Intermission Side Story - Death Incarnate (Part 2)

Scene 17

*Kebba finishes explaining what happened to Sasha*

Kebba: And then from there, Zeth fought me until he collapsed from exhaustion. Nothing he did could finish me off.

*Sasha looks at Kebba’s scar on her right arm*

Sasha: So that scar was from what I did to you…

*Sasha then thinks*

Sasha: (Thinking) She can’t die from physical injuries but she still got that scar from me. Does that mean that she hasn’t always been physically immune to death? And that gemstone on her forehead… That was on her father’s forehead back then.

*Sasha speaks out loud again*

Sasha: Your father, Anubis. What happened to him?

*Kebba smirks*

Kebba: I killed him.

Sasha: Killed?

Kebba: He was not immune to death by physical injury like I am.

*Kebba starts looking and sounding angry*

Kebba: Ever since you gave me this scar on my arm… He would constantly compare me to you! He wanted me to aspire to be like you! He wanted me to act like you!! He wanted me to kill like you!! He wanted me to become you!!! So, I fulfilled that wish and killed him with my own two hands!!!

*Kebba’s power charges up. Sasha gets in a battle stance*

Sasha: Looks like I struck a nerve.

*Sasha and Kebba rush toward each other and grab onto each other’s hands. They both look angry and are gritting their teeth as they stare into each other’s eyes. They are pushing against each other*

Kebba: All of that caused me so much stress that most of my hair turned gray!!

Sasha: (Thinking) There’s no way she was always physically immune to death! I have to find a loophole!

*Sasha is distracted in that thought and it allows Kebba to do an upwards vertical kick that hits Sasha on the chin. Kebba follows that up with a few punches and then releases the death injury to blow Sasha back. Sasha lands on her feet but notices more blood wounds and skin peeling away*

Sasha: You really do have similar death energy to the Death Water!

Kebba: Yes! My power has its strength and weaknesses compared to Death Water!

*Kebba blur dashes to Sasha to reach her in a near instant. However, Sasha is ready and punches Kebba in the face and then gut punches her which makes her cough but she counters by elbowing Sasha in the gut which causes her to cough too*

*Kebba kicks Sasha away*

Kebba: While my death power can’t quickly tear people apart like Death Water does, it can affect those that have a death desire large enough to overcome the death energy of Death Water!

*Suddenly, a lot of large demonic rodents dig up from the ground. They are Hell Gophers. They try to attack Kebba but Kebba releases her death energy all around her and all of the Hell Gophers drop dead*

Kebba: Nice try.

*Sasha then notices a trail of dying grass heading straight toward her. She opens her eyes wide and tries to jump out of the way. Death energy bursts out from the ground from where she was standing. Although she managed to keep her whole body from getting hit by it, it still makes contact with the upper left part of her face. Skin starts peeling and blood starts flowing in the area around her left eye*

*Kebba launches up toward Sasha before Sasha lands back on the ground, but Sasha is ready and blocks Kebba’s punch with her arm. Sasha then punches Kebba in the face and then thrusts her knee up into Kebba’s gut. Sasha then puts her hands together and pounds down on Kebba’s back which blows her down. She hits the ground with the ground then collapsing on top of her*

*Sasha lands back on the ground. Kebba blows out of the collapsed ground and Sasha immediately kicks her which knocks her back into some trees and finally into the Death Water*

*Sasha stares with a serious expression*

Sasha: I see even amputation doesn’t work on you.

*Kebba stands up in the Death Water looking confused*

Sasha: Look down.

*Kebba looks down at her abdomen and sees a thin horizontal gap in her clothes with blood flowing from the gap. Kebba looks very confused*

Kebba: When did you…!?

Sasha: It was an extremely fast attack. I don’t blame you for not registering it. When you blew out of the collapsed ground, I actually first slashed your abdomen with my right hand to try to cut you into two halves before I kicked you back.

*The last sequence is then shown in slow motion to show what happened. Kebba blows out of the collapsed ground as Sasha readies her right hand and slashes horizontally. The sequence still looks very fast even in slow motion. Blood flows from the slash but her body stays whole. Sasha then immediately kicks her back. The slow-motion sequence ends*

Sasha: That would have normally cut you in two halves which even if you didn’t die, you would at least be immobilized. But your body immediately reconnected itself.

*Kebba starts to laugh*

Kebba: Hmhmhm. Hehehehe! Hahahahahahahaha!!

Sasha: What’s so funny?

Kebba: You truly are a terrifying opponent! Zeth was super strong! Strong as you even! But he didn’t have that raw killing instinct that you have! That raw killing instinct is what makes you such a terrifying opponent to face! You are willing to utterly devastate your opponents in the most gruesome ways and not even give it a second thought! So let me let you in on a little secret… I am the Death Incarnate!!!

*Sasha raises an eyebrow*

Sasha: Death Incarnate?

Kebba: That’s right! I am the very incarnation of death itself. Most think it is the Gods of Death that such a title would belong to but they only judge the dead! They are not death itself! Let me show you my final form!!

*Kebba screams up toward the sky as her body starts changing. Her body takes on a more dog-like appearance with black fur (except for her head which has gray fur) but she is still humanoid. Her muscles have gotten bigger* (Author’s Note: If you’ve seen anything about Anubis in Egyptian mythology, then you have a pretty good idea of what I’m describing in her appearance with this form.)

