Chapter 06 The Window

Sarah's day at school had been anything but normal. As she walked through the halls, she noticed that none of the other students were talking to her or even looking in her direction. It was as if everyone had agreed to ignore her presence entirely. She had hoped that things would improve as the day went on, but it only seemed to get worse.

In class, Sarah sat at her desk, feeling increasingly isolated and alone. As the lesson droned on, she struggled to keep her attention focused. Suddenly, she heard her name being called out. Startled, she stood up to answer, but something about the whole classroom felt off.

The room was dimly lit and chilly, even though it was the middle of the day. It was dark outside the window, and the light in the room flickered ominously above the teacher's head, putting him in and out of the shadow. All of the students seemed frozen, as if time had stopped.

Sarah's heart raced with fear as she tried to understand what was happening. "What's going on?" she asked in a trembling voice.

Suddenly, the teacher turned around, revealing his glowing red eyes in the shadow cast by the flickering light. Sarah recognized him instantly as the man with red glowing eyes that had been haunting her nightmares for weeks.

"Oh, Sarah!" the man said in a chilling voice. "I told you I would come back for your soul!"

Sarah's mind raced as she tried to come up with a plan to escape. She knew she had to act quickly, or it would be too late. As the man approached her, she tried to run towards the door, but it wouldn't budge.

Panic set in as the man drew closer, his eyes glowing brighter with each passing second. "No one to save you now, Sarah!" The man said with satisfaction in his voice.

Sarah's mind raced as she tried to come up with a plan. She knew she needed to get out of the classroom, but she didn't know how to get past the door blocking her way. She looked around the room, hoping to find something that could help her.

That's when she noticed a window that slightly glowing with a golden light. It was the same window the boy was looking at. With a burst of energy, she sprinted towards the window, jumping out and landing in a bush outside.

As she lay in the grass, trying to catch her breath, she noticed a group of people walking towards her. They were all dressed in black and had strange symbols painted on their faces. Sarah tried to get up and run, but her legs wouldn't cooperate.

One of the people in the group stepped forward, revealing himself to be the man with red eyes. "Sarah," he said with a sinister grin while vanishing. "You can run, but you can't hide. Your soul belongs to me, and I will stop at nothing to get it."

Panic set in as the man drew closer, his eyes glowing brighter with each passing second and before he completely vanished he grabbed Sarah by the hand. She closed her eyes, ready for the worst, but nothing happened. When she opened her eyes again, she was back in the classroom, back to its normal state, and the other students were going about their business as usual. As a reminder, she had a bruise on her hand left by the man with red eyes.
