Yuan Min's conflicted emotions

"H-How could this have happened? Who did such a cruel thing! I-I, *blurgh*" Lan Du covered her mouth and seemed to be sick from the scene.

Someone in the crowd hurried over and covered her eyes

"Child, don't be afraid, uncle Di is here, don't worry" It was Colonel Di, he seemed quite protective of her as he comforted her.

Lan Du looked up at him with a pitiful gaze

"C-Colonel, w-who d-did such a cruel thing, I-I'm proficient in medicine, this-this is aphrodisiac!" Lan Du cried out in deep shock.

Her actions made the crowd feel pity, a young girl like her had to witness this. However, Yuan Min, Yuan Cai and Kuang Ren were deeply shocked, not by the scene, but by Lan Du's pitiful expression. Wasn't she very happy that this happened? Wasn't she the cause of all this? Why does she seem like the victim all of a sudden?

Inside, they recognised one person, and that was Kui Yuan.

The scene could be defined as disgusting, but just the word disgusting was a very clear understatement. Kui Yuan and a large group of others, they were all almost completely naked and a pungent smell drifted from the room.

But they had a pleasurable look on their face, as if they had just experienced the most wonderful they have every felt in life.

Lan Du's eyes turned as she stepped back.

"Colonel Di, c-could it be that Kui Yuan is crooked?" Someone from behind asked as he stared at the disgusting scene before them.

Colonel Di didn't speak, he turned his head to Colonel Kui who was shaking in anger.

"Old Kui, do you have a proper explanation for this? We attended this banquet so we will be able to know one another better, but not for your son to flaunt his-his...*sigh*, you take care of this, he is your son after all" He shook his head and sighed.

Colonel Kui gritted his teeth as he shut the door in front of him.

"I apologise for my son's disrespectful and corrupted behaviours, I will discipline him sternly" He gritted his teeth and said.

Lan Du's hand trembled as she stood at the side, at this moment, three people approached her to comfort her.

"Lass Yu, don't worry, you must have been scared, indeed, even if one has seen bloodshed, that scene was much more...disturbing" It was Colonel Shui who spoke up and patted her shoulders.

The two beside him nodded

"Yes, you may have experience in combat, but your mentality seems a bit weak, don't worry, with Uncle Tian here, you will be fine"

It was a strange sight, after all, the three Colonels were watching over her more closely than her own father! The crowd couldn't help but take a look at Yuan Min, and back at the three comforting Lan Du.

Yuan Min was once again at a loss for words

'When did Yu'er get familiar with those three? And they seem to care about her quite a bit'

Lan Du took in a deep breath, her pale face soon subdued, and her eyes became calm.

"Thank you, colon-"

"Ah, we have already called ourselves uncle, if you call us colonel now wouldn't we become fools?" Colonel Di waved his hand and said.

Lan Du was at a momentary loss, she smiled lightly before reply

"U-Uncles" She said awkwardly, she wasn't used to saying such things, especially to people she has just met today.

Yuan Min watched with a baffled face, why were they so close? Did they know each other before this day? He quickly shook his head and disregarded that thought, after all, until today, there were few colonels staying on Earth, much less Lan Du getting to know three.

"Good lad, as long as you fulfil your end, you can feel free to call us uncle whenever you want" Colonel Tian chuckled and patted her back.

Lan Du nodded her head

After seeing her nod, the three colonels felt content and went back to the main hall. Soon, everyone left and Lan Du's expression began changing as she giggled to herself.

Her smile was no longer hidden, it was so sadistic that if anyone saw this, they might have thought they're looking at the wrong person.

Yuan Min however stayed with his son and Kuang Ren, they watched her laugh, the more they watched, the more foreign she felt to them.

"F-Father,  she's my sister...right?" Yuan Cai couldn't help but ask

"Colonel Yuan...is she really a girl?" Kuang Ren asked as well

Yuan Min was at a loss, even he no longer knew the answer to these questions. Lan Du suddenly turned their heads to them, her smile was wide and sent out chills.

"Seen enough? If so, never bring this up, or you three might become my next playthings, hehehehe, no...you will become my toys" Lan Du giggled and walked closer.

For unknown reasons, the three instinctively took a step back when Lan Du approached them.

"Kuang Ren, I'd really like to know your father a little more, it never hurts to have a few more connection" Lan Du approached Kuang Ren and said.

Kuang Ren's pupils shrunk

"You're just like everyone else, only approaching me for my father" He growled

Lan Du shook her head

"No, not just for your father, but also you" She poked her finger at his chest and her finger slowly slid up all the way to his chin.

"You're arrogant, indifferent and cold, breaking you can become quite enjoyable" she said with a sadistic smile

"Oh? You seem to have quite the big tone" A stern voice rang from behind them, Lan Du turned her head and saw Major General Kuang standing behind her.

His face had a large scar across his nose and his eyes exerted a cold glare.

