Chapter 27:

The Tale of how I Reincarnated as a Hero but Decided to Help the Demon Lord Instead(pt.3)

The Tale of how I was Reincarnated as a Hero but Decided I'd Help the Demon Lord Instead.

Lux and the able-bodied people of Towyn made their way to Castle Lothrin in the middle of the night.

"Why did Makono have to go and screw everything up. We'd have more then enough intelligence to infiltrate the castle safely if she just listened. For all we know the ramparts could be full of soldiers waiting for us. She may have killed us all?" Lux panicked nervously.

"Don't be such a worrywort. I'm sure everything will be fine." Usagi said in a teasing voice.

Even though Usagi was teasing him Lux felt great comfort in her words and stared at her longer then intended.

"Stop staring! Creep." Usagi blurted out, red as a tomato.

As Towyn approached the castle they noticed something was wrong. There wasn't a single soldier on the ramparts. Only a single man striking a dramatic pose as he ran his smooth hands through his magnificent auburn hair. Even the way he looked at Lux with his hot pink eyes were as elegant as possible.

"Hello invaders. My name is Eros one of the three Major Generals in Lothrin's army. Pleasure to meet you." As Eros finished speaking he bowed allowing his gorgeous white cloak to flap in the wind. "Now that you've all no doubt falling in love with me, how about you lay down your arms."

Immediately almost all of Towyn was enthralled.

"What's going on?" Laif asked in a worried voice as he noticed almost all of Towyn dropping their weapons and surrendering with lovestruck eyes, even Nyx and Gurak were completely spellbound. "Not you too Nyx. He's not even that good looking, I mean pink eyes? Seriously trying too hard much."

Lux barely managed to resistance Eros. "Damn him. The pervert's using charm magic we can't do anything to help them while he's still around." Lux strained before suddenly changing tone. "Wow his eyes are soo pretty!"

Alas even Lux's will proved to be no match to Eros' magic as he to fell to the ground.

"Oh your love is overflowing! It's all over my majestic smoking hot bode!" Eros moaned.

"You serious. If I was given a choice between wiping my rear with poison ivy or looking at your cataclysmic abomination you call a 'bode' for another second I'd pick the former any day!" Laif shouted instantly stringing his bow.

Eros growled in fury plotting how slowly he was gonna kill him.

Miyamoto attempted to trace Colt with his revolver pointed at him but his speed made it impossible to do so.

"Is this really how a general of Lothrin's army fights? Running in circles and hoping for the be-" Interrupting Miyamoto was a well-placed punch in the stomach delivered by Colt with enough force make Miyamoto get airtime.

"Your taunts mean nothing to me. You betrayed us and for that you'll be killed, but that doesn't mean it has to be quick." Colt then continued to dash around Miyamoto in circles disorienting him.

"I could just burn him to ash but I'd rather not draw everyone's attention to me especially since I'd be pooped after casting my fire spell." Miyamoto muttered aloud.

"I guess I'll just have to beat you using my smarts then." Miyamoto said with a sinister grin.

Colt released a series of quickly executed attacks while Miyamoto was forced to just wait for an opening that was seemingly never gonna come.

"Your plan is to just let me hit you? I'm starting to like you." Colt taunted.

Just as Colt dashed to attack Miyamoto he realized with a half second to spare that he was running right into the barrel of Miyamoto's gun, barely abled to dodge, the bullet struck Colt's ear nearly blasting it off.

Colt immediately made some distance holding his ear in pain as his blood poured from his hand.

The psychopath in Miyamoto was relentless though as he aimed his gun at Colt again, his eyes void of emotion.

Colt saw the look in his eyes and began to panic, his legs started to tremble unable to move.

"Those eyes, your a psychopath." Colt said with a whimper.

"Not anymore, what was called a psycho in our world is simply a assassin in this one, you will be the second person I've ever killed, and the first one I don't have to worry about regretting since Tokuma took Makono."