Sasha: I figured you had to have something else under your coat.

*Sasha goes into True Demonic Release and then activates Soul Power*

Kebba: Prepare for your death, Sasha.

*Kebba shoots out her death energy at a tree and rips out a chunk of it in the shape of a spear and is covered in the death energy. Sasha forms a Dark Spear. They rush toward each other with their spears and try to attack each other with them. They each block the other’s spear attacks with their own with neither being able to get in a direct hit. But finally, Kebba hits Sasha on her side which knocks her to the left and into the water. Kebba does an arching jump in an attempt to stab Sasha in a downward thrust with her spear*

Kebba: This will end it!!

*Sasha forms a small ball of black energy and throws it up at Kebba*

*Kebba’s eyes open wide as she takes a direct hit from the ball which stops her forward momentum. Sasha quickly gets up and jump-kicks Kebba, knocking her back. Kebba stops herself and regains her footing in the water but Sasha blur dashes toward her. Sasha and Kebba end up punching each other in the face. Right after that, Kebba scrapes the left part of Sasha’s face which causes more skin to peel off the left part of her face*

*The upper left part of Sasha’s face is now completely red in the area around her eye*

*Sasha uppercuts Kebba which causes her to stumble back. Sasha gets in close and starts some rapid punches and then, after that, pierces Kebba’s body with her hands*

Sasha: I’ll rip out your intestines and strangle you with them!

*Sasha rips them but they immediately reattach before she can get them out of Kebba’s body. Kebba releases a wave of death energy from her hand and it hits Sasha’s face, blowing her back*

*Sasha is seen from behind now and she stands up*

*Kebba smirks*

Kebba: That’s a nice look for you. I’m surprised it hasn’t caused you to drop dead yet.

*Sasha is then shown from the front. All of the organic layers of the upper left part of her face have come off and now her skull can be seen there. Even her left eye is gone. Her kids who are watching over the unconscious Zeth are shocked*

Hayden: Mom! Your face!!

Rose: That’s a big yikes!!

Violet: Let us help you!! Please!!

Sasha: No! I have this under control!

*Kebba laughs*

Kebba: Hahahahahaha!! Maybe you should reconsider, Sasha. After all, you might just be a zombie at this point!

*Sasha points at her own head*

Sasha: My brain is still intact! I’m not even close to finished!

Kebba: For how much longer!?

*Kebba is then taken by surprise as Sasha blur dashes toward her and punches her hard in the face. Kebba’s skull cracks a bit and she is knocked back a far distance. By the time she stops herself, Sasha has already gotten close to her again. Sasha gut punches Kebba which causes her to cough up blood*

*Kebba tries to punch Sasha back but she stops the punch by grabbing Kebba’s arm and then uses her other hand to punch Kebba in the face again and parts of Kebba’s skull shatter. Kebba is now knocked back like a rag doll and knocks over some trees in the process*

*Sasha once again closes in on Kebba before her body stops. Sasha slams her elbow down on Kebba’s back which shatters her spine into two pieces*

Sasha: I’ll destroy your body so much that it can never recover itself!!

*Kebba’s body is now back on land*

*Sasha reforms her Dark Spear and pierces Kebba’s throat with it. Sasha puts her hands together and slams them down on Kebba’s gut which, combined with the spear piercing her throat, makes a lot of blood just explode out of Kebba’s mouth*

*The kids are shocked*

Hayden: Mom can be incredibly brutal!

*Rose gulps*

Rose: Remind me to never piss off Mom! She really is a sadist!

Violet: Noted!

*Kebba’s body looks limp and lifeless*

Sasha: *huff huff* Did I do it?

*Kebba’s lifeless body then starts to glow with death energy. Sasha is shocked*

*A large wave of death energy is released in all directions from Kebba’s body. Sasha is blown back*

*Kebba pulls the Dark Spear out of her neck (causing it to dissipate) and stands back up. She looks alive and well*

Kebba: As I said, I am the Death Incarnate. No physical injury can kill me. Just give up and die.

*Sasha stands back up and is breathing heavily. More of her skin has peeled off (even part of her lip is missing so her teeth can be seen even with her mouth closed) and she is bleeding almost all over*

Sasha: Death Incarnate? No… You can’t even die. That’s the exact opposite of Death Incarnate. Even if it was for less than an hour, I’ve died before… You are not the Death Incarnate… The Death Incarnate is… ME!!!

*Sasha starts running toward Kebba*

Kebba: What are you babbling about!? Die!!!!

*Kebba releases death energy like a tidal wave and Sasha runs toward it head-on. Sasha runs right into the tidal wave of death energy and holds her right arm out forward*

Sasha: You’ll see! Power of the Dead!!!!

*A black mist starts covering the whole area as a large, undetailed, bloody face starts flying around. Kebba is shocked*

Kebba: That’s…!?

Scene 18

*Kebba suddenly finds herself in a dark dungeon*

Kebba: Where am I? That undetailed face… It looked like the one my father once told me about. This has to be some illusion. I must break it!

*Kebba goes through the only door in the room of the dungeon that she started in. She now finds herself in a hallway and, as she walks, she can hear Sasha in multiple directions whispering the words “Deathly Nightmare.” Kebba starts to become angry*

Kebba: Come out, you coward!!

*Kebba then hears Sasha’s voice more clearly through a door in the room to her right. Kebba slams the door open*

Kebba: Face me!!