Lan Du was surprised, but not scared, she patted Kuang Ren's face gently and turned her body to face General Kuang.

"Greetings General Kuang, I'm Lan Yu, a sadist to the core and also the daughter of Colonel Yuan" Lan Du said with a light smile.

General Kuang's eyes flickered

"Pwahahaha, you're the first to introduce yourself as a sadist even before introducing your father, not a bad attitude, but too arrogant" His eyes shot cold the moment he finished

Lan Du rubbed her chin

"I wouldn't call it arrogance, rather, I think of it as my interest, I'm a very greedy person so I take personal interests into account, and sadism, is one of my top priorities" Lan Du giggled as her face flushed red from pure excitement.

Yuan Min was completely thrown off, who introduces them the way she does?

"Yu'er, don't speak so disrespectfully to General Kuang" He patted her head and said

Lan Du almost snapped at him but remembered what role she had to play, so she could only smile and nod her head.

"So, what was it about breaking my son?" His eyes squinted as he glared at Lan Du

Lan Du shifted her gaze to Kuang Ren and patted his chest

"He has a strong body, as someone who seeks satisfaction, the stronger the object that I break, the more excited I get, it can be his pride, his will, his body or his spirit, all these are like iron walls but that only excites me more" She said truthfully, not hiding her desires at all.

General Kuang's lips twitched, he was right there and she still says such disrespectful things. Kuang Ren was also quite angry, he wanted to refute but Lan Du flicked his nose and patted his face.

"Don't be so angry, I was complementing you" Lan Du chuckled

Her actions made Yuan Min sweat, that was General Kuang's son! And she even said and did such things in front of him! How could Yuan Min not be nervous when standing in front of him?

General Kuang raised one hand, and a strong pressure pressed down upon Lan Du

"General!" Yuan Min was shocked, he wanted to stop this and help Lan Du but Lan Du glared at him, signifying to stop in his tracks.

Lan Du withstood the pressure and a cold smile slipped onto his face

"General Kuang, if you're going to pressure me, at least make it bone breaking, grind my bones to dust and cause my organs to crush itself, because I won't feel it unless you actually put your heart into it" Lan Du stuck out her tongue and said in an arrogant manner.

"Yu'er! Shut your mouth, stop all this, General, I'm willing to apologise on my daughter's behalf, please don't harm her" Yuan Min said frantically, he has finally gotten to meet his daughter, now, not even a week has passed and he could only watch her get hurt.

How can he face Lan Xin if she gets hurt here?

But General Kuang's pressure became even more intense as he furrowed his brows

"Then let's see how long you can last" He said coldly

Blood began trickling down the side of Lan Du's lips, her smile however was still there.

'He's suppressing it to the pressure of a mid-domain realm, though it can harm me, it wouldn't kill me' Lan Du  wiped the blood from her lips and stood tall.

Yuan Min was about to go crazy, he wanted to attack General Kuang at this moment, however, before he did a thing, the pressure on Lan Du disappeared.

"You crazy lass, you knew, didn't you?" General Kuang said with a rare to see smile

Lan Du chuckled

"I wonder what you mean" She snickered

General Kuang shook his head before turning his head to Yuan Min.

"You've raised a fine daughter, enough to even make me jealous" He walked over to Lan Du and lifted a brow

'Peak of Royal spirit, this lass isn't simple, and I can feel another source in her body, karmic source? Not bad, she even drank the karmic dew' The more he looked at her, the more satisfied he felt.

"Lass, will you consider being engaged to my son?"

His words sent everyone into a deep shock, Lan Du was no exception. She took a step back and smiled wryly.

"I'm afraid that's impossible" She said

"Oh? Why is that? My son isn't bad, you should be quite satisfied with him" He asked with a questionable look on his face.

Lan Du glanced at Kuang Ren whose mouth was agape and shocked by his own father's words. She could tell that he did not expect this either, but she couldn't let her guard down.

"Your son is great, but I'm afraid that you'd be disappointed, and your son should know why" Lan Du glanced ta him and said.

General Kuang frowned and stared at his son

"Explain" He growled

Kuang Ren felt a small pressure weigh down on him before he replied

"She likes people of the same gender" He replied as he tried to suppress the shocking words his father just spoke in his heart.

His words however threw General Kuang off track

"The lass likes girls? How unpredictable" He muttered under his breath, he stared at Lan Du who was smiling away as if it didn't concern her at all.

Yuan Min felt his head spin, one shocking thing happened one after another, he didn't know what he should do any more. He always thought he could handle his daughter's strange attitude, but as time went by, he found it harder and harder to even keep track of her.

Lan Du giggled

"Then your flirtous actions with my son earlier are but a joke to you?" He stared at her and asked

Lan Du nodded

"Indeed, otherwise, with the amount of time I've done this, I can start an army with those who I'm engaged with" Lan Du giggled

Yuan Min's face changed, he grabbed Lan Du's wrist

"What did you say?" His voice was cold, as a father, he can't tolerate such actions from his daughter.

