Are you ok mister guard?

The shopping mall, a place most of us have been at least once, a place full of a wide variety of stores, whether they are clothes shops, electronic equipment or even food stands there is always something for everybody to do. And also, all of these shops have a wide variety of individuals attending them. In short, if there is a place on earth that can say it has at least a hundred personalities walking through its corridors that would be a shopping mall.

But there is not only customers and employees in the shopping malls, usually there is a third kind of people in there, we are talking about the security guards, yeas, those brave men and women who are there to preserve the peace and the good convivence between customers and shop employees, they are there to help lost children find their parents, they help guiding confused elders to their destination and to catch any law-braker on the spot; you can see them in their uniforms, standing proudly, looking both strong and kind, so you can always approach them if you have any questions. They are there, always ready.

However, in these shopping mall, the is a security guard that doesn’t look that ready, in fact, his sight is blank, giving away that he is lost in his own thoughts, his posture is not the one of a public servant, he looks more like a zombie, so much so that even his mouth is partially open. The people that look at security guards know that they are there in order to prevent anything bad from happening, so they ask no questions, however, anyone who might see him will immediately question something: Is he OK?

Morita Ryoichi, age 23 is a security guard in the Enako Shopping Center, and he is known by a not so good reason: he often spaces out during work. However he is the son of the security company owner, so he gets away with it every time. Also, he always has a reason for spacing out, today’s reason? He is watching over the food stands.