*Kebba is then shocked when she sees herself as a little girl. Little girl Kebba is scared sitting in the corner*

Young Kebba: Please don’t hurt me, Father! I’m sorry!

*Anubis enters the room. Kebba is shocked to see him but he walks past her and goes straight to Young Kebba*

Anubis: I’m not going to hurt you, Kebechet. Just do what I asked of you. Show me the same death desire that Sasha showed when she injured your arm.

*Young Kebba has a flashback to Sasha slashing her arm. The flashback ends and Young Kebba puts her hands on her head as she screams in terror. She then runs out of the room in terror*

*Anubis smirks*

Anubis: Soon, that terror will turn into sadistic death desire.

*Anubis walks out of the room too*

Kebba: This is a real memory. How does Sasha know this exact memory? And also… why are you showing me this!? Come out, Sasha!!

*Kebba leaves the room and looks distressed. She starts running through the hall and then she hears creepy-sounding laughs from Sasha in all directions. She opens every door she comes across to check every room to see if Sasha is in them only to find them empty. The more she continues, the louder Sasha’s laughs get*

*Kebba becomes more distressed and screams*

Kebba: Where are you!!?

*While in a room, Kebba turns around to see Sasha walking by in the hallway. Kebba runs back into the hallway to see Sasha go into a room up ahead*

Kebba: There you are!!

*Kebba runs and heads into the room too. Her eyes open wide when she sees Anubis and Young Kebba again. Young Kebba is tied to a chair while Anubis stands by a table with various sharp objects, like knives, on it*

Kebba: This memory…!

*Anubis grabs a knife from the table*

Anubis: You see, Kebechet, the power to not die from physical damage to your body has a major flaw. Do you know what that is?

*Young Kebba looks very scared*

Young Kebba: N- No.

*Anubis stabs Young Kebba’s left leg with the knife, causing Young Kebba to scream in intense pain*

Anubis: That weakness is that you can still feel pain. The Deity of Death power to not die from physical damage can be turned off, either voluntarily or through a subconscious wish. In other words, if you suffer from intense pain and wish to die, then you will. That’s why we need to… get your pain tolerance up.

*Anubis smiles*

Young Kebba: No, Father!! Please no!! I don’t want to feel pain!!

*Anubis picks up a two-pronged blade from the table*

Anubis: Don’t worry. I won’t hit any vital points.

*Anubis stabs Young Kebba’s right arm with the two-pronged blade, causing Young Kebba to scream in agony with tears falling from her eyes*

Anubis: It hurts now but soon you will be the one who will succeed me as the Deity of Death!

*Anubis grabs a dagger and stabs Young Kebba’s right foot with it. Young Kebba continues to scream in agony as she now has something pierced into her left leg, right arm, and right foot*

*Kebba watches the memory play out and looks like she might start hyperventilating from seeing it. Kebba runs out of the room, screaming in terror, and then starts falling into a void of darkness. Deathly Nightmare has left her terrified and she can do nothing but scream as she falls into the dark void*

Scene 19

*The black mist fades away and Kebba is lying on the ground with her hands on her head, still screaming*

*Sasha stands nearby with a look of pity on her face*

Sasha: This isn’t your fault. You were put in this terrible position by your father. He tried to make you like me… but you’re not me and you never will be.

*Kebba finally realizes she’s out of the nightmare. She stands up while tears still flow down her face. She looks angrily at Sasha*

Kebba: Shut up! Shut up!! Shut up!!!!

*Kebba readies her death power*

Sasha: There is still a ton of death energy in this area. It makes the Undead Underworld look like a drop in the bucket in comparison. So I can use Power of the Dead to end your life.

Kebba: Shut up!!!!!!

Sasha: I pity you.

*Sasha activates Power of the Dead again but Kebba releases a large wave of death power at her. However, the power is quickly dispersed as Sasha’s form starts to change. Sasha’s skin turns completely gray and the parts that peeled off are restored. Her teeth become very elongated and sharper. Her eyes become more triangulated and start glowing red. Her skin gets demonic markings on it and her clothes become ancient-looking rags. Spikes start growing out of many parts of her body. Her long black hair stays intact. She stands tall and ready to attack*

Narrator: Power of the Dead – Death Incarnate.

*Kebba is shocked*

Kebba: What is this!!?

*Sasha’s voice has a monstrous and demonic sound to it*

Sasha: The true Death Incarnate.

*Sasha does an arching leap toward Kebba. In a panic, Kebba releases more death power at Sasha but they have no effect on her. Sasha lands and grabs Kebba by the neck. She bites down on Kebba’s shoulder using her long and razor-sharp teeth*

*Kebba screams in pain*

*Sasha punches Kebba back and then blur dashes toward her*

Sasha: You will accept death.

*Sasha impales Kebba in multiple places on her abdomen by shooting out the spikes from her body which causes Kebba to scream in pain even more*

*Sasha appears behind Kebba and stabs her in both arms with the spikes, causing even more pain to Kebba. Sasha then kicks Kebba up in the air and launches up toward her*

Sasha: It turns out that I was on the right track earlier! I was hitting you with attacks that cause agonizing pain but my punch that shattered a big chunk of your skull actually knocked you unconscious so you didn’t feel the pain! I won’t make that mistake again! I will torture you to the point that you choose to die!!

