A Call for Help.

Some days, in the hours before closing the mall gets really calmed, but even if things seem peaceful it doesn’t mean they are.

Ryoichi received a message from his friend and game store manager, Abe Takashi, he said that he spotted a very suspicious person walking around in front of his store, and he asked him if he could come and stick around for a bit to scare him off, and Ryoichi accepted immediately.

After looking from a different point that this person wasn’t in the store he went to have a look around the zone to be sure that this suspicious person wasn’t around other business, after not seeing anything or anyone suspicious he went to the game store. Inside it was just the manager Takashi, it was almost time to close, and he was making sure everything was ok in the sales system. Ryoichi approached him and said:

“I checked all the surroundings, I couldn’t find anything, can you give me a description of him?"

"Of whom?"

"Of the suspicious person of course."

"Oh right! I did say that. Sorry there was never someone suspicious around here.”

“Eh?”

“Yeah, I know, sorry. But wait.” Said Takashi and then showed up a sign he got under the counter. “You are our visitor number 1,000 which means you have won an exclusive discount of 30% on a certain title.”

Ryoichi found out exactly why he was there.

“And that specific title is…”

“Indeed! Elite Busters!”

“Thank you but I will reject the offer.”

“Why? Isn’t it good enough? What if I give you a 50% discount then.”

“Do you have an actual agreement with the developers or are you just so addicted to the game?”

“What should I answer for you to buy it?”

“I’m not going to buy it, I would love to, but I don’t have enough money right now.”

“How much do you have?”

“Right now? Nothing.”

“Then super special offer, it is now free! So you better-”

Before he could continue, Ryoichi chopped him in the head.

“Do your work properly! And let me do mine as well.”

And then he walked towards the door.

“But I am the manager of the store, I can do anything I want!”

“This store will go bankrupt under that mentality.”

“Well, nothing lasts forever!”

“Well, then.” And he turned towards him again. “I’m telling your wife you just said that.”

“That’s too far man, you know the limits.”

They stared at each other for a second and then laughed out loud.

“I’m going now!” Said Ryoichi. “It’s almost closing time so you better hurry up!”

“All right, but just so you know, this was just a limited time offer. It might be impossible for it to repeat!”

“That’s a shame, well I guess I’ll never play that game then.”

“I’m joking it might repeat the next time you come by!”

“Then I’ll never come back to this store.” Said leaving the store and laughing.
