Chapter 50 Olivia

Everyone at the party had serious expressions on their faces as they walked, their eyes scanning the surrounding forest for any signs of danger. 

But Olivia was the exception, she still kept her flirty and playful appearance, occasionally turning her attention to Suzuka and checking her out. Despite Olivia's actions, Suzuka didn't seem to mind her attention. She was focused on the task at hand, keeping her senses alert for any potential threats. She knew that they were in a dangerous area and that they needed to be extra cautious.

Suzuka didn't want to see another party parish right in front of her eyes. 

As they walked, Suzuka felt a familiar feeling creeping over her. She looked around and noticed that the forest path they were on looked familiar. After getting a better look, she remembered that this was the forest path where Clive had left her to die, at the hands of razor rabbits. As she remembered the pain and suffering she had endured that day, she gritted her teeth and her facial expression changed to one of anger.

Olivia, who was walking beside Suzuka, noticed her mood change and kept a keen eye on her. She could tell that something was bothering Suzuka and wanted to know what it was. She thought to herself, "Hmmm... what could have upset you? Beautiful..."

As they walked, Olivia wonder what had happened to Suzuka on this path. She now knew that Suzuka was skilled and capable, but she could see that this forest path held bad memories for her.

After a few minutes of walking in silence, Olivia decided to speak up and she whispered as she leaned toward Suzuka, "Is everything okay, Suzuka? You seem upset," she asked with a flirty but concerned voice.

Suzuka took a deep breath before whispering back, "I'm fine, Olivia. It's just that this forest path brings back bad memories for me. I was once left here to die by an adventurer and I suffered a lot." She leaned towards Olivia and whispered, "Razor rabbits." 

Olivia listened carefully and with a gentle and caring voice, she said, "I'm sorry you had to go through that. But you're not alone anymore, I'm here for you and I'll make sure that history doesn't repeat itself."

Suzuka smiled at Olivia and nodded, she felt a wave of gratitude wash over her, she appreciated Olivia's words and the fact that she cared.

Olivia continued with a question, "But still, who could leave such a gorgeous woman to these monsters and run away?"

Suzuka whispered with a slightly angry tone, "Clive, he said his name was Clive. He pretended to be nice at first. But at the first sign of trouble, he hurt me, robbed me, and left me to die as a distraction for him to get away." 

As they walked, John, who was walking behind Suzuka, suddenly signaled to Thomas and said, "Thomas, I think we're clear of razor rabbit territory. I don't see any trails, paw prints, or any other signs of them being close to us."

Thomas listened to John's report and nodded. "Good work, John," he said. He then turned to the rest of the party and said, "Everyone listens! We will reach town tomorrow, the sun has reached the treeline, and it's setting down soon. No need to rush, we'll make a camp for the night. Early in the morning, we move out."

The party all nodded in agreement, they had been on high alert for hours and were ready to rest and set up camp for the night.

Thomas began to direct the group, "John and Michael, you two gather firewood. Don't bring damp wood like last time. Shara and Olivia, you two set up the tents just don't screw around too much. Suzuka, you help me with the fire pit. We will need fire going to scare off some annoying animals and small monsters. Funny story; dark imps once stole my sword, and since then, I make sure the fire stays lit all night."

Everyone quickly set to their tasks, and within a few minutes, they had a fire going and the tents set up. As the group sat around the campfire, Thomas and his party were discussing their plans for when they returned to the town. They had several quests hanging, and they were discussing which one they should tackle next.

One of the quests they were discussing was an escort mission for a trade caravan. The caravan was traveling from Rockmine town to a nearby town Blackmarsh and they needed a group of skilled adventurers to ensure their safety on the journey. They were discussing the details of the quest, such as the route they would take, the number of guards they would need, and the potential dangers they might encounter along the way.

Another quest they were discussing was a monster hunt. There was an unknown creature terrorizing the nearby ruins, and the party was considering taking the job to eliminate it. This quest would require them to track down the creature, identify its weaknesses, and come up with a plan to defeat it.

They were also discussing a treasure-hunting quest that had recently come up, which would require them to explore a tomb dungeon and recover anything valuable.

The group was also discussing their plans for after the completion of these quests. They were considering taking a break to visit the nearby town Dreadfort, it is a dwarf town and famous for superior craftsmanship and equipment.

As the group settled down for the night, Suzuka found herself feeling a bit uneasy around the new people she had just met. She sat a bit further away from the rest of the group, not quite feeling comfortable or at ease with them yet.

Olivia, noticing Suzuka's discomfort, saw this as an opportunity to get to know her better. She slowly made her way over to where Suzuka was sitting. Olivia tried to sneak up behind Suzuka, using her best stealthy approach, and tried to gently hug her from behind to make her feel more at ease. But Suzuka noticed her right away, confirming Olivia's suspicions that Suzuka was special.

"Hey there, Olivia," Suzuka said with a smile, then asked, "What are you doing? Trying to hug me again? You like to sneak up on people, or is it just me who's special?"

Olivia didn't hesitate to answer, "Well, I saw a beautiful woman, by herself, and decided to share my warmth with her. It was a good opportunity to hug you and I went for it, it's a shame I failed."

Suzuka looked at Olivia and said, "If you want to sit next to me, it's fine with me, I dont mind your company."

