"Is this really okay."

As I arrived at school two girls stood by the school gate, both of them juniors, the same as me.

A girl with short bright blonde hair in a bob cut on the right, her shirt wasn’t tucked and she didn’t bother buttoning it up all the way.

The other girl on the left looked kind of ditsy, she had long dark black hair; it was so long that it nearly dragged against the floor, her bangs were long enough to cover part of her face, and yet she had this presence about her that made her seem like a princess.

“Heeyy wait!!” The Bob cut girl yelled.

“U-Um yes what is it?”

“Excuse me do you like Manchester?” The long Black haired girl asked intently as she stepped between us.

That’s a weird question to ask.

“U-Um sure I guess I don’t dislike them”

“Great. It seems we`re not enemies.” She said with a smile.

If I`d said no we would’ve been enemies?

The blonde girl spoke next.

“Frey Azurael right?... You may not know who we are but, we kinda have a favor to ask you.”

While her long black haired friend stared out into the distance looking spaced out.

“Actually I know who the both of you are,” I clarified, “your name is Elea and your friend’s name is Marine—I think.

I continued to explain what I know. “You’re the second highest ranked mage at our school and…Fourth in the district right. You and I also take a few classes together I don’t know much about Marine just that we take a few classes together like English among others."

Bob cut gir—I mean Elea looked visibly smug.

“Looks like my reputation precedes Me!” she laughed triumphantly “Ha! Ha! Ha! Sometimes I forget just how popular I am!”

I sighed

“I`m the first ranked mage you know, so I`m higher up."

“You don’t have to act so smug about it!” She said.

“You were the one who was acting smug just a moment ago!! Anyway what favor did you want from me?”

“Oh the favor what was it again?” 

She forgot?!

“How the heck should I know?!”

“Just kidding I remember.” She said, as she patted my head to appease my anger.

“Don’t pat me on the head!”

The Long black hai—I mean Marine joined in. “Elea you can pat me on the head.”

“Sure.” She raised her hand to pat Marine`s head.

“Don’t pat her head either we aren’t animals!”

“I`m technically a type of animal though.” Marine shared.

“Really...?” Elea and I both said in surprise.

“Let’s get back on track what do you guys want?

“Frey join our Cluubb!!!” 

“No.” I flatly denied.

“Wa-wa-wait.” She fumbled.

 “Um…you have to join our club it’s a matter of life and death, isn’t that right Marine!”

Marine who appeared lost in her own world replied almost immediately.

“Huh…ah Yeaahh!!!” Marine answered confidently, not knowing what it was we were talking about.

I can`t waste any more time on these two, I have to get to first period.

“I`m going to be late for class so farewe—”

“—Ahh what are you doing!!!”

Before I could leave I was dragged by the hand to a club room.

The club was well furnished three couches, a fan, table in the center and an electronic clock above the door.

Marine was passed out on one of the couches the one closest to the window… she falls asleep easy.

Elea and I each sat down on one of the couches in the club room just opposite each other.

As far as I`m concerned this is a kidnapping.

“Hey this is a kidnapping right.”

“No its not, I just dragged you here against your will that`s all.”

“I`m calling the police.” I glared at her.

“Wait-wait- wait don’t do it,” she pleaded, “I`m too young to go to jail!”

And suddenly without warning Marine Yelled in a loud theatrical manner. “ DON`T WORRY I`LL VISIT YOU EVERY DAY ELEAAA!!!”

“You woke up just to play along with the skit?!!” Elea and I screamed out.

“Honestly though why`d you bring me here.” I sighed

“It’s because you...” She paused for a moment to resolve herself, took in a deep breath and yelled out.

 “It’s because you have massive hotters!!”

“I`m out of here.”

“Wait no, I mean you don’t actually have massive hotters their actually really, really, really small.”

 She said with her arms crossed.

CHOP!!

CRACKKK!!!

“Ouchhh!!"

"My head you didn’t have to hit me that hard, I think my head made a cracking sound!”

“I`m out of here!!”

“I was kidding okay the real reason… is we need a new member or the student councils gonna shut our club down.”

For a moment I nearly gave in to her begging that’s when it hit me. 

I`m a defective human being, I`m not fit for socializing, I`m not meant to be with others, I don’t want what happened to sister to happen to them because I can tell these two are…good people unlike me.

“I`m sorry but I ca—”

“— wait you don’t have to really join or be here with us all the time, just sign up and say you’re a member okay, to save our club.” She sniffled with teary eyes.

I guess there isn’t any harm, if I`m just a temp member, till they find new members, I`ll just be doing them a little favor.

“Fine I`ll join.” I said reluctantly. 

“Only temporarily.”

