Alden felt his skill level rise as he fought wolf generals. Including himself in the fights gave him more options and the wolves were easily dispatched. He just made sure that he didn't have to do much work and he found that he had after a few hours of moving through the jungle, finally acquired level 5.

"Finally..." Alden said, happiness evident in him. He was finally ready to face the boss. Alden began to wonder where he should place his skill points. He had waited to go from level 3 to level 5 until he distributed his points and now he felt he was ready. He had acquired +10 points after leveling up and he could now create up to 5 puppets.

Alden couldn't help but once again acknowledge how lucky he was to have acquired the system. Generally, he would have had to wait until he was around 40 to reach level 3 or 4 and he would not have been able to raise his stats at all. He would have merely been able to have raised his level. Although raising one's level meant they could use more puppets, most puppeteers preferred to use less because the difficulty of controlling a large number of puppets was high. Having a low energy stat would have meant that Alden could use a higher level of [PUPPET MASTER].

Using a higher level of skill meant that the puppets used would be of a higher quality and having powerful puppets meant one could gain more [EXP] by killing not only a large number of monsters but higher quality monsters.

But having the system allowed Alden not only to raise his skill level faster but he also acquired points that could raise his stats. Alden could use a higher level of skill and become stronger, and faster. At that moment he also discovered that the system was giving him new skills. Alden broke himself out of his thoughts and focused on distributing his points.

LEVEL: 5

AGILITY: 12

STRENGTH: 14

DURABILITY: 10

ENERGY: 21

STAMINA: 8

Alden looked at his stats, satisfied with how it looked. Alden had grown much stronger since beginning the mission. He hoped he was strong enough to face the boss of the dungeon. Alden raised his hand and conjured another puppet, he would need all the help he could to take down the puppet. Alden knew he would not find it too difficult to control 3 puppets because he had a high-energy stat. Having a huge energy stat meant improving one's control over the puppets. That is why famous S-class puppeteers like Andrew Parker of the USA could conjure and control a large number of powerful puppets. Andrew Garfield could conjure up to thousands of A-grade puppets and control them with much ease. Alden hoped to reach that level one day, with his ability to hack the system.

Alden turned around to face the direction which he would have to take to face the boss of the dungeon. it would be a journey straight to the middle of the forest, a journey to the king.

Alden strolled through the forest, allowing 3 puppets to do the work of clearing the path for him. He had his hands behind his back and the stick was clasped in his palms.

Soon Alden found a large hill and at the bottom of the hill was a large opening leading into a cave. Alden looked at the stick in his hands and wondered whether it would do any good but he decided that from that point onwards the stick was useless. Alden threw it away and decided that if he decided to use a staff as a future weapon he could just get a better one. "From now on, only my fists can help me."

Alden walked towards the hole before him, a puppet on either side of him and one directly in front of him. He was at the cent of the triangular formation and he was ready to fight. Something told him from that point onwards, plans would not work against his opponent. The stronger opponent that would win, it was that simple, that straightforward.

Alden entered the dark cave to find that ahead of him, on a raised rock platform, was a large wolf. The wolf was almost the size of a full-grown buffalo and it had a melange grey fur coat. There were streaks of white that ran from above its eyebrows up until its back.

Its eyes, which were fixed on Alden, were glowing blue and they held an intelligent look in them. No, not just intelligence, It was the gaze of one who had been through a countless number of vicissitudes, a gaze filled with a rich experience that no novice would be able to replicate. It felt strange seeing such eyes on an animal.

On seeing Alden, the wolf got up from where it lay, its movements were cool and relaxed and it seemed to know things that even Alden didn't know. Alden read its stats, curious to see how strong it was.

SHADOW WOLF BOSS

ATTACK: GOOD

DEFENCE: OKAY

MOVEMENT: EXCELLENT

"It doesn't seem like anything special, I wonder why it's the boss," Alden mumbled as his puppets surrounded the wolf. Alden was ready to go all out in this battle.

Alden stared at the wolf that was walking towards him, slowly, its eyes fixed on him.

"Let's do this," Alden said, cracking his knuckles.