*Sasha reaches Kebba in the air and slams her elbow down on Kebba’s gut which sends her flying back down. Sasha shoots some spikes down on the ground where Kebba will land and when she does, the spikes impale her*

*Kebba coughs up a lot of blood and she is in intense pain*

*Sasha lands back on the ground. Kebba can’t get off the spikes and she continues to be in intense pain*

Sasha: It’s time. Choose to end your life.

Kebba: I won’t!!

*Sasha shoots spikes through both of Kebba’s feet, causing Kebba to scream in more pain*

Sasha: Accept it!

Kebba: No!!

Sasha: You’re bringing this on yourself.

*Sasha shoots spikes through each of Kebba’s hands which causes more pain and screaming*

Kebba: If I choose to die, I will have gone through that pain tolerance torture for no reason!!

Sasha: So what!? What goal in life do you have that you need death immunity for!? Is your purpose in life really only to kill me!?

*Sasha aims her hand (with a spike coming out of it) at Kebba’s head*

Sasha: This one will be the most painful one.

Kebba: I’ve never had anything!!!

*Sasha shoots the spike through Kebba’s face. Kebba screams at the top of her lungs and is now crying in her agony*

Sasha: Damn it, Kebba! Just accept it!!

*Kebba suddenly hears Anubis’s voice in her head*

Anubis: You’re about to reach the tipping point, Kebechet.

*Kebba is internally shocked*

Kebba: Father!?

Anubis: That’s right. My chance has finally arrived!

*Suddenly, the coffin gemstone on Kebba’s forehead starts glowing*

Sasha: What?

*Kebba starts screaming as energy bursts out from the gemstone*

Sasha: What’s happening!?

*Anubis’s body forms in the sky. Once he fully forms, he falls and lands back on the ground*

*Both Sasha and Kebba are shocked*

Sasha: Anubis!?

Kebba: Father!? But I killed you!?

Anubis: That you did. I was very impressed actually. At that moment, you became what I wanted you to become.

Kebba: You’re missing the point!! How are you here now!!?

Anubis: You don’t fully understand the powers of the Deity of Death. Before I gave you the gemstone to become my successor, I linked my soul to the gemstone. My soul did not go back to the Divine World when I died and stayed in the gemstone. Now the gemstone has given physical form to my soul. Such is the power of the Deity of Death.

Kebba: But why!?

Anubis: I couldn’t stand departing without the Power of the Dead. I’ve spent my whole life trying to acquire it and yet I never quite figured it out. And somehow, the daughter of the Dark Goddess acquired it.

*Anubis looks at Sasha*

Anubis: You are one I admire, Sasha. And now you’ve grown up to be the Dark Goddess just like Dakame. As a sign of respect, I ask that you give me the Power of the Dead. In return, I will grant neither you nor any of your family any harm.

Sasha: I think you misunderstand. One does not simply acquire the Power of the Dead. You don’t “find” it. It finds you. The Power of the Dead chose me. I can’t give it away because it is now a part of me.

*Anubis starts to look irritated*

Sasha: You lived in this area for your whole life and never found it. I visited once and was drawn to it.

*Sasha points directly at Anubis*

Sasha: You weren’t meant to get the Power of the Dead and never will!

*Anubis becomes enraged*

Anubis: That is an outrageous claim!!! I was the Deity of Death!!! How would I not be meant to claim the Power of the Dead!!!?

*Anubis gets in a battle position*

Scene 20

*Sasha is still in her Death Incarnate form and also gets in a battle position*

Sasha: I suppose I could “give” you the Power of the Dead. And by that, I mean use it to brutally send your soul to the Divine World for judgment!

*Kebba is still pierced on Sasha’s spikes so she can’t move*

Kebba: Did Father use me this whole time…?

*Anubis charges up his magic but Sasha blur dashes toward him. She punches him hard in the face and the punch looks painful. Anubis tries to retaliate by punching Sasha but she dodges the first punch and then blocks the second punch. She then shoots some spikes into his body and kicks him back*

*Sasha gets close to him again while his body is still in motion. She grabs onto his leg and slams him down onto the ground. Anubis is about to release an energy attack but Sasha stomps on his face to stun him*

Sasha: Kebba is stronger than you. You have no chance of beating me.

*Anubis smirks*

Anubis: Yes, I’m sure Kebba is stronger than me while in her beast form. However, she is not the only one with a beast form.

*Sasha reacts quickly by charging up a ball of energy that has “crying dead” in it*

Narrator: Death Ball – Crying Dead.

*Sasha releases the Death Ball down at Anubis. She has to jump away as it creates a massive explosion where crying souls burst out from it*

Sasha: Did that do it?

Kebba: Above you!!!

*Sasha looks up and sees a large beam of energy coming down toward her. She jumps out of the way to avoid it and is now standing near the still-pierced Kebba*

*A giant humanoid dog beast lands on the ground. The beast is about 40 feet tall. It’s Anubis*

Anubis: This is my full power. It’s far greater than Kebechet’s!

*Kebba looks like she is in complete shock*

Kebba: Father!!

*Sasha and Anubis look over at Kebba*

Kebba: Did you… Did you just use me? Did you take advantage of my hate for Sasha to get a chance to take the Power of the Dead from her? Was me killing you just part of your plan!?

