Chapter 66 The Mystic Oasis

As Suzuka stepped into The Mystic Oasis Inn, she was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The main entrance led her to a cozy cafe, beautifully designed with pretty tables and chairs. She noticed four friendly waitresses, all dressed in elegant attire, bustling around the room, ensuring that each guest was well taken care of. 

The bar caught her eye, its gleaming surface reflecting the soft light that filled the room. Behind the bar, she could see the kitchen where the tempting aroma of food and drinks drifted from.

To the side of the cafe, she spotted a counter where an attendant was stationed, ready to assist with any room rental needs. Beyond the counter, a set of stairs led upwards, beckoning guests to their cozy rooms upstairs.

 The entire inn was designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, making it the perfect place for Suzuka to unwind and escape from the hustle. The warm and welcoming atmosphere of The Mystic Oasis Inn was a true oasis for her.

As Suzuka took a closer look around the inn, she noticed that only a few guests were present. Among them were a couple of adventurers, who were deep in conversation, their faces alight with excitement as they recounted their plans for their next adventure. 

On the other side of the room, she saw an old man, sitting alone and nursing a mug of beer. The frothy liquid spilled over the rim of the mug as he lifted it to his lips, a contented smile playing on his weathered face.

The inn was quiet and peaceful, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to relax and unwind. Suzuka felt at ease as she took in her surroundings, the quiet murmur of conversation and the occasional clinking of glasses providing a soothing background to her thoughts.

 As Suzuka made her way toward the bar, she was greeted with a warm smile from one of the waitresses. The waitress welcomed her with a friendly nod and gestured towards a seat at the bar, inviting her to make herself comfortable. "Hello there traveler, please, have a seat and choose what you like from our menu."

 Suzuka smiled back, feeling a sense of ease and relaxation wash over her as she took in the warm and inviting atmosphere of the inn.

She walked over to the bar and took a seat, feeling the plush cushion beneath her as she settled in. The bartender greeted her with a friendly smile, "Welcome to the Mystic Oasis, I will be taking your order, feel free to address me when you find anything that fancies you, or may I suggest for you?"

 Suzuka felt at home in the cozy cafe, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of the beautiful interior design and the friendly and attentive staff. "Ah, thank you but I would like to see what's on the menu first."

As the bartender warmly smiled and stepped away, Suzuka took a moment to savor the peaceful atmosphere of the cafe. She perused the menu, taking her time to carefully consider each offer. After a few minutes of careful consideration, she finally made her decision. With a gentle tap of her fingers on the tabletop, she caught the bartender's attention.

"I'm ready to order, please," she said, her voice filled with anticipation. The bartender approached with a friendly grin, eager to take her order. 

"And what would it be miss," Bartender asked with a smile on his face.

  Suzuka couldn't help but feel welcomed and at ease in the cozy cafe, surrounded by the warm and inviting atmosphere. "I would like to have one large serving of long noodles in tomato sauce with meat and a large glass of Melwyn Gold apple juice, please."

"Okay, this will take ten minutes, anything else I could be of service to?" He asked.

Suzuka leaned forward and with a warm smile, in a soft, gentle voice, she asked, "I was hoping to ask about renting a room here. Not just for a night, but for a bit longer. Perhaps a month, or even more, if that's possible. Can you tell me what the cost would be for such an arrangement?" 

"The usual price for one full day is 60 copper coins. As for a long period of time stay, I'm afraid you will have to ask at the reception desk for the details." The bartender pointed toward the reception desk near the stairs to the second floor. 

"Oh, okay, that would be all, thank you for the information." Suzuka finished the conversation.

Time passed and it was almost time for food to come by when suddenly three adventurers burst through the door acting like they own the place. Talking loud and assertive dominance. "Woh, woh, woh! Make way people! We are here to celebrate, woo hoo! Big pay baby!"

As they walked towards the bar one of them shouted at the bartender, "Hey, hey! Bring us some fine meat and lots of your best beer! And don't make us wait! Woo celebration alright!"

The adventurers noticed a beautiful woman sitting at the bar, they approached and started to talk in a forceful manner, "Hey hey, guys. Lucky day for us, we got money now we have a girl to have fun with. Hey! Beautiful! How much for some fun with that fine body of yours? We will pay triple if you know what I mean? Hehe!"

Suzuka answered, "Beat it, clowns, I'm not for sale."

The guys got really offended, "What did you say to us, bitch! Did this hooker call us clowns? I haven't seen your pretty face around here, you're probably a new prostitute around the block. It would seem you don't know who you talking with." But the man took a better look at Suzuka as he spoke and noticed her strong and muscular physique, her bruised armor, then continued, "Let me... tell you... shit, you're not a prostitute, aren't you?"

