Chapter 2:

The Academy of Fraize

Ice-Cold Vampire Princess

Chapter Three: The Academy of Fraize

-

"Vasati... let go of me," I whined as Vasati dragged me all the way to the entrance.

"Hey. We made it just in time." Vasati let go of my arm and ran through the entrance.

"Seriously. What am I going to do about that girl." I sighed.

-

"Listen up today students! We have two new students!" An older Grey-haired man announced.

"The Princess of the Demonshire Empire, Vasati le Demonshire." He announced as Vasati walked in.

"Wow! We're in a class with her!" A girl fawned.

"She's already mastered advanced darkness magic at age 9!" Another girl awed.

"She's so cute!" A boy said excitedly over his shoulder.

"So, she is in this class after all." A blonde-haired Dragonoid girl commented.

"Isn't she a bit too young to be in this class though?" Another boy commented.

"Class, please stop talking. I still have one more student to introduce." He said breaking the conversation.

"The Princess and Heiress of the Vampire Tribe, Eira de Bethencourt." He announced.

Walking into the classroom I saw multiple teenage boys who seemed to be in shock. The classroom was mainly boys and consisted of a few girls. One of them that I recognized immediately. It was the blonde-haired Dragonoid girl which I and Vasati helped earlier this morning. She kept her short hair very neat, and it only reached her shoulders. It also had a pink ribbon tucked away in the back. She had opposite-colored eyes the left one being pink and the right one being violet colored. She met eye contact with me and immediately looked away probably realizing that I was staring at her.

"Wow, she's so pretty!" A girl cooed.

"She looks like a doll!" Another girl cooed.

"Isn't she also too young for this class?" A boy asked.

Snapping my fingers, I transported the boy's chair to my dimension. I started practicing shadow magic a while ago and learned dimensional magic. It allows me to store things in a space in my shadow. The number of things I can store in there continues to grow as I expand my magic power. Meaning that if I continue to grow my magic power the space might be endless one day. Without his chair, he started falling to the ground on his butt, but I used some lower-level wind magic to float him right above the ground.

"Did she just use two different magical compounds simultaneously without chants!" The girls fawned in unison.

"She may be just as good as Princess Vasati!" They fawned.

I brought the chair back out of my dimension magic and let go of the wind magic and let him fall back into it. He shot me a scared look with shreds of anger.

"That's my girl!" Vasati shouted and patted my head.

"Can both of you take your seats already?" The teacher sighed.

I and Vasati sat next to each other in the back left corner of the class. I sat on the left side having a window seat and Vasati sat to the right of me. After about 5 minutes into the class, Vasati moved her deck and connected it with mine.

"Hey-Hey Eira, you want to go over to the request board after lunch?" She whispered over to me.

The request board is a board full of jobs that you can take to earn money. Most adventure guilds also have this. In big academy schools, they also have them to cater quests to the level of the students taking them.

"Huh. We're not old enough to take any requests Vasati." I whispered back.

"What do you mean Eira? We are already in the school so we can sneak one out by traversing through shadows" Vasati smirked.

"Is that something a princess should be doing?" I said giggling.

"You're part of the operation as well Princess Eira," Vasati said mockingly.

"Ok Vasati let's do it then, but if we get caught, I'm blaming you," I said rolling my eyes.

"Alright! It's Decided then!" Vasati exclaimed.

The whole class immediately turned and started staring at us after noticing Vasati's outburst.

"Can the two of you please be quiet?" The teacher asked.

"Sorry," Vasati said grinning with a definite nongenuine apology.

Me, however, I was not apologizing when it had nothing to do with me. She is the one who decided to start shouting for the whole class to hear. So, I just sat in my seat with my arms crossed. While I'm guessing they were also expecting an apology from me I was not going to give them one. Eventually, the teacher gave up and returned to teaching the lesson, so I slept for the rest of the class looking towards the window.

-

Finally, Lunch came which meant we were free for the rest of the day. After the first two classes of the day S-Class, A-Class, and B-Class students have free periods for the rest of the day. I and Vasati are currently B-Class students and I'm very sure that we could probably compete with the S-Class students. The Grandmaster did not even want to put me in B-Class at all because of my age, however, I'm guessing since Vasati also declared for the Academy a year early, they let it slide.

First, I wanted to check out my dorm before I met Vasati at the request board. My parents had my luggage shipped off a day before I set off toward the Academy. They were very hesitant at first to let me go to a boarding school at my age, but they eventually let me go after I'm guessing they were influenced by the Demonshire family.