Anubis: I did find out that Sasha had acquired it before you killed me. But having you kill me was not a part of my plans. For a short time, your powers burst to levels beyond mine but your normal max power won’t reach that. You’ve done well, Kebechet, to get me into this position.

*Kebba looks angered*

Kebba: I killed you because of what you put me through! I am not your puppet!! I did what I did for my own sake!!! How dare you still attach yourself to me!!!!

*As Kebba screams in anger, Sasha walks over to her and starts pulling out the spikes that have impaled her*

Sasha: Stand.

*Kebba stands up*

Kebba: I no longer direct my anger at you. I now direct my anger at my father who put me in this position in the first place. I will fight alongside you.

*Anubis looks angered*

Anubis: You dare betray me, Kebechet!?

Kebba: You don’t treat me like your daughter! You treat me like a tool to be used!

*Sasha looks at Kebba*

Sasha: Let’s do this!

Kebba: Definitely!

*They both get into battle positions*

Anubis: Face me if you dare!!

*Sasha and Kebba rush toward Anubis*

*Anubis stomps his foot on the ground, causing a major shockwave of energy to be released. The attack damages Sasha and Kebba as well as knocking them back a bit*

*Sasha and Kebba then start running in opposite directions as Sasha tries to approach from the right and Kebba from the left. Sasha throws a bunch of spikes toward Anubis and Kebba releases death energy at him*

*Anubis swipes the spikes away and he counters Kebba’s death energy with his own*

*Sasha leaps forward and tries to punch Anubis but Anubis attacks with his own punch. Anubis’s fist is much larger than hers due to being 40 feet tall but the force of their punches results in a stalemate. However, Sasha gets the chance to use her other hand to pierce his hand with multiple spikes until Anubis kicks her back*

*Kebba jumps onto his shoulder and then slams her right hand covered in death energy into his right eye. Anubis is in a lot of pain and holds onto his eye with one hand as he uses the other hand to swat Kebba away*

*Anubis does not notice that Sasha has gotten close to him. She leaps up and punches him below his chin. Then she pierces his chin with spikes*

*Kebba then punches him on the back of his head to deal more damage*

*In anger, Anubis jumps upwards and then does a body slam on the ground to create a tidal wave-sized shockwave*

*Sasha looks worried about her kids and Zeth so she blur dashes over to them and spreads her arms out*

Sasha: Stay behind me!!!

*The kids get behind Sasha with the unconscious Zeth with them. The shockwave arrives and Sasha takes it head on*

Sasha: I won’t let you harm my family!!!!

*The part of the shockwave that hits Sasha pushes against her but does not push her back. She stands firm as the shockwave damages her but her family is left unharmed. Soon, the shockwave that pushes against her dissipates and while Sasha took a lot of damage, her family did not get touched by it. Sasha falls to her knees and breathes heavily but she still remains in her Death Incarnate form*

Hayden: Mom, are you okay!?

Rose: We’re sorry you had to take the hit to protect us!

Sasha: Don’t worry. I’m hurting but I’m fine. He doesn’t know it yet, but Death Incarnate will be his end.

*Meanwhile, Kebba’s injuries from the shockwave heal due to being immune to death from physical injuries*

Kebba: I had no idea Father was this strong.

*Anubis stands back up*

Anubis: Can you see it now!!? Just how powerful I am!!? You can’t stop me!! Power of the Dead will be mine!!

*Sasha begins walking toward Anubis*

Sasha: You’re so full of yourself! You do have a lot of raw power but you lack swiftness and precision!

*Sasha’s expression then becomes very serious*

Sasha: The hits will add up.

Anubis: What exactly are you trying to say—!?

*Anubis is interrupted as Sasha has gotten close via Blur Dash and punches him in the gut. Anubis coughs up blood*

Sasha: That’s what I’m saying.

*Anubis tries to retaliate by stomping to create a shockwave but Sasha is ready and jumps above the shockwave and then kicks Anubis in the face. Anubis stumbles back as Sasha then pierces him in multiple spots with spikes*

*Anubis is in pain and starts trying to punch Sasha repeatedly but Sasha dodges every single punch. Sasha then pierces him with even more spikes*

*Anubis screams in anger*

Anubis: I will not be stopped!!!

*Anubis releases energy from within his body that blows all the spikes out of him but also damages himself too*

Sasha: Damaging yourself to free yourself from the spikes? Interesting move.

*Anubis then begins to reduce his size while still being in his beast form*

Anubis: Perhaps this is more to your liking.

*Kebba rejoins the battle*

Anubis: This is my true form.

*Kebba looks confused*

Kebba: True form? This is just your powered-up form.

Anubis: Perhaps I should have told you sooner, Kebechet. These “beast” forms are our true forms. They are as I was born and as you were born.

Kebba: What!?

Anubis: Surely, you’ve noticed Kebechet that not all deities look like the majority race. We are not among them. Those were forms that we created to blend in. You were given such a form soon after you were born and then raised in that form.

*Kebba is shocked*

Anubis: And now I will take the Power of the Dead!!

*Anubis blur dashes toward Sasha, trying to punch her, but Sasha blocks the punch and then punches him in the face and kicks him back*

Anubis: Your speed really is impressive.

*Anubis summons coffins throughout the field and they open up and fire beams of energy at Sasha. Sasha dodges while Kebba tries to attack Anubis. Kebba releases death energy at him but he dodges it and punches her in her cheek and then grabs her by the throat and holds her up*

*Kebba struggles and can’t break free*

Anubis: If you continue to rebel against me, I will take away your gemstone! You will no longer be the Deity of Death!

