The car soon stopped in front of a warehouse, the vicinity was empty and no cars were nearby, it was as if this place was abandoned years ago. But Lan Du stepped out the car and entered the warehouse. She went to the run down elevator and took out a small card.

She then tapped the right side of the elevator wall, the elevator opened up and inside was almost brand new. Lan Du stepped in, and Xiao Bai followed in closely.

"I haven't been to this branch yet, which floor is the report centre" Lan Du asked

Xiao Bai clicked the number 2 and the elevator started going down. When the doors opened, Lan Du stepped out and a green light shone down on her like a scanner.

Lan Du stepped forward and she headed immediately to the very end of the room. The area underground was large, and the whole place was bustling with other members. When they saw Lan Du however, they all made way out of fear.

Lan Du tossed a pile of paper onto the desk she stopped at

"The mission is completed, the rewards should be transferred already" Lan Du said

The lady seated nodded as she checked each page with intensity. She soon finished and nodded her head. She winked at Lan Du and smiled.

"Du Du, how about big sister invite you for a drink later? I'll give you an unforgettable night" She said with a seductive smile as she licked the side of her lips.

Lan Du chuckled

"Sister Bei, if you keep acting like that, I'll be targeted by many of your suitors, who doesn't know that you have the scariest suitors amongst all the ladies here" Lan Du replied with a smile.

The lady pouted

"Humph, just say so if you don't want to, don't act dumb, not even some elite managers don't dare to command you without watching out their own back, seriously, unless the master managers are here, no one can even touch you" She puffed her cheeks and said as she stared at Lan Du's delicate face.

"And take off that skin mask, big sister wants to see your pretty face before going to sleep later" She twirled her fingers around her dangling hair and said.

Lan Du sighed helplessly

"Sister Bei, did I offend you in my past life? You're not giving me any outs" Lan Du muttered

Sister Bei laughed

"Nah, but seeing your pretty face just gives me a good night sleep" She replied

Lan Du removed her skin mask helplessly and revealed her original face. When she did so, sister Bei clasped her hands together and smiled sweetly, but only then did she notice that Lan Du's clothes were tattered.

"Who did this to you? Big sister will take care of them for you"

Lan Du smiled

"No need, I already made him watch his own intestines get squeezed out his stomach before I shot him, unless you want to make sure he can't rest in peace, go right ahead" Lan Du smiled sweetly as she said.

Sister Bei froze

"Haiz, when it comes to cruelty, you're still a few notches above me, and here I was, wanting to stand up for the crazed fiend" She shook her head helplessly

Lan Du laughed

"I'll go get some new clothes now, I wouldn't want to worry sister Bei"

"You just want to get away from me, don't you?" She replied immediately

Lan Du laughed awkwardly

"Big sister Bei is as observant as usual" She then dashed off

"Get back here! I was hoping I was wrong! Dammit!" She shouted as she watched Lan Du run off, her voice was heard by everyone, and some of them grumbled.

"The damn, fiend is now teasing sister Bei again, makes me jealous" One grumbled

"If only sister Bei has eyes on me, if not for it being the crazed fiend, I'd really want to kill anyone that approaches her"

"Pah, even if you do that, I'd kill you for trying, sister Bei is mine"

The groups soon began to argue and received the cold glares from sister Bei. Seeing this, they trembled and sat back down quietly.

"Sister Bei is so pretty, if only she wasn't this fierce"

"Yeah"

"..."

Lan Du stopped running after a bit, she looked around and scratched her head.

"Where'd Xiao Bai go? He was here a moment ago" She muttered, in reality, she was completely lost since she hasn't been to this branch yet, as for how she knew sister Bei, for some reason, she would be whichever branch Lan Du was at.

Lan Du asked her about this before, but she only replied "Never ask a woman about their secrets"

Lan Du never asked about it ever since, she looked around and finally found Xiao Bai, but he was surrounded by a few members she was unfamiliar with.

She walked over and heard them talking

"Xiao Bai, you think you can be proud just because you're now a mid-rank manager? Heh, what a joke, you'll forever trash" A man grabbed Xiao Bai's hair and smack him across the face.

Xiao Bai had a smaller build than most people, he couldn't do a thing when they humiliated him. Lan Du's eyes became cold, she walked over with dead cold eyes.

"Had enough fun boys?" Lan Du grabbed the man's shoulders and said coldly

The man didn't turn around, he smacked Lan Du's hand away and sneered

"Who are you to tell me when I am having fun" He sneered and said as he raised his hand again, preparing to smack Xiao Bai.

Lan Du grabbed him by his neck from behind and his body was slowly lifted. As he was being held, he slowly began choking and released Xiao Bai.