“Really! You`ll join this calls for a celebration!”

“Can I go to class now, second period is almost done.”

“Sorry but no…Its tradition for this club`s new members to stay together until fourth period!” Elea declared.

 “Right Marine!!”

Marine simply snored in her sleep.

“What do you mean by tradition, I`m your first new member!”

After a lengthy argument we ended up agreeing that I`d stay with them till third period was over.

We each did our own thing Marine slept peacefully on the couch. Elea was immersed in what looked to be an erotic novel and I decided to catch up on some studies.

None of us said a word, the room was completely silent…But every now and then you`d hear the sound of a page being flipped, or a clock tick away or the gentle breath of someone sleeping.

This feeling, it`s a gentle peaceful feeling, I can`t really describe it but...It’s a good feeling.

Before I knew it fifth period had already gone by.

Wait Fifth period had already gone by!!

“I have to get to class!"

“Oh like right now.” Elea added, “Could you wake Marine you and her have the same sixth period right.”

Shake! Shake!

She woke up after two shakes.

“Let`s get going we`re late!”

“O-okay.” Marine murmured.

One of us made a mad dash for class while the other lethargically trekked at a snail’s pace.

The teacher hadn’t yet arrived fortunately, so I took my seat upfront you see usually I seat alone but…Today someone dragged their desk all the way to the front to seat beside me, more accurately sleep beside me. 

It`s Marine!

I could hear some classmates saying “Are Frey and Marine close or something. I think I saw her with Elea too this morning. Think she joined that club of theirs?”

Rumors travel fast in schools huh..

Others said. “Someone as gloomy as Frey hanging out with Marine and Elea how crazy is that.”

Their right I am a gloomy person.

“Don’t listen to them.” Marine muttered in her sleep.

Is she sleep talking? That’s probably the case but, “thanks Marine.”

“Quiet down everyone!” The English teacher roared as he walked in.

Throughout the lesson Marine was slipping in and out of consciousness, she`d get smacked by the teacher every time she fell asleep.

It would be easier for her to sleep peacefully at the back so why`d she move upfront?

At lunch Elea busted through the class door and declared it was mandatory for club members to have lunch together...

"Frey, Marine, mandatory club lunch now!"

 so I had lunch with the both of them.

After class that day Elea busted through the class door and declared it was mandatory for club members to walk home together

"Frey, Marine lets go it`s mandatory!"

"Huh..." I sighed.

 so I walked home with the both of them.

Before Long I started going to the club room everyday, sometimes I`d study in silence as Elea and Marine fooled around with each. 

Other times I`d end up fooling around with the both of them.

Something’s been bothering me about that story she gave me.

It`s been weeks since I became a temp member for this club, and I realized something this club doesn’t really do anything.

The school much less the student council could give a damn, if it was down a member or two. So why ask me to join, they has be another reason why Elea and Marine wanted me to join.

I need to know.

“Elea tell me, why did you ask me to join your club?”

“Light novels with big breasted characters are the best!” 

She advertised.

Marine was fast asleep as usual.

“If you don’t give me a serious answer, I`ll leave right now.”

I`ve known about you for a while now, you’re a genius student, but you don’t have many friends.You`re super athletic but are never the first pick at sports.You never make the effort to talk to anyone. I thought that was pretty sad and so I wanted to talk to you.”

She continued.

“Marine and I did some investigating on those missing girls; all of them were people going through loss,tough times, depression or girls who were getting bullied.

“I heard your sister died so I figured you`d be depressed, or going through some stuff like that. I thought that might make you the next victim and so I was worried about you.”

That would never happen, because I`m not at all bothered by people disliking me, and I`m not depressed about sister`s death, I killed her after’ all.

“So you were just worried about me.If that`s the case I`m fine so can I leave the club then?”

“You didn’t let me finish.” She tossed her novel aside. “at first that was the reason… but now we want you around because you’re a lot of fun.”

“And also because you have massi—”

CRACK!!

I smacked her head as hard I could.

“My head… you didn’t have to hit me that hard!”

Is it really okay for me to be with these two?

 Is it really alright for someone like me to be spending time with them?

 What if someday, somehow I end up hurting them, like the way I hurt sis?

I don`t have any of the answers to those questions, but right now I`ll enjoy this moment.

"Sorry but you`re an idiot Elea."

“I didn’t properly say it when you joined, so I`ll say it now!” Elea declared.

“Welcome to the supernatural studies club—

the S.S.C for short, we`re happy to have you!!” She said with a smile.

“I`m happy to have you here too.” Marine said, as she yawned.

Did she here everything, we were talking about...This whole time she was awakee!!

“You we`re awake the whole time!!” We both chorused.