Lan Du giggled

"Dear father, I'm sure our deal does not involve our private matters" Lan Du replied with a light smile

"Deal?" Her wowrds piqued the interest of General Kuang and Kuang Ren, however, Yuan Cai was left confused by her words. What deal did she mean?

Yuan Min's face darkened

"You can act up at home, for now just stay put" He whispered but everyone still heard him

Lan Du gave him a light smile

"I wonder what you mean? I'm your daughter, when have I acted up before?" Lan Du stuck out her tongue and said with a cunning look.

Yuan Min understood her, she was doing this to make things difficult for him. If people misunderstood their conversation, it might sound like she was either mistreated or was never his daughter to begind with.

He sighed but was reluctant to drop the conversation from earlier

"I am still allowed to be worried about your daily matters, this concerns your image" He said as he calmed himself.

Lan Du's eyes grew cold

"What do you know about me? What use is my image if I cannot survive" She felt annoyed by his concern, she found it unnecessary.

This conversation began to drag out, the onlookers who didn't know anything began to suspect their relationship with one another.

"Father, what are you two talking about?" Yuan Cai had a worried expression as he asked, he hoped it wasn't anything major.

Realising this, Lan Du's coldness faded and she expressed a light smile

"Nothing, let's move on from this" She waved her hand and turned to General Kuang

"Aplogies, but I prefer girls, they're much more fun to tease" Lan Du licked her index finger and said with a giggle

This was the first time Kuang Ren was rejected by someone, so he felt indignant, he grabbed Lan Du's wrist with a cold look.

"No one has ever treated me like this before" He hissed

Seeing his angered expression, Lan Du smirked

"So what? What are you going to do? Hit me?" She shook off his hand and her other hand shot out to grab him by his hair.

She then pulled his head over closely

"Do this again and I'll kill you, got it?" Her smile was colder than ice and her eyes were frosty

General Kuang lifted his brows

"Do you think I don't exist?" He huffed

Lan Du shook her head

"Of course not, I'm just having a heart to heart talk with your son, that's all" She released her grip on him and clasped her hands together.

"Heh, you're indeed a crazy lass, but that spirit is undeniable, I await to see your contributions in the future" General Kuang said with a faint smile before heading back out to the hall.

Kuang Ren shot a cold glare at Lan Du before following his father

Lan Du snickered, but her eyes soon grew cold

"Yuan Min, never bring up our deal in front of others again, if you want the world to know what you did, go ahead, no one's stopping you, but you better not involve those around me" Lan Du shot out her arm and clenched Yuan Cai's throat.

"My dear brother, do you know why I was so happy to see you today?"

Yuan Min slapped Lan Du's hand away

"Don't hurt him again, he's your brother" He growled

"Oh? But I never thought of harming him, after all, the word harm only includes physical injuries, but what about mental? Spiritual?" Lan Du giggled

"My dear brother, you should pray you don't meet me again" Lan Du gave him a wink and left the hallway as well.

Yuan Cai's eyes looked terrible, so did his expression. He was so happy to meet his sister, but now, he was confused, lost and helpless. He didn't know what happened, but it didn't look good.

His father was angry and his sister was acting strange

He could only look up to his father with a trembling hand

"F-Father, w-what is going on?"

Yuan Min patted his head

"Your sister...has been through a lot, so she can be a little quirky at times" He replied

He slowly walked back with Yuan Cai beside him, he couldn't help but feel disheartened by Lan Du's actions. But he also understood why. He could tell she has suffered, from her attitude towards him, as well as her daily matters.

She wasn't even willing to tell him where she worked, what she worked as, nor her personal connections. He didn't know when Lan Du has gotten to know three other Colonels, but he felt dejected once he thought about it.

'Will she abandon me? Will she leave my side since she has stronger backings now?' Worrry seeped into his heart as he thought about his daughter's lifestyles.

He then turned his head and saw Lan Du talking to General Kuang, she had a sweet smile but General Kuang however seemed to be getting agitated.

"Do you have any idea what you're saying right now?" He stated with a cold look in his eyes

Lan Du nodded

"Naturally, as long as you accept this proposal, I can get you what you wanted" Lan Du wore a confident look, however Kuang Ren was so agitated he almost smacked her.

He glared at Lan Du, if his gaze could harm her, he'd have killed her from the stares alone.

"Enough! Father, we can't trust her, we cant!" He shouted

Lan Du snickered, she reached into her pockets and pulled out a small glass tube. Inside was a blue flowy liquid, blood.

"The blood of Mo An, a foreign alien race in which has blood so cold that even dry ice will get colder by being near it, can this negotiation continue now?" She wore a sly smile as she twirled the tube around.

Staring at the blood, General Kuang's fists tightened, his feelings are complicated as he stared at the tube.
