Chapter 2:

Chapter 02 Beautiful

Kobito no Otoko - Dwarf Man

The soda can got stuck in the machine, and she couldn't retrieve it. Koji was sound asleep in his king-sized bed inside his vending machine when the woman inserted a coin and pressed the button to buy a soda.

The loud rattling of the vending machine did not awaken him - he was so accustomed to the sounds of the machine that they no longer disturbed his sleep. However, as the can roll down, it became stuck, much to the woman's frustration.

The woman seemed to be having an exceptionally difficult day, her face etched with worry and sadness. As she looked at the stuck can in the vending machine, a single tear slid down her cheek, and she uttered in a quavering voice, "That was the last of my money. I couldn't even get a soda can. How unlucky am I?" Her words hung in the air like a heavy cloud, emphasizing the depth of her despair.

The woman's shoulders sagged, and she looked utterly defeated. She placed both hands against the cold glass and leaned in, pressing her forehead against it. It was a dark, lonely night, and the neon light of the vending machine cast a mysterious glow over her face, emphasizing the depth of her sadness. As she stood there, lost in her thoughts, the weight of her troubles seemed almost too much to bear.

Koji's keen ears picked up the sound of a woman's voice, and he peered cautiously from behind a packet of potato chips, trying to conceal his presence. Then he caught a glimpse of the woman's face, illuminated by the neon glow of the vending machine.

The woman had strikingly beautiful features that immediately caught the eye. Her hair was a deep shade of black that seemed darker than the night itself, and it flowed in silky strands down her back. Her eyes were a piercing shade of yellow that glinted in the light, hinting at a hidden fire within. Her lips were soft and full, with just a hint of a natural pout that seemed to draw the eye to them.

As soon as he caught sight of her face, illuminated by the soft neon light of the vending machine, his heart skipped a beat. At that moment, he felt an inexplicable connection to her, and a wave of emotion washed over him. He couldn't help but feel drawn to her, and he knew that he had to find a way to talk to her, to get to know her better.