My dorm was on the 5th floor the highest in the school. After reaching the 5th floor I found my room very quickly, room 108. I confirmed it was mine looking for the matching room number with the key number. I'm guessing that the other person hasn't checked into the dorm yet because I haven't seen anyone else. Going into the room it was vast and had many different rooms with white interior walls. We even had our own Kitchen with marble countertops and a sink. There was a gas stove that seemed to be lit with Magic Crystals.

Magic Crystals are metals that are created in extremely mana-rich areas and become infused with magical power. This gives the stones magical power and they are used for everyday tasks such as electricity, and cooking and can even be used to forge Magic swords. All of them have their special attributes. Electric mana stones are used for lighting the buildings and flame stones are used for heating ovens and stoves.

There was only one bedroom with twin beds separated by a nightstand. How odd that they couldn't even provide separate rooms. There was a bathroom inside of the bedroom with a bathtub and shower with a nice-looking silver sink. Right outside of the bedroom, there was a living room area with two separate chairs and a comfy leather sofa.

Looking at the setting sun I realized I was supposed to meet Vasati at the request board, so I left my dorm, and headed toward the second building. You have to be at least 12 years old to use the request board and those were only for the lower tier requests. As I made my way toward the entrance to the room where the board is kept, and I spotted Vasati peeking into the room getting ready to act so I Teleported behind her and blew into her ear.

"Hey, Vasati" I snickered.

"U little..." Vasati clenched her fist and started pinching my cheeks.

After I got her to stop, we finally began our mission to steal a request from the board.

There was only another person there. The receptionist, so we decided that Vasati would use her shadow sneak to come through my shadow while Vasati nabbed a quest from the board. We picked a time when there would be little traffic because while the request board is located inside the academy, Adventures from all over the Demonshire Empire come here to take quests.

We started the plan, and I went out to talk to the receptionist. Walking towards the request board would look a little odd so went up to the receptionist to ask for a quest.

"Hey Ma'am, can I have a quest?" I asked with the cutest voice and smile I could muster the dignity to give.

She looked at me with a confused smile almost like she didn't know if I was a confused child or not, but she answered me truthfully.

"Sorry sweetie we can't offer requests to Students under the age of 12." She answered me with a smile.

"Well alright," I acted by putting on a pouting face and turned around to walk away.

Right after I walked out of the room I turned and walked down the Hall and went to the back of the school. Vasati then slipped out of my shadow with a scroll in her hand.

"Good work Eira!" Vasati exclaimed.

"You too." I smiled.

"Now! Let's go check this quest out!" Vasati shouted.

"Hold on now Vasati, first let's take the quest to my dorm to look at it," I suggested.

"Ok." Vasati agreed.

"My roommate hasn't even checked in so it should be fine" I reassured.

"Speaking of which I haven't either." Vasati declared.

"Ah, so it seems other people forgot as well," I said thinking.

"I wish Vasati was my roommate. It would be nice to be with someone who I already know." I thought.

"Eira~ Come on!" She called out to me as she already started walking back towards the dorm building.

-

"Coming!" I responded and followed her in.

She stopped at the front desk and got in line behind a bunch of the other students.

"Eira I'm going to check into my dorm before I go over to yours so u can just wait for me over there." She said.

"Alright," I then walked past her and went up the five flights of stairs until I reached my floor. Walking back to my dorm I unlocked the door and walked in. It looks like my roommate's luggage came in as well. I didn't want to peek until I saw a notebook in one of the boxes that interested me.

The cover read "My Studies On The Vampire Princess Eira."

"What the hell," I said out loud.

Opening the book, I found multiple pages describing me and the powers that I have obtained. Including my level of proficiency with Ice Magic which had now reached the heavenly realm. Whoever owned this notebook was definitely suspicious. That was right as I heard the door click. As it opened, I saw a familiar Black-haired individual.

"Heya~ Eira, I'm your roommate! Well, are you surprised!" She smirked with her key in her hand as well as the scroll tucked in her back pocket.

I looked back at the notebook.

"Sadly, not at all," I said sighing.

"Well at least it doesn't belong to some weirdo I don't know who is stalking me," I thought.

"Wait Eira! How did you get a hold of that notebook?!" She yelled and pointed to the notebook I held in my right hand.

"Ah, this. I found it in some weird stalker's luggage." I said smugly.

"Listen Eira... I can explain." Vasati said frantically.

"Explain.In.Hell." I said darkly while coating Ice mana into my palm.

"nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"