"When I ask you a question, you give me a direct answer of yes or no, I don't take kindly to offences" Lan Du said demandingly as she tossed him aside.

Lan Du walked over to Xiao Bai and placed a hand on where he was smacked

"Does it hurt?" She asked gently, though she usually bullies Xiao Bai, he was someone who she had been with for the past 6 years, he had worked with her and been with her almost every time she took on a mission from the Underworld.

So her attachment to Xiao Bai was like a guardian, she caressed his hair gently and glared at the surrounding group.

"It seems that the  brats have grown to be defiant, how should I deal with this? I'll give you all a choice, a finger or a toe" Lan Du said coldly, her aura was so heavy that it caused some of them to suffocate.

The group trembled, all of them knew who this was, who wouldn't know? Lan Du was someone who is known as a frenzied beast by many, she didn't even care if there were domain realm fighters in the room.

They all began shaking in fear as they turned to the man who was tossed by her.

"I-It was all him! We were just here to see what happened" They made up all sorts of excuses and pinned all the blame on that man.

"pfft, funny, when dogs bite, they really are merciless, but pity, I don't like dogs who bite my men, now that you have taken so long, I'll be taking double of what I said earlier" She slashed her dagger and objects dropped to the ground.

Soon, blood covered the floor and only then did they realise, it was fingers that had dropped. Two from each person, there were over a dozen of them on the ground. The group cried out, not knowing what had happened, but they knew, they had just lost their fingers to Lan Du.

"Xiao Bai, when someone bullies you, tell me, only I'm allowed to bully you" Lan Du squeezed his face gently and said.

Xiao Bai nodded, his eyes were teary and he hugged Lan Du. Lan Du patted his head and glared at the man on the ground.

She had Xiao Bai stand back for a bit and walked over to the man.

"You were quite daring, touching my people and even slapping my hand away" Lan Du kicked him in the ribs and a crack sound was made.

"Lets go, Xiao Bai" Lan Du walked back and rubbed Xiao Bai's head

Xia Bai nodded, like a puppy, he stuck close to her and rubbed his head on her hand. Lan Du giggled and walked along with him.

Lan Du had Xiao Bai lead her to a private room where she got herself a new change of clothes, she went to the bathroom to change out, only when she took off her clothes did she realise the bandages around her chest were loosening up.

She unwrapped it and took out a new set of bandages in which she began wrapping her chest in. As she tightened it, she stared at the mirror, she still had blood on her clothes, the ones on her face were taken off along with her skin mask.

She threw away the bloodied clothes and changed into the new set. She also changed the bandages wrapping her neck, as she took it off, a scar was seen on her neck.

"The scar is staying quite well, it will last as an excuse for a good amount of time" Lan Du muttered as she wrapped the bandages over her neck.

She stepped out the bathroom and saw Xiao Bai with his head down as he sat on the bed.

"Am I useless as your manager?" He asked

Lan Du shook her head

"You're doing a wonderful job, of course, if you start doubting yourself and want to quit...you'll be seeing quite a few managers get sent to the infirmary by me until you're back" Lan Du chuckled

Xiao Bai's face lit up

"Thank you, sometimes I wonder if you're somehow my parent, you're always looking out for me" He said sweetly

Lan Du pinched his nose

"I'm still young, if I ever have a child your age, I'd be more shocked than anyone else" Lan Du said as she stared at him.

Xiao Bai nodded

"Go get some sleep, I'll go check out the exchange market, my contribution points have been saved for a total of 6 years now" Lan Du licked the side of her lips as she walked out and closed the door.

Xiao Bai stared at the wall for a while

"Sometimes I don't get him..." He muttered but smiled sweetly as he laid on the bed.

Lan Du was walking around, anyone she passed would shrink back and stare at the ground, not daring to even look her in the eye. In fact, no one wanted to look in her general direction.

Lan Du somewhat enjoyed this, she went to the elevator and paused.

"Crap, I forgot to ask Xiao Bai which level the exchange market is on" Lan Du muttered, she looked around, hoping to see someone she could ask, but everyone avoided her eyes.

Lan Du frowned, then, a person reached out a hand and clung onto Lan Du's arm. Lan Du turned her head and saw sister Bei smiling at him.

"I won't let ou get away this time" She giggled and said

Lan Du felt puzzled

"What about your work?" She asked

Sister Bei tugged her arm

"Big sister specially used my monthly early leave for you today, are you moved?" She said with a flirtous gaze and leaned towards Lan Du's face.

Lan Du used one hand and pushed her back

"Enough, can you tell me which floor the exchange market is on" Lan Du asked

Sister Bei had a disappointed gaze but she answered anyways

"It's on the 5th floor, what? Are you finally going to use your points?" She looked up and asked

Lan Du nodded

"I've been saving for something for quite a while, it wasn't cheap so all I could do was save up for 6 years" Lan Du smiled and entered the elevator with sister Bei linking her arms around hers.

