh? You fucking bastard!," she raged at him.

"Don't forget your place, bitch," he told her, "Don't you know how much Dad and me hate you but we're still keeping you and your stupid cousin here."

"She's your cousin, too. And she's not stupid. The guy she'll get married to will be super happy to have her," she said.

"Oh. Great idea. Let's get her married and out of our lives," he said, smiling.

With that he went away, outside into his car and drove off. Cara didn't quite understand what he meant by that. Still, she thought about it but thought he was joking, not that he ever did that.
