Chapter 8:

Jason Pratt

Playing With Fire

On Monday, Cara was working peacefully in her office. She was kind of stressed out, too because of what had happened at her Dad's house too and the fact that her Mom had died because of her was too tough for her. She didn't knew what it would be like for her to start her own company.

It was lunchtime now but she wasn't going to go at all because she didn't feel like it.

Someone came in without knocking the door.

"Hi," he said.

Cara was about to fall from her chair because of that hi.

"Gosh, Yuri. You scared me!," she said.

"I'm sorry but why aren't you talking to me? What happened that day? Tell me, Cara," he said.

"I'm sorry for not talking to you. The thing is our Dad abandoned us and we're living on our own now. Even our jobs are gone after this collaboration!," she said.

"What?!," he said.

"Yeah. We gotta work somewhere else after this," she said.

"We is you and your brother, right?," he asked.

"Yeah. Me and him," she said.

"Ok, leave this and come have lunch with me," he said.

With that, they left.

On Friday, Cara came home to her apartment to find some cars outside. She went inside and found someone sitting there. It was Jason Pratt!

"You! What are you doing here?!," she yelled.

"Ah, you're finally here, Cara. I've been waiting for an hour," he said.

"Get out! Right now!," she yelled.

"Oh, baby. Why are you kicking your hubby out? Don't you know how to talk to your husband?," he said, smirking.

"You are not my husband and you'll never be, you fucking bastard!," she said.

"Let me tell you how I am your fucking husband. I know we're both not even married or engaged or anything but Cara, your Dad engaged you to me in my childhood!," he said, smirking.

"What? That's bullshit!," she said.

"I know it's bullshit, but it's true. You wanna see the papers. Here you go!," he said.

He threw some papers at her face. She picked them up. They was a marriage certificate of Jason and Cara.

"What the fuck is this?," she asked.

"Whatever the fuck it is, it's real. You're mine, Cara Kole. Only mine," he said, smirking.

"You stay away from me, Jason. I don't want you in my life. I didn't ask for this at all!," she said.

Cara started to push him out but instead his men came and held her back. One of them put a chloroform filled napkin on her nose and off she went to dreamland.
