Chapter 15 Shadowboxing

As the soft light of the morning sun slowly illuminated the sky, Koji couldn't help but think of Ayumi. His mind drifted to the way her eyes sparkled in the light, he imagined the gentle touch of her hand and the sweet sound of her laughter. He longed to feel the warmth of her embrace, to be near her, and to lose himself in her loving embrace.

Lost in thought, Koji watched as the clouds slowly drifted across the sky, like ships sailing across an endless sea. He knew that he wanted nothing more than to spend his days and nights with Ayumi when he was startled by the sudden appearance of Boss Cat.

 He jumped, startled, and stumbled a bit, almost falling over. Meanwhile, Boss Cat was now standing on his back legs, throwing a flurry of punches in the air, like he was the boxing heavyweight champion of the world.

Koji, still a bit disoriented, rubbed his eyes and looked again. He couldn't believe what he was seeing - his nemesis, a tough-looking cat, was now shadowboxing in front of his vending machine! He shook his head and rubbed his eyes again, but the sight remained the same.

In a moment of panic, Koji thought he was hallucinating. He pinched himself to check, but it wasn't a dream. Boss Cat was still there, throwing his punches, his paws moving like lightning.

The Boss Cat looked directly at Koji as he was shadowboxing and talked, "Ffu, fffu, one-two, ffu, ffu, left, right, hook, ffu, ffu, uppercut, hook, hook! Come out Koji, meow! Bring me the catnip or I will beat you up! Ffu, ffu, Jab, jab, cross! Ffu, ffu, one-two, step, left hook! Meow!"

Koji regained his composure and cleared his throat, "Uh, hey Boss Cat, what are you doing here?" he asked.

Boss Cat stopped his shadowboxing and replied with a smirk, "What do you think I'm doing? I am threatening you! Meow. Bring me the catnip!"

Koji couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of this tough cat doing something so comical. "Yeah, I hear you. Well, as long as you're not breaking in, you can't lay a finger on me. Go box with some cats, leave this place, you vile creature!"

Boss Cat went back to his shadow boxing routine, throwing jabs and hooks like he was fighting a heavyweight opponent. Koji couldn't help but smile at the absurdity of it all. He was glad that Boss Cat couldn't get in but he secretly enjoyed the show.

Out of nowhere, a gentle hand wrapped around Cat Boss, lifting him up and extending his full length. The tough exterior of the scarred and dark-colored feline melted away as he felt the warm touch. The hands began to pet and rub him, and Boss Cat couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and relaxation wash over him. He closed his eyes and let out a soft purr, feeling the blush rise to his face as he indulged in the gentle touch.