Miyamoto cocked the hammer back even though his revolver was double-action, he couldn't tell if he did it to stall or to terrify Colt even more so than he already was.

Out of the corner of his eye Miyamoto saw Graxia rushing down the halls to far for her to stop him.

"Damn it." Miyamoto groaned as he lowered his gun. "She was supposed to stay with Musashi, I can't kill you in front of the damn priestess, you lucky bastard."

Colt collapsed to the ground panting in relief.

"But I also can't let you chase Tokuma and Makono which means," Miyamoto said as he fired a round into each of Colt's feet. "I have to stop you from trying. Don't worry Graxia's a high priestess she'll be abled to patch you up."

"Miyamoto wait!" Graxia shouted from the hall. Miyamoto wished he could oblige but he knew Freiala had to be stopped before she caught up with Tokuma.

"Make sure the exhibitionist doesn't die!" Miyamoto shouted before attempting to catch up with Freiala.

Meanwhile Freiala wasn't letting me up. Unfortunately since it was a straight hall I couldn't use an illusion to divert her as she knew the palace better then me, to further show how unlucky I was she was catching up quickly due to the fact that she wasn't carrying a rather heavy fox-girl.

As she stepped forward the ground absorbed her step and she fell into a dark world where everything was turned upside down. In the distance was a large draconic creature scaling larger then the castle itself.

I had hoped the illusion I created would keep her distracted long enough to get away and it was working at first, but it didn't last long enough.

"Stop running coward, and stop with the damned illusions."

Using spatial manipulation I grabbed her leg and tripped Freiala which allowed me to create more distance at the small cost of my pride.

"That was a cheep shop! Fine, I don't need to catch up to you in order to kill you and the demon lord! Ice javelin!" Freiala shouted from the ground as she conjured a spear made from ice as the name entails.

Fortunately she barely missed us freezing several strands of my hair.

"Wait for me damnit! I ain't as good as I once was." The elder priest occupying Freiala said.

"Sorry Nox. I couldn't let him get away." Fraiala groaned as she stumbled back to her feet.

But alas since I wasn't waiting I was doing just that running away.

"Holy grasp of Thanatos!" Nox shouted as a gargantuan golden hand reached from his body and grabbed me in a warm and terrifying grasp. "Come back child, and Thanatos may yet find you worthy for redemption."

"Thanatos is the one who wanted me to do this." I pleaded as my movements were completely hindered along with Makono beside me "Remember I'm a hero."

For a second Nox believed me.

"Bull, in case you forgot I'm also a hero!" Fraiala yelled infuriated.

"Your snake tongue won't help you. Repent. For the lives you've tried to steal from our heroes." Nox said as he tightened his grip.

Even though his grasp was painful I could only imagine how much pain Makono was in, and the very thought of it pissed me off."I don't have time for this." I growled as white flames began emitting from me meanwhile Makono was still sound asleep.

"If your running out of time why are you picking a fight?" Miyamoto casually asked as he leaned against a wall deactivating both Freiala's and Nox's powers and freeing me.

"Now I can tell your both magic users so I'll give you the opportunity to surrender. I'm not into killing people who are incapable of posing a threat such as you guys."

Freiala growled in frustration knowing Miyamoto was right.

"You win." Nox submitted. "There is no need for more bloodshed."

"Appreciate it." Miyamoto said. "Now run along Tokuma you've got a demon lord to rescue, I'll watch these two."

"Thanks, I won't forget this." I said as I carried Makono over my shoulder. Before I was worried she'd wake up due to her pain but it was obvious she wasn't going to anytime soon. As a matter of fact if I didn't check her breathing I'd probably think she had died.

I continued on my way out of the castle with Makono on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry meister. He was a better fechter then I thought. If not for the Priesterin I'd have died." Johannes said before Lothrin.

"It doesn't matter. Did you sow the seeds?"

"Indeed but all I said was 'Hana is waiting' how does that help us? It's just a name." Johannes inquired.

"A father would go through great lengths for his children. Betrayal is nothing." Lothrin replied.