She clicked on the fifth floor and waited, in the elevator, sister Bei tried to approach her multiple times, only to get pushed back and rejected over and over again.

Lan Du walked out, she was scanned once again along with sister Bei, when they exited, multiple gazes landed on them.

"Crap, it's the crazed fiend! Why is he here?"

"I heard he hasn't even touched the exchange market for the past 6 years, why is here now?"

Lan Du walked with a serious face, but she would recieve some glares from people due to sister Bei's constant clinging.

The market has much bigger than the report centre, it had many stalls set up with screens and hollowgrams that showcased many goods.

"Don't be so cold, Du Du, let big sister entertain you for a bit" She winked and said

Lan Du ignored her words and stopped in front of a large egg, it was the size of a human's head. She stared at the price tag.

Lan Du took out her card

"Du Du, how rich are you? This egg has been hear for many years, can you actually afford it?" Sister Bei asked with a curious expression.

The egg was not only big, but it was incredibly sturdy, it was covered in a layer of red crystals and the shell had strange patterns over it.

'I have searched for this egg since I was 13, when I saw it, I was surprised myself, the egg of the Blood Empress, unlike any spirit treasures that enhances a human's spiritual strength and body, this egg will give birth to the child of a Blood Empress which we humans can absorb, those who absorbs it will have a spirit source that has it's own conscious, once it matures in the future, I will be able to fully utilise the power of a blood empress' Lan Du thought to herself, she swiped her card as she selected the egg.

Once she scanned it, the projection disappeared and a hole opened up below the projection tool. Then, the real egg slowly emerged and Lan Du's hands trembled in excitement.

She held the egg and carefully stored it in her bag which was filled with soft cloth and cotton to ensure the egg's safety as she walked, though it is harder than most steel, Lan Du just wanted to be secure.

She then turned to sister Bei who wore a shocked expression

"Y-You actually had enough!? Du Du, you must raise me in the future, with so much points, even some higher ups would be jealous" She stated with shock

Lan Du shook her head

"That was basically all my points, the moment I had enough, I came here to buy it, so I'm pretty much broke now" Lan Du smiled and started walking.

"Sister Bei, I'll see you in the future, for now, I need to go sleep" Lan Du waved her hand and left sister Bei who was still in a daze, she thought back on Lan Du's dazzling smile as she covered her face.

"When I was born, I waited for my king, but once the king is born, I'm already too old" She sighed and shook her head.

Lan Du headed back to her private room, inside, Xiao Bai was asleep on the bed, she smiled and entered the bathroom with her bag beside her. She made sure the door was locked before sitting down.

She took out the crystal like egg and placed it n front of her, she placed one hand on the top of the crystal egg and closed her eyes. Her spiritual strength surged out, all focused into the egg, sweat began to roll down her face as she continued to wrap the egg with her spiritual strength.

Soon, the egg began to absorb it bit by bit, she then felt a gentle heartbeat coming from within the egg. The crystal began to crack, revealing a red egg, soon, the egg also began cracking, but Lan Du's face also became more pale.

After a few minutes, a hand burst out from within the egg, and a figure emerged slowly. An adorable child like figure crawled out, it had a delicate looking face and long red hair. She wore a blood red robe and it's pupils were blood red, matching it's entirety.

Lan Du smiled, despite her pale face, she reached out her hand and gently rubbed the small figure. The adorable little spirit felt Lan Du's touch and rubbed it's head against Lan Du's palm. She then picked up the shells it hatched from and started to munch on it. Before long, all the shells wer eaten by it.

Then it slowly floated in front of Lan Du, her big red beady eyes stared at her as she reached out her tiny hands.

Lan Du reached out one hand as well and the tiny spirit grabbed onto a finger as that was the most it could grab on to due to it's size.

"Blood empress, will you become my spirit and help me surpass my current self" Lan Du said gently

The baby blood empress nodded her head and flew into Lan Du's body, as if it was transparent, it went into her and Lan Du felt a sharp pain penetrate her body.

"Pwa" She felt suffocating as veins slowly popped out, her eyes becam blood shot and her jade green pupils were slowly becoming dilute.

She fell to the ground as she groaned in pain, sweat was rolling down onto the floor and her pale face was now almost completely white.

It was only after several hours did the pain finally end, the sun was rising and Lan Du's eyes were completely red, there was blood dripping down her eyes, making her seem extremely terrifying. She wobbled up and opened the showers.

She removed her clothes as it was drenched in sweat, she then took her time in the warm shower, trying to use it to forget the painful expereince.
