Chapter 28:

Chapter 10. The Monster (III)

The Spirit In Me

He was in complete shock.

It was the first time his secret was revealed in public.

"My father said he'd never seen anything like it! He didn't know an absorption stone that size even existed! But what can you do with a monster like that huh?! It's either you kill it or you restrain it!" he shouted exhilarated.

Lin looked at Loy who was beside her worriedly. He remained in his place without moving.

Dot walked in Loy's direction, happy and contented as his satisfied eyes observe every fragile response from Loy.

"They castrated him! In the past, you could hurt everyone! You enjoyed being able to terrorize all those around you huh?! But today, you can't whether you want it or not! They took that option away from you!" he laughed hysterically as he came face to face with him. Walking forward, he stopped his laugh to take a good look at his stunned face.

As they were head-to-head, Dot whispered in his ear with a wicked grin.

"I know you can't use Energia anymore.".

Dot extended his right hand to the side. In the flash of a moment, his hand became surrounded by red Energia, erupting and blasting wildly in every direction.

Loy remained motionless, his gaze still fixed on the floor.

"I will show you exactly who is the monster that everyone is afraid of!" Dot yelled at Lin with a look of madness in his eyes.

With one swipe of his hand, he tore Loy's shirt off him in Lin's direction.

Loy remained standing in the same position as a green, shimmering, enormous diamond stone appeared in the center of his chest.

The sudden wave of Dot Energia-engulfed hand made Lin stumbled back as she fell to the floor, right in front of Loy.

All the classmates were shocked as voices of wonder were heard from them looking at the unusual sight.

"What is it?!" asked a girl from the crowd in panic. "What does he have on his chest?! Is it real?!" A different panicking voice was heard.

"Do you understand now?! Huh?! You're lucky they put it on him! Without that stone he would have killed all of us long ago! Do you understand now what you're walking around with?!" Dot screamed at Lin furiously holding his head in his right hand. Frozen and stunned, she looked at the mesmerizing diamond stone.

Flashes of the diamond appeared before her eyes. From green, it changed to purple. From the afternoon daylight, the sky turned dark, with the moon at its peak. From Loy who stood frozen in front of her, appeared a black silhouette figure. Its eyes were burning a furious purple glow. A cruel glare and an evil grin.

The pupils of her eyes shrunk as in her mind she imagined blood splashing over her and in all directions around her. Just like Loy who froze in front of her, Lin also laid on the ground unresponsive.

Despite the immense fear in his heart, Loy raised his head slightly and looked at Lin who stayed motionless.

The moment he saw her gaze, his mind completely shut down by her horrified gaze.

In a split second, Loy saw himself lost in a black and endless space.

It swallowed him as his body begin to disappear into the darkness.

Trying to shake himself out of his stupor, Loy called out in a weak tone as he reached out to her with his hand. "Lin..." he whispered softly.

"Stay away from me!!!" A blood curdling scream was immediately shot, stopping Loy in his tracks.

In her wide-open eyes, the sky mixed between day and night.

The green diamond colors mixed with purple colors in a mystical dance that turned into blood. Blood that flew everywhere.

Everywhere around her. Blood.

Loy quickly lowered his hand.

Tears streamed down Lin's face as she gripped the ground with all her might. She mumbled something quietly with her lips.

"Monster... monster..." she repeated, chanting it like a mantra as she looked at a picture in her mind that no one else could see.

Soon, her silent lips became loud.

"Monster! Monster! Monster!" she screamed at Loy with all she got. She crawled back in panic as her tears fell to the ground.

Inside in mind, Loy felt his heart collapsing into itself at the sound of these words.

In his vision, his body slowly sink into the darkness that surrounded him.

"Monster!" Lin screamed as she cried, trying to pull herself away from him. Pushing herself back wildly with her legs but unable to stand up.

"Monster! Monster!" She shouted again as she got herself to her feet only to immediately fall back on her face.

In a frenzy, she stood up again and then ran out of the school gate barely managing to stay up.

All the other classmates around started to get scared. Although they were used to Loy's presence, Lin's reaction had woken in them a fear they hoped they had forgotten. At the same time, they felt sorry for Lin.