*Sasha then shows up and grabs Anubis by the throat and slams him down on the ground, freeing Kebba from his grasp*

Sasha: I’m about to end you!

*Sasha is about to pierce Anubis in the heart with a spike but a coffin forms right behind her and closes her in it. The coffin digs into the ground*

*Anubis stands up*

Anubis: Your power will be extracted while you are in that coffin. You will be stripped of your life in the process.

*Kebba looks concerned*

Kebba: Sasha…

*Anubis walks toward Kebba*

Anubis: I give you one last chance to join back with me, Kebechet. Don’t make a decision that you will regret.

*Kebba looks down at the ground and looks sad*

Kebba: A decision I will regret? You’re right. I don’t want to make a decision I will regret…

*Anubis smiles*

Anubis: I’m glad to see you’ve made the right de—

*Anubis is interrupted as Kebba uppercuts him and then releases death energy into him. Some of Anubis’s skin and fur peel off*

Kebba: How could I ever go with you again!? After all that you put me through!!?

*Anubis looks angered and punches Kebba. She retaliates with her own punch and it hits Anubis right in his face. She tries to grab onto his face with her death energy-covered hand but he brushes her hand to the side using his arm and then hits her with his palm which releases energy that damages her and pushes her back*

*A lot of coffins form and open up. They release beams of energy that all hit Kebba. She screams in pain and falls on the ground on her back*

*Anubis walks up to her*

Anubis: I’ll be taking back that gemstone.

*Anubis bends down to reach for the gemstone but, suddenly, he opens his eyes wide. Anubis looks in front of him and sees giant floating reddish-orange eyes. They look angrily at him*

Anubis: What is this!?

*He hears Sasha’s voice*

Sasha: Your soul wrongfully lingers here. It’s time you return to the grave!

*A giant demonic head then forms around the eyes*

Anubis: Is this Power of the Dead!? How are you still alive!!?

Sasha: I told you! I am the Death Incarnate! I will bring your soul to torment!!

*The giant demonic head opens its mouth and gobbles Anubis*

Scene 21

*Anubis lands on a bed in a torture chamber and chains automatically strap him to it. He struggles against the chains but can’t break free*

Anubis: This can’t be!?

*Sasha appears in the torture chamber but she looks like her normal self instead of her Death Incarnate form. The parts of her skin that peeled off and her left eye that was lost from Kebba’s death energy are still gone*

Sasha: Oh, but it is.

Narrator: Power of the Dead – Torture Chamber.

Sasha: This is the Torture Chamber of my Power of the Dead. You will feel immeasurable pain and you will spend every second wishing you would die.

Anubis: I won’t give in!!

*Sasha stabs Anubis in his abdomen with a spike. Anubis looks like he is in pain*

Anubis: That’s nothing!!

*Sasha grabs Anubis’s thumb on his right hand and bends it until his bone snaps. He looks like he is in even more pain*

Anubis: You won’t break me!!

Sasha: You will break.

*A buzz saw starts lowering down from the ceiling. Sasha smiles sadistically*

Sasha: Let’s do some lab experiments on you.

*Anubis grits his teeth*

Anubis: You will not break me!

*The buzz saw starts carving into his abdomen and he starts screaming in pain. Sasha grabs an electric prod*

Sasha: I’m sure you will find this quite shocking.

*Sasha sticks the electric prod into Anubis’s chest, causing him even more pain, and he screams more*

*Sasha then grabs a drill*

Sasha: I hope you have pain meds for headaches.

*Sasha starts the drill and then thrusts it down onto Anubis’s forehead, causing him even more pain and he is at the point where he is crying*

Anubis: Make it stop!!!!

*Sasha smiles sadistically*

Sasha: I thought you said I wouldn’t break you? Maybe I should add more torture devices in this experiment!

Anubis: No!! Just stop it!!! Make it stop!!!!!!!

Sasha: What’s that? More pain you say?

*Anubis is at his breaking point and screams*

Anubis: No!!!!!!!!!!!!!! End this!!!!!!!!

*Sasha stops the torture devices and pierces Anubis in his chest with her fingers*

Scene 22

*The whole torture chamber vanishes and Sasha and Anubis are standing out in the field (Sasha is in her Death Incarnate form) and her fingers have pierced his chest but his body otherwise doesn’t have the torture chamber wounds*

*Anubis coughs up blood*

Anubis: W- What?

Sasha: I broke you.

Anubis: No!!

*Anubis tries to attack but finds his movement sluggish. Sasha easily lands a punch in his face to make him stumble back*

Sasha: That torture chamber did no real physical damage to you but it destroyed you mentally. Your will to fight me is significantly decreased.

Anubis: No!! I still want the Power of the Dead!!

*Sasha blur dashes to Anubis and lands a barrage of rapid punches before pounding him on the top of his head to knock him face down into the ground*

Sasha: You’re finished. Accept it. You have no more will to fight.

*Anubis slowly tries to stand up but Sasha kicks him which knocks him back*

*Anubis tries to stand up again but is still very slow*

Anubis: I have to fight. Power of the Dead… will be mine.

*Sasha holds out her right arm and clinches her fist*

Sasha: I guess I have to put on one last show for you.

