The Big Reveal

Kendra got to the stage. She was nervous to be there after seeing Ray, Luther and Treyton all together. It gave her sort of bad vibes. However, she made sure she had everything inside of her and never showed it outside. She grabbed the remote from tapped on the screen. The big reveal finally happened. Cibil was so surprised to see the finished product. “Cibil, please come on to the stage,” Luther announced. She was extremely happy and came to the stage. “Surprise!” Luther whispered into Cibil’s ears while she went past Luther. “Hello Everyone! This is indeed a great surprise Dr. Luther,” she looked at Luther and then faced the audience.

“And awesome news for you all too. Introducing you to the Time Travel device that you have been waiting for years,” Cibil continued to announce. The crowd cheered and the people started shouting in happiness. “It is indeed not open for the public to purchase yet. But we will be providing service at our laboratory for important purposes. You may file your petition and give a reasonable explanation. After reviewing by the committee, we will be deciding on who will be eligible to travel,” Cibil explained the procedure to the audience. They were all notified of the instructions immediately. Some of them started drafting their petitions.

Kendra went near the device and started examining the features of the machine. “So what do you think?” Luther asked Kendra. “It looks wonderful,” Kendra smiled. “Why did you call me to reveal the machine to everyone else here?” Kendra asked. “Oh Kendra! You are the most special personality in this company,” Luther said in a way that Kendra got chills in a bad way. “Well! Thank you for the compliment,” Kendra responded with a poker face without revealing her fear.

Cibil noticed their conversation in silence. Once they wrapped up the event and everyone left, Kendra headed back to her lab. She continued with her work. Luther knocked on her office door. “Yes, come in!” Kendra responded. “Here is a copy of the prototype of the Time travel machine, in case you find it useful,” he gave and left her office. Kendra thought about it for a second and just put it inside her shelf to review it later after work. She got a call from Dylan. “I am at your office for an interview. Is it a good time to meet you now?” he asked. “Yes, sure! You may come to my lab,” she instructed on how to reach her lab.

Dylan noticed Luther’s lab on the way to Kendra’s lab. He saw him talking with someone but couldn’t quite see who it was. “Welcome!” Kendra greeted Dylan outside of her office and invited him in to discuss. “How did the interview go?” Kendra asked. “It went well,” Dylan said. “I am pretty sure I will get in,” he added. ”That is awesome to hear. I heard they are recruiting two members to join this lab,” Kendra said. “I was surprised that you were having an interview without the main team members of this project,” Kendra said. “When you mentioned the launch, I was surprised to have an interview today,” Dylan said. “However, the panel was very friendly and they were up to the point on their requirements,” he added. “I am glad you had a good interview experience today,” Kendra said.

The door knocked again. “I forgot to mention something,”Luther was saying while entering. “I did not know you had a visitor, I will come back later,” Luther was in a rush while saying it. “I am Dylan. I interviewed with Kendra’s reference. We were just finishing up,” Dylan said. “Hello Dylan! Glad to meet you,” Luther said. “Have we met before?” Luther added. “Yes, we met at the clothing store the other day,” Dylan said. “Yes, I recall now. You have a great taste young man,” Luther smiled. “Thank you , sir. I will take my leave,” Dylan said and left Kendra’s lab.

“You have a new intern joining tomorrow, Kendra,” Luther informed. “That’s great. He will be visiting today for a short tour. It would be great if you could take him to show around the lab and the office today, if you are available,” he said. “I can do that,” she said. “Meet Rene. This is Kendra,” Kendra couldn’t believe her eyes. “Hello,” she looked at him and did not have words. It was V. V is back. She knew she would meet him sooner or later in this universe. After meeting Dylan, her hopes were even higher. “I will leave you both. I have an important meeting to attend. Let me know if you have any questions Rene,” Luther left the lab. “Finally, how have you been V?” Kendra asked. “Have we met before?” Rene asked without a clue on what Kendra was asking. “You are V right?” Kendra asked. “I mean, my friends call me V but that is a nickname. I don’t recall us meeting before.” Rene responded.
