Chapter 3:

Unknown Figure

Luminar(ON HOLD)

sprinting Is heard through an unknown forest, dodging twisted roots and ducking beneath low-hanging branches, the ground quaked with a beast’s thunderous steps. Leaves and debris flew through the air, evidence of the destruction it left in its wake.

A graceful and agile elf, leaped onto the trunk of a fallen tree, her silver bow ready to strike. With a sharp, determined gaze, she notched an arrow, its fletching brushing her cheek as she drew back the string. She released the projectile, sending it flying towards the hulking beast's crimson eye.

A howl of pain echoed through the forest, temporarily halting the beast's pursuit.

"Now's you're chance!" The elf cried out. Two silhouettes swiftly emerged behind the massive beast, one figure that looked much older then the other, quickly covered his hands In what looked like Ice, he used it to freeze the beast In place so the other figure would get ready to strap down the beast. As they continued, it seems they succeeded

"This should suffice," one of the figures stated. The other figure hurried to the side of the elven woman, tending to her and assessing if she had any injuries.

"Nellas, are you all right? Did the beast harm you?" The figure asked anxiously.

"I'm unharmed, big brother. I'm not the little girl you used to shield anymore. I can take care of myself now."

"I just needed to be certain. Regardless, you'll always be my younger sister." As they conversed, the third figure made certain the beast was restrained and unconscious.

"There's no need to fret, Narwen. She's tough. Help me drag this beast; we must return to the village." As the three elves packed up their camping equipment, they made their way back to their village. Few hours went by and a sudden snapping sound echoed through the air...

The three elves spun around, but before they could react, a swipe was inflicted... "Master!" Narwen shrieked, with Nellas frozen in horror on the ground. Their master had pushed Nellas aside just in time.

The swipe had ripped through their master's armor, leaving a deep wound across his chest. Blood spilled onto the forest floor. “I was careless” the master spoke

the beast they had restrained and knocked out had somehow awakened. Its claws were razor-sharp, and it bared its fangs threateningly, readying itself for another attack.

Both Narwen and Nellas’s heart pounded in their chest, but they both knew they could not afford to let fear take over. Both siblings drew their bow with practiced precision and let loose multiple arrows, striking the beast squarely in its shoulder, back and head. The beast roared in pain, momentarily distracted from its prey.

“Master, stay strong! We'll protect you!" Narwen called out, his voice shaking but determined. Nellas, similarly resolute, with their bows in hand they move to engage the beast in combat. Their master, clutching his bleeding wound, stumbled back, his eyes wide with both fear and pride as he watched his students face the beast.

The beast delivering powerful blows, both siblings dodging each blow and landing several well-placed strikes of their own, the beast getting stronger by every attack, both siblings were tiring out. They had to quickly end the beast so they can aid their master.

Their master, badly hurt, could only watch as his students fought with all their might.

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from behind the master...
Turning to his right, the master sees a thin tall figure wearing a black cloak covering the figure’s whole body and arms with a long split right down the center for the arms to move freely standing next to him. The figure spoke up.

"Looks like I'm late," the figure said, looking down at the injured master.

Surprised, the master asked, "Why is a Terran here, so far from home?"

"It's a long story. But for now, it looks like you need some healing." While still standing, without any movements or a single word. A bright green light appeared, and the deep cut across the master's chest healed instantly. "Oh an anointed, strange…I couldn’t sense a single aura from you, but anyways thanks for helping me. I need to go help my students."

"No need, I'll take care of it; just stay put. Your students look exhausted, but they're really skilled and determined.", The master stood up and followed up by saying "I don't think It'll be best for you to head straight Into combat, your aura doesn’t seem to be that strong. I'll take care of It, I'm also anointed"

Meanwhile...

The siblings were gasping for breath, their movements becoming slower and slower. Nellas was hit by the beast's powerful attack. "Nellas! Are you okay?" Narwen yelled, running toward his sister.

At the same time, the figure walked forward, looking calm as he approached the massive beast. With each step, the air seemed to shimmer, and time itself appeared to slow down. Then....everything and everyone was frozen In place, before they knew it, the beast lay dead on the ground. Narwen stared in shock, while Nellas was just as stunned, seeing the creature seemingly collapse.

Standing beside the lifeless beast was the slender, calm figure, who then spoke. "The beast's power Is to grow stronger with each injury it took. I don't think you two could have held out much longer, so I had to finish it quickly."

The master couldn't believe it, he was standing In shock. "How did he move so quickly!?" The master said In his mind, "He was just next to me, there's no way someone with so little aura Is this fast and strong. He took that beast down In an instant"

Lets take a moment:
What is this beast? In brief, this particular beast is called a "Woundfury" It represents the fury that emerges from each injury it endures, and its strength multiplies with every wound it receives.

Narwen thanked the figure and hurried to help his sister. As he was tending to Nellas's wound, the figure walked over and healed her injury instantly.

Nellas spoke "Ah an anointed, me and my brother just manifested ours, we're only on the aura stage though, but our master Is on the ability stage. We'll get there though" she exclaimed. Narwen agreed. Continued "How were you able to take down the beast that quick? Even though we’re on the first stage doesn’t mean we can’t sense or see other’s auras. We couldn’t see yours at all and yet you’re this strong," Nellas remarked. She stood up, and Narwen did the same.

With a smile, the figure stood firm and then placed his right hand on his left shoulder, uttering, "Please forgive me." As he spoke those words, he unleashed a small portion of his aura, which shone with a dazzling radiance.

The expansive aura propelled both siblings backward, leaving them utterly astonished. The master, who also observed this event, managed to maintain his stance, yet his clothing and lengthy hair were sent into disarray.