*Sasha blur dashes to Anubis as he finishes standing up and she immediately elbows him hard in the gut which causes him to cough up a lot of blood. She then kicks him up and forwards at an arch. She continues by jumping at an arch to pound him with her fist in the air to send him down at an angle toward the ground and his body starts flopping around like a ragdoll*

*Sasha blur dashes and gets above him. She pounds his body hard enough that a crater forms. She then grabs him by the arm and hurls him straight up into the air*

Sasha: And now the finale.

*Sasha forms a Death Ball and launches it up in the air toward Anubis. It hits Anubis and causes a massive explosion*

*Hayden, Rose, Violet, and Kebba watch in awe at the power that is unleashed*

Scene 23

*After the explosion clears, Anubis falls lifelessly to the ground outside of the crater and his body is in terrible shape. Sasha leaves the crater to confront him and Kebba joins her*

Sasha: It’s over. You can’t even move anymore.

Kebba: Father…

*Anubis is barely alive but he slowly speaks*

Anubis: Kebechet… I… I’m… Sorry…

*Kebba just stares at him with a look of sadness*

Sasha: You’re dead and have no business among the living. It’s time for your soul to move on.

*Sasha gets on one knee and puts her hand on Anubis. She then clinches her hand and Anubis’s body becomes dust and his soul fades away*

*Sasha stands back up. Her Death Incarnate form ends and she returns to her normal appearance. However, the parts of her skin that she lost from the death energy are still gone. That means her skull is visible on the upper left corner of her face with that eye still missing*

*Hayden, Rose, and Violet bring the unconscious Zeth over to her*

Hayden: Mom, your face… It’s still…

Sasha: Yes, I know. There’s nothing that can be done about it.

*Sasha then smiles*

Sasha: I guess I can always go the eyepatch route like your Aunt Zaydra.

Rose: That would cover your eye but your skull is still visible.

Violet: Surely there is something that can be done.

*Kebba stares at them. She has flashbacks of the torment her father put her through*

Kebba: (Thinking) They have what I never did. A loving family life.

*Kebba then takes a deep breath before speaking*

Kebba: There is something that can be done.

*They all look at Kebba*

Kebba: The effects of death energy can be reversed by one thing. The death energy itself, or in this case, me, the one who controlled the death energy that did that to you. I can undo all the damage that my death energy did to you. I can’t undo the damage done by anything that wasn’t caused by death energy though. Your lost skin and left eye will be restored.

Sasha: Kebba… That’s a big change of heart.

Kebba: You broke my father’s will to fight but he broke my will to hate you. After feeling like my hate for you was nothing more than a product of his desire for the Power of the Dead, I just can’t hate you anymore. I must repent for my sins… The cost will be massive.

Sasha: What do you mean?

Kebba: Undoing the death energy will cost me my life.

*Sasha and the kids open their eyes wide*

Sasha: You don’t have to do this!

Kebba: No! I must! I have spent my life living to hate you… To kill you… That was wrong. Now, I have nothing to live here for anymore. The least I can do is undo the wrongs I put on you.

*Kebba claps her hands together as her energy starts flowing around her body. Death energy starts flowing out from the places on Sasha where her skin peeled off and it flows onto Kebba. Sasha’s skin and left eye are restored. Now, Kebba’s own skin and fur starts coming off*

Kebba: I will die knowing that I did the right thing. You have a loving family that I never had. Cherish them forever.

*Kebba becomes nothing but bones and then her skeleton collapses to the ground as Sasha and the kids can do nothing but watch*

Scene 24

Narrator: Later.

*Kebba’s remains have been buried and a tombstone erected. Zeth is now awake*

Zeth: I know I was unconscious when all this happened but I’m surprised there were any redeeming qualities about her.

*Sasha gets on one knee in front of the tombstone*

Sasha: Her dark path wasn’t her fault. I regretfully put it into motion and then her father took advantage of that and put it into overdrive. Her life was a sad one.

*Sasha plants a flower in front of the tombstone and then stands up*

Hayden: So, are we done here?

Sasha: Not yet. I have one more thing I want to do before we go back.

Rose: What is it?

Sasha: I want to go back “there”.

Violet: “There”?

Sasha: The place where I got the Power of the Dead from.

*Sasha looks at Zeth*

Sasha: Stay here with them. I won’t be gone for too long.

Zeth: Okay. Whatever you need to do there, good luck.

*Sasha nods her head*

Scene 25

*Sasha heads into the fog that she once headed into as a little girl. She hears deathly moans*

Various Deathly Moans: She, the bringer of death, has returned! Bring death to them all! Death flows all around you! You’ve given death to many! We are honored!

*Sasha continues walking through the fog*

Sasha: You all certainly sound more positive toward me this time.

Various Deathly Moans: Come this way, Death Goddess! Return to the tombstone which gave you power! Speak to the source of your power!

Sasha: That’s exactly what I came here to do.

*Sasha eventually gets back to the tombstone with the coffin emblem on it. She stares at it for a moment*

Sasha: I have questions and I want answers.

*The tombstone glows and Sasha then hears a new Deathly Moan voice that sounds like a demonic young girl*

Voice: We have long believed that you would one day return here. That day has come. We will gladly provide you with answers to any questions that you have.

Sasha: I will start with a big one. What exactly are you?

