Ice cream.

On hot days the lovers of sweet food have one common thought: Ice cream; that wonderful invention can be a dessert or a treat, the delightful flavors it comes in and the wide presentations you can find them makes it one of the most wonderful solutions to a hot day.

The employee at the game store is absent due to food poisoning, so today the two managers are covering him; Toshiko went out to get some lunch for them and Takashi is alone right now, and due to the heat and the hunger he only has one thing in mind: Ice cream. However, he can’t leave the store to go buy some since he is the only one there, and to make matters worse there is an ice cream store right in front of his store, so he is tempted to go buy some every time he looks towards the door. But suddenly, hope passed right in front of him: Ryoichi making his rounds.

“Ryo, wait up!” Said as he left the desk and went running to the door.

“What’s up?”

“Ah, I’m so glad you came by right now, I don’t know what would have happen to me if you didn’t show up.” Said catching his breath, obviously he is not use to run not even the distance between the door and the store desk.

Ryoichi didn’t answer, he knew his friend was exaggerating things, so he just let him continue.

“Please, could you go buy me some ice cre-”

“No.” And he turned around to continue his way.

“C’mon I’ll buy you one.”

Ryoichi turned towards him and said:

“I’m not a delivery service person, I’m a security guard and as you can see, I am on duty.” After that he once again turned around.

However Takashi wasn’t going to give up that easily, he looked at the ice cream store once again and saw an offer: buy 3 pay 2, so he made that his last bargaining chip.

“Ok, I’ll give you two ice creams then.”

Ryoichi stopped and after giving it a little thought turned around and said:

“Deal.”
