Another World and the Stone Tower

He saw that he was in a forest. It had tall trees that seemed to reach the sky and large canopies that engulf the forest. The climate was cool and dark. Terry stood up and touched his forehead. It was not stinging anymore. He was sweating cool sweat because of the temperature of the forest. He strolled along the forest path, which was paved with dirt and some rocks. The trees had weird fungi and the thickets had unique flowers Terry have not seen before. Was he dreaming? It seemed very real and live. A strong wind blew and rustled the large branches. He then saw a large wall up ahead. He wondered what it was. Was it a city? Was it a dungeon, like in RPG video games? He picked up speed and ran towards it. He jumped over large roots and climbed trunks until he was out of the forest. He saw that the wall was not the walls of a city or a dungeon. It was a tall, stone tower that was higher than the forest's trees. it was surrounded by an abyss full of fog and clouds. The tower was so high that the top was covered with thick clouds.  There were moving shadows in the clouds and they looked like wings. Terry crossed the stone bridge. It looked like a deserted battlefield. Rusted swords and armour lay by the bloody walls. Vines and plants strangled what looked like skeletons in armour. Terry shivered. It was a very creepy sight. He reached the wooden doors. It was very large and Terry thought that a giant can fit inside. He pushed it but it was very hard. He tried to kick it, but it was very solid. He then saw a sign at the center of the door.  It was another language but somehow, he can understand it. It said:

Traveller, here you will experience the old battles and how they felt.

You can be slashed by a sword, blocked by a shield, and see the fires make them melt.

It will be real, just in my tower. You may experience the present in the kingdoms beyond this high stone wall, but here you will feel the past forever. 

Traveller, you have been warned. There is no escaping from the past and we don't know how you are going to last...

Terry read this and had many questions in his head. Will he be slashed by a sword or melted by a fire from the past? And there were other kingdoms beyond this high tower, shouldn't he visit them first before getting stuck in this tower? Well, he wanted an adventure. He couldn't go back to his boring life back home. He was about to push it again when the doors were opening by themselves. This was the start of his new adventure, and it was a terrifying one.
