Shadow wolf boss II

Alden kept his eyes on his opponent and sent two puppets at the wolf. Both of them made the ground shake as they rushed toward their target. Alden intended to use the trap he had been using up until that moment, he would manipulate and use the space to draw in the wolf. Then when the wolf moved into a place where his slower puppets could land an attack, he would allow them to attack.

Simple was the way.

But his plans did not go as expected. Instead of jumping into the free space to avoid the puppet, the wolf used its shoulder to knock into and attack one of the slow puppets, causing it to fall over. It attacked the other puppet next, it jumped high into the air and bit into its head. Surprisingly, it bit a significant chunk of the puppet's head off.

"Good thing puppets don't need a head to work," Alden joked to himself. (Staying locked up in a room for quite a while had its side effects). Alden was surprised that the wolf was not avoiding the puppets and was instead facing them head-on. He noticed that the wolves were avoiding the puppets and trying to attack him and he guessed the wolves knew he was controlling the puppets.

Alden sent his third puppet after the approaching wolf and he followed it closely behind hoping to make use of any opening he found when the wolf fought the puppet. He placed most of his concentration on that single puppet and attacked the wolf. The wolf was incredibly fast and Alden found that his slow puppet could not land a single hit on the wolf but was instead receiving damage. After damaging one of the puppet's legs, the wolf then came towards Alden, ready to bring him down.

"Fine then, if you want," Alden said also approaching the wolf.

[GRAVITY (lv 2) ACTIVATED]

Alden saw a blue glow cover his entire arm and he felt it grow heavy. He had already swung his arm and when it made contact, his punch which weighed tons almost threw the wolf off of its feet. The punch was almost instant and the wolf did not see it coming. The wolf avoided Alden's next punches however and Alden had to deactivate [GRAVITY].

"Besides the first punch which landed, the wolf has read my every attack so far," Alden thought as he missed another punch. The wolf made use of the large opening he left and darted toward him before attempting to bite into him. Alden felt its teeth sinking into his thigh and he immediately activated [GLITCH]. In an instant, Alden appeared next to his puppets who were on the other side of the cave.

"Get him!" Alden commanded before checking his bleeding leg. From the massive bite mark on his leg, Alden was sure the wolf would have bitten a large chunk of his leg off, had he not gotten away quickly.

Alden waited for the wolf to get occupied with fighting the puppets before reactivating [GLITCH]. Alden instantly appeared above the wolf and swung his fist at the wolf's head, the wolf dodged Alden and gave him a side eye as if it were saying, "That was part of my calculations."

"But was this a part of your calculations?" Thought Alden as he willed a puppet to grab ahold of the wolf. The puppet had its arms wrapped around the wolfs neck and its legs around its stomach. The lock in which the puppet had gotten the wolf boss into was an inescapable one. The wolf tried to struggle but Alden already had [GRAVITY] activated. He began to launch a flurry of attacks on the wolf.

Finally, after Alden had nearly finished all of his Energy, a notification popped up.

"Sweet," Alden said, a toothy smile appearing on his face.