Upon hearing that Olivia smiled flirtatiously and said, "Okay, don't mind if I do then."

 Suzuka and Olivia were sitting by the campfire, talking and getting to know each other better. Olivia had a seductive and flirty demeanor, while Suzuka was more serious and friendly.

"So, Suzu, what can you tell me about yourself, or better yet, tell me what you desire," Olivia said, leaning in close and giving Suzuka a flirtatious smile.

Suzuka hesitated for a moment before responding, "Well, I want to be an adventurer, go on a quest and make some gold for now. I still need to get back to town, my parents most definitely think I am dead, well, there are lots of stuff I need to do."

"That sounds exciting, but by desire, I meant something else," Olivia said with a grin. "I'm sure you'll do great as an adventurer. But what about your personal life? Are you seeing anyone?" Olivia asked as she gently and slowly brushed her finger down Suzuka's shoulder.

Suzuka shook her head, "No, I haven't really had time for that. I've been too focused on my... eh... studies, the school I mean."

Olivia notice right away that Suzuka just lied to her, but pretended to believe her.  

"Well, good to know," Olivia said, her voice dripping with flirtation. "I think you're a very attractive and interesting woman, and I'd like to get to know you better." Before Suzuka could answer, Olivia leaned forward toward Suzuka's ear and softly whispered, "Physically, I mean"

Suzuka blushed, not used to such forward advances. "Thank you, Olivia, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea," she said softly.

Olivia nodded understandingly, "I understand. I just want you to know that I'm here for you, and if you ever need someone to talk to or support you, in any way, mmmm... I'm here."

We can talk now I don't mind your company, just, I mean, you're really nice, but..." But before Suzuka could finish her sentence, Olivia pressed her finger against Suzuka's lips and stopped her from speaking.

"Oh, I know, don't say it, I was too aggressive. It won't happen again... until you want it." Olivia said as she was face-to-face an inch away, looking directly into Suzuka's yellow eyes.     

Olivia and Suzuka were sitting by the campfire, talking and getting to know each other better. Olivia continued to flirt with Suzuka, but Suzuka didn't mind her bold approach.

"So, Suzu, may I ask how old are you?" Olivia asked with a playful grin.

Suzuka smiled, "I turned 16 years old a few weeks ago."

"Only 16? Well then, happy birthday, you're still so young... and full of potential, mmmm..." Olivia said with a wink. 

Suzuka blushed, "Thank you, Olivia."

Olivia followed with the question, "By any chance, are you half human half dwarf, like me? I mean, you look like a stunning woman but you are only 16."

Suzuka's gaze turn to the side and she answered, "Um, yeah... hahaha... how, how did you know?"

Olivia noticed Suzuka's lie right away but played along. "Well, we look adult outside but we are young inside, we half-dwarfs live long, longer than humans. And you, fit the appearance, strong build, stunning adult looks but young, you even remind me of myself a bit."

Suzuka tried to change the subject and asked, "I've been wondering, how old are you?"

Olivia grinned and leaned in closer to Suzuka. "I'm flattered that you're curious, my dear," she said with a playful twinkle in her eye. "But I'll never tell you my age. It's a secret... haha, just teasing you, I am 23 years old."

"So, where are you from?" Olivia asked, still leaning in close.

"I'm from a small village on the outskirts of Woodmill town," Suzuka replied.

"Woodmill? I've heard It's a decent town, but it's also quite dangerous, isn't it?" Olivia asked.

Suzuka nodded, "Yes, it can be. But I grew up there, and I know how to take care of myself."

"I can tell," Olivia said, her eyes scanning Suzuka's body appreciatively. "What about your parents? Are they still living in Woodmill?"

Suzuka's expression grew sad, "Yes, but I miss them, I haven't seen them in a long time."

Olivia placed a comforting hand on Suzuka's shoulder, "I'm sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how hard it is for you. Let me give you a comforting hug."

Suzuka nodded and gave her a small smile, "It was tough, but I've learned to be strong."

As Suzuka spoke, her voice quivered with emotion and her eyes filled with tears. Olivia could see that Suzuka was struggling with something and wanted to comfort her. Olivia sat beside her and wrapped her in a warm and comforting hug.

"It's okay, Suzuka," Olivia said softly, rubbing her back soothingly. "Whatever it is that's troubling you, you don't have to go through it alone. I'm here for you."

Suzuka leaned into Olivia's embrace, feeling the warmth and comfort that she was offering. For the first time, in this past year, she felt safe and protected in Olivia's arms and the tears that she had been holding back began to fall.

Olivia held her tightly, cowering Suzuka's tears from the rest of the party. She whispered soothing words and let her cry them out. She knew that sometimes the best thing you could do for someone was to just be there for them and offer a listening ear or a comforting hug.

After a few minutes, Suzuka's tears had subsided and she pulled back, wiping her eyes. "Thank you, Olivia," she said with a small smile. "I needed that, I'm good now."

Olivia smiled back at her, "When we reach the town, we probably go our separate ways but Just for tonight, you can have me all for yourself, Suzuka. I'm here for you, whatever you want."

Suzuka felt a sense of gratitude and warmth towards Olivia for her understanding and willingness to be there for her, she knew that having a friend like Olivia would help her through her journey.