Voice: That is a great question. One that also requires a complicated and hard-to-understand answer. It would be wrong to tell you what “I” am. It’s not an “I”. It’s a “we”. We are a collection of death.

Sasha: Collection of death?

Voice: Yes. When the soul of someone that died leaves their body, some energy from that soul gets left behind as residue. But that energy is also “dead”.

Sasha: Then you’re the same as…!?

Voice: That’s right. The death energy that powers your Power of the Dead.

Sasha: But that energy doesn’t have a voice!

Voice: Once again, you are correct. We are given voice by those known as the Gods of Death.

Sasha: Earth’s God of Death gave you voice?

Voice: Not Earth’s specifically. This was done on the Divine World. The Gods of Death of the Divine World have given each world a source to obtain the Power of the Dead. For Earth, that is us.

Sasha: What exactly is the purpose of the Power of the Dead?

Voice: That purpose was to drain the worlds of their death energy. Too much death energy can cause actual death just by being in it. In other words, one can use the Power of the Dead to become the Death Messiah.

Sasha: So then the death water is a major build up of death energy?

Voice: That is correct. However, death water is not a natural build up of death energy. It was a man-made build up. Death water was originally created in the Divine World as a style of execution for criminals. They would be dropped into a large pool of death water as onlookers watched and as the criminal was stripped of all their organic matter until nothing was left of them but their bones. However, this style of execution had flaws as if the criminal had a strong enough death desire, they would not die by the death water and may even have felt empowered by it. That style was then abandoned.

Sasha: What is the difference between my Power of the Dead and Kebba’s death energy?

Voice: That question has a very simple answer. Kebechet handled the death energy directly. Your Power of the Dead uses death energy as a source to power it. You could say that it is filtered. Handling death energy directly comes with high risk. When she undid the effects of it on you, she committed a death energy “sin”. Undoing death energy and bringing it back to yourself is the exact opposite of desiring death and so it tore her apart until nothing was left but her bones.

Sasha: She did that for me…

Voice: Such is the risk of handling death energy.

Sasha: I have one more question. Anubis spent his life trying to get the Power of the Dead and never obtained it even though he lived in this area of the Dimension of Deities. Then he focused on trying to take it from me. Could he have actually done that?

Voice: Anubis had desire but he was ultimately a fool. He could not obtain the Power of the Dead because he was not worthy. There is nothing he could have done to strip the power from you. You are worthy. You are the rightful holder of the Power of the Dead and nothing, not even death, could strip you of the power.

Sasha: I see. Thank you for answering my questions.

Voice: As the holder of the Power of the Dead. You are welcome back here anytime. We can tell, you still have a big role to play.

Scene 26

*Sasha meets back up with Zeth and the kids*

Sasha: I’m back. Thank you for waiting for me.

Zeth: So what did you do?

Sasha: I will tell you later. I think we need to leave this place. The others are likely worried sick about us.

*Zeth smiles and nods*

Zeth: Right.

Scene 27

*Sasha, Zeth, and the kids return to Heaven. Harmona rushes toward them and gives them all a big hug*

Harmona: I’m so glad you’re all okay! I hope you didn’t have to go through too much trouble!

*Zeth and Sasha look at each other and then look back at Harmona*

Sasha: It was a difficult situation. I’ll brief you on what happened after we gather everyone.

Scene 28

*Sasha has gathered Harmona, Zaydra, Zenfaro, Josh, Kurt, Joe, Emily, Keith, and three angel advisors in a conference room. Sasha stands at the front of the room with Zeth near her*

Sasha: So that’s how it all came to an end. If not for Kebba’s change of heart, I may have left the battle with permanent damage to my body and especially my face.

Harmona: That would have been very bad if it couldn’t be reversed.

Kurt: There’s one thing I’m curious about that you didn’t mention. What became of the coffin gemstone?

Sasha: I buried it with Kebba’s remains. I don’t think anyone needs that kind of power. We’ll do fine without a Deity of Death.

Josh: I guess the moral of this story is to never piss off my sister. It sounds like you were brutal toward them.

*Sasha laughs*

Sasha: You could say that, yes. Does anyone else have any questions?

*No one else has anything to ask so they all remain silent*

Sasha: All right. This meeting is over.

*Zeth and Sasha are the first ones to leave the conference room and then they get jumped by their three kids*

Hayden: You should have let us in on the meeting!

Zeth: Sorry, kiddo. Adults only. Especially when handling potentially confidential information.

*Hayden looks annoyed*

Hayden: I bet you were a part of these meetings when you were my age.

Zeth: Listen, Hayden. When I was your age, I was in the middle of a 42-year-long coma.

Hayden: Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

Violet: I think one of these days, you should just sit us down and give us your full life story.

Sasha: Sure. We can do that. Maybe we will even have it written out

*Sasha chuckles*

Zeth: And whoever does it will be sitting in front of a computer for years getting that typed out.

*Zeth laughs*

Rose: Can we get some food? I’m starving!

Sasha: What do you want?

Rose: Some nice juicy meat!

Sasha: All right. Let’s go.

*They head outside as a family. Sasha suddenly has a flashback to Kebba’s final words*

Kebba: You have a loving family that I never had. Cherish them forever.

*Sasha looks up at the sky of Heaven and smiles*

Sasha: I am so blessed to have this family.

*The camera then starts zooming out until the screen goes black, ending the side story movie*
