Chapter 1:

A Fresh Start

Luminar(ON HOLD)

As I make my way to work, the noise of car horns, the shouting of bystanders, and the periodic beeping of traffic signals changing are a constant. Would I ever be able to find peace and calm with the way my life is? I'm not too bothered by it. I simply block out the noise and get on with my day.

My boss and coworker Mark parked next to me as I pull up to the office and throws his trash at me. Mark has bullied me my entire life and tormented me constantly. He always appeared to be there, whether it was at elementary school, boys home(A orphanage for just young boys), or now at work

sigh "It'll be okay," I mutter softly. I pick up the trash, toss it in the bin, and head straight to my desk. Later, in the lunchroom with other colleagues, one coworker sits next to me. "Hey Timothy, why do you let that jerk push you around?" they ask, concerned for me.

"Oh, it's nothing. Just work-related stuff," I reply while eating. My coworker says, "If you need help, just let me know. I'll handle that jerk." They get up and return to work.

As the day ends, Mark approaches. "Hey loser, you're doing overtime. It's not a request, it's an order." My lunchtime coworker interrupts, angrily defending me. "Leave him alone. We've all seen it – stop picking on him!" Mark glares, then says, "Fine, Timmy, you're starting two hours early tomorrow." My coworker offers to start early with me.

I pack up and go to my car. At home, I reflect on my life since childhood.

My parents died in a car accident when I was ten, leading to my placement in childcare and then a boys' home, where Mark and others continued bullying me. Even now, with a decent job and a not so affordable place to rent, I struggle to find happiness.

The real reason Mark bullies me is that I was inadvertently responsible for both our parents' deaths, and he has harbored that anger for years. That's why I let him do it.

It's a sad thought – if I had a second chance, I'd live a life filled with pride and happiness.

"Well, I better go to bed," I say aloud.

In an unknown location, there is a small, brightly lit room with shimmering walls and a plush white carpet. A wooden table with fresh flowers sits in the center, surrounded by cozy chairs. The room is further adorned with a crystal chandelier, a bookshelf full of classic and modern literature, a window overlooking a lovely garden, and soothing background music. Two figures converse.

On the left stands Urielle, a tall, stunning woman with long, golden hair. Her bright blue eyes reveal the purity of her spirit, and her silky skin complements the flowing white dress she wears, which is decorated with intricate lace and embroidery.

On the right is Seraphine, a stern-faced woman with short, platinum white hair and piercing grey eyes. She dons a fitted white tunic with a high collar and silver clasps, which displays her lean and toned figure.

Urielle speaks to Seraphine, "I believe I've found someone who would make an excellent addition to our world. From what I can see, he has the qualities that would make him a true fit. I sense a kind and pure heart within him, and I have no doubt that he would thrive in our company. What do you think"?

Seraphine responds cautiously, "Out of all the individuals on this earth, you've chosen him? Are you sure he possesses the qualities required to join the world we've created? I've witnessed much darkness in this world, and we cannot afford any mistakes. Please, consider your decision carefully."

Urielle replies with a grin, "I'm certain he's the one. I will grant him a second chance, but first, we must bring him here."

Seraphine responds, "As you wish, sister. I'll begin the process of transporting him here."

Back in Timothy’s home.
The following morning arrived, and I showered, brushed my teeth, and changed into my work attire. After eating breakfast, I headed out for work. As I opened the door to leave my home, I noticed a letter attached to it. I had been expecting this letter, as I was already two weeks late on my rent payment. With my current financial situation, I couldn't even afford a single loaf of bread.

The eviction letter:

I let out a sigh and shook my head in dismay.

I casually walked away and got into my car, heading to work. Traffic seemed busier than usual. "Hmm, I wonder what's going on," I murmured. As I merged onto the main highway, honking noises filled the air. With the abundance of cars on the road, I didn't notice a speeding vehicle approaching from behind. Suddenly, CRASH – the sound of metal colliding rang out as the cars made contact.

My eyes fluttered open, and I found myself lying on the floor in an unfamiliar room.

Seraphine spoke, "Urielle, here he is.",

I glanced around, gradually rising to my feet, and asked with confusion, "Where am I?"
