Chapter 581: Dusk, The Darkness Demon

Narrator: Zeth and Sasha have just defeated Herbigon in their challenge battle.

*Herbigon sits up*

Herbie: Your power is as advertised.

Zeth: You’re pretty strong yourself.

Sasha: This would have been a difficult battle in a one-on-one. I’m surprised you weren’t a Council of Demons member.

*Sasha thinks back to every demon that was a part of Dakame’s Council of Demons*

Herbie: There are more super strong demons than the ones on the Council of Demons. Dakame just picked the ones that she liked the most to be on the council. Honestly, I did not like Dakame so I’m glad you took her out.

*Herbie looks at Sasha*

Herbie: I wouldn’t mind working under you though if you become the Dark Goddess.

Sasha: I’ll keep that under consideration.

*Suddenly some spikes are launched at them from the trees and they have to dodge*

Zeth: Spike demons again!?

Narrator: Spike Demon – Nil.

*This spike demon is bulkier than the other two and has spikes coming out of his head like horns*

Nil: My name is Nil! You killed my followers! I do not take kindly to that!

Sasha: And you’re making the same mistake as those other two did.

*Sasha gets ready to fight but Herbigon holds his arm out to his right to stop her*

Herbie: Allow me to take care of this one so I can show you how I fight when I intend to kill.

*Herbie grins*

Sasha: Very well.

*Zeth and Sasha stand back*

Nil: You stand with Dakame’s enemies? Then you shall parish too!

*Herbie makes his arms become tree trunks*

Nil: That won’t stand a chance against my drilling spikes!

*Nil launches down toward Herbie with a drilling spike coming out of each hand. As Nil gets close, Herbie thrusts his arms forward and meets Nil’s hand spikes head on*

Nil: You’re done for!

*The trunk arm and the hand spikes make contact. Nil tries to drill into the trunks and smirks as he does so. However, his spike is not able to pierce the trunk. Soon, plant vines come out of the trunk and wrap around Nil’s arms. Sharp thorns come out from the vines and pierce the skin of Nil’s arms*

*Nil screams in pain and Herbie grins*

Herbie: How’s that? Those are some real spikes for you.

*Suddenly, the cap on Herbie’s head lifts up and a monstrous plant is growing out from his head. The plant has a mouth and is salivating*

Herbie: Brace yourself. This won’t be pleasant.

*Nil looks terrified as the monstrous plant looks down on him*

Nil: No way!? You keep something like that underneath your cap!?

*Nil tries to pull back but can’t as the vines wrapped around his arms are preventing him from doing so*

Nil: No, no, no, no, nooooo!!!

*The plant chomps down on Nil’s head and rips it off before swallowing it. Herbie’s vines let go of Nil’s arms and then his decapitated body falls lifelessly to the ground*

*The monstrous plant goes back into Herbie’s head with the cap back on his head. His arms return to normal*

Sasha: That was very impressive!

Zeth: I’m glad you didn’t try to use that on us.

*Herbie grins like he enjoys the compliment and scratches his neck*

Herbie: It was nothing. I wanted to prove my worth to the future Dark Goddess.

*Suddenly, the area starts becoming darker*

Zeth: What’s going on?

Sasha: This isn’t natural.

Herbie: It’s him…

*Someone enters the area. It’s a male demon*

Narrator: Darkness Demon of the Forest Terror – Dusk.

*Dusk has flat and smooth dark gray hair with bangs that go down the left side of his forehead. The iris color of his eyes is yellow. He has pointy ears. He has a calm, almost down-looking expression on his face that makes him seem like he is both serious and not serious at the same time. He has casual clothes on*

Herbie: What do you want?

Dusk: I was just passing by and wanted to see what my good friend was up to.

Zeth: Who is this guy?

Herbie: His name is Dusk. He is a darkness demon. He is also my rival.

*Herbie looks at Dusk*

Herbie: You can go away. My matters don’t concern you.

*Dusk looks disapprovingly at Herbie*

Dusk: I’m not here to cause trouble. I could hear fighting going on from the distance. What happened?

Herbie: Fine… These two are Zeth and Sasha, the ones that killed the Dark Goddess. I challenged them to a fight to test my own strength.

*Dusk rubs his chin*

Dusk: Interesting. Yes, very interesting. Well, then I would like to challenge them as well.

*Dusk smiles*

Dusk: Let’s fight.

Narrator: Dusk enters! He wants to fight! What powers does this darkness demon have?