Suzuka said, "Nop."

"Wow! My apologies fellow adventurer, for our mistake, we meant no offense to you, we will go now." Adventurers said as they walked away to their table. 

"Oh, I have been called worse, no offense taken, just don't make it a habit," Suzuka responded. 

On that note, Her food was ready and on the table, Suzuka's delicious cuisine was finally ready to be eaten. The aroma of her hearty tomato sauce, simmered with juicy cuts of meat, floated through the air and teased the senses. 

The noodles, long and al dente, were piled high on the table, steaming hot and ready to be devoured. Besides the tantalizing plate of noodles was a large glass of icy cold Melwyn Gold apple juice, the golden liquid glinting invitingly in the light. The sight and smell of this feast were enough to make anyone's mouth water in anticipation.

Suzuka savored each bite of her meal, relishing in the burst of flavor that exploded on her tongue. The food was so delicious that Suzuka couldn't help but close her eyes and let out a contented sigh with each bite.

 It was a stark contrast to the bland and tasteless provisions she was forced to endure during her time in Bill's cave. As she indulged in the delectable dishes, she couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment. It was truly the first decent meal she had experienced in a long time, and it tasted all the better because of it.

 Suzuka, having finished the meal paid 10 copper coins, and made her way toward the reception desk. She approached the attendant, who greeted her with a warm smile. "Hello, what can I be of assistance?"

 Suzuka explained her intention to rent a room and also mentioned she is a magic box power user to get a discount, "Hello, yes, I would like to rent a room, for a month or longer, if possible. I am an adventurer, I registered a few hours ago and was told that you give discounts on lodging to magic box power users." 

The attendant, being well-trained, promptly assisted her in the process. "We don't usually rent rooms for that long but if you pay upfront we can make exceptions. One month would cost you 2 silver coins just for the room. If we include 3 meals a day, that adds 800 copper coins per month. Also adding access to the bath would add another 900 copper coins per month making a total of 3 silver coins and 700 copper coins. This is the price after including the discount for adventurer and MBPU"           (MBPU is short for "Magic box power users")

 Suzuka agreed to the price, "That is great, it is an acceptable price to me. I would like to rent the room for a month, please." The attendant handed her a key and provided her with the necessary information about the room, and baths, such as their location and amenities. Suzuka thanked the attendant, took the key, and made her way to the room, eager to relax after a long day but first, she was dying to take a warm bath.

Suzuka unlocked the door to her room and pushed it open, stepping inside. The room was reminiscent of a medieval fantasy setting, with stone walls and arched doorways. The bed was made of mahogany wood and adorned with plush velvet bedding.

 An enormous painting dominated one wall. The furniture was handcrafted, with intricate designs carved into the wooden surfaces. The air was filled with the scent of lavender and other herbs, giving the room a calming and relaxing atmosphere.

 Suzuka noticed that a small table had been set near the window, complete with a pitcher of water and a goblet, as well as a basket of fresh fruit. She couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and luxury as she took in her surroundings, settling in for a peaceful night's rest.

Suzuka, having finished exploring her rented room, placed her trusty sword and backpack next to the bed. She then decided to take a bath to refresh herself after her travels. Being cautious, she carefully hid her money inside one of the pillows, ensuring that it would be safe while she was away. She walked to the door, making sure to lock it behind her, before making her way to the bath. She felt relieved knowing that her belongings and valuables were secure as she went to enjoy so much-needed rest and relaxation.

As Suzuka descended to the first floor, she could see the entrance to the bath place just a few steps away. She walked towards the doors, taking in the surroundings as she went. Upon reaching the entrance, she pushed open the doors and stepped inside.

 The first thing she noticed was that it was an outdoor-style bath, designed like a hot spring. The warm air greeted her, carrying the scent of minerals and steam. She looked around but no one was present at this time of day. 

It was a mixed bath, she undressed and wrapped herself with a towel that was left for the guests. Then she proceeded to the door, opened them, and finally saw the outdoor bath hot spring. 

Steam rises from the warm, clear water, filling the air with a pleasant aroma. The bath is made of smooth stones and is large enough to accommodate several people at once. The water is a soothing temperature, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. She was the only one using it at the moment.

 Bamboo baskets filled with soft towels and amenities such as soap and shampoo are available for guests to use. 

Tall wooden walls provide shade and privacy, and the sound of trickling water from nearby streams adds to the peaceful ambiance. In the distance, one can see majestic mountains, adding to the serene beauty of the area.
