Chapter 2:

Paranormal Activity But Only I Can See It

Horror House!

I awoke with a sore back, my muscles straining against the unforgiving mattress. It was as if the bed had been assembled haphazardly with discarded scraps from a junkyard.

I decided to indulge in a few more minutes of rest, but my respite was interrupted by Chihiro's sudden awakening. She yanked the sheets from my bed, causing my body to contort into an awkward and eccentric position.

She left the room with a malevolent grin on her face, skipping with a childlike glee. I closed my eyes, assuming she was merely acting out of foolishness, but I was quickly proven wrong.

A gush of water erupted from a blue pail and drenched me, soaking my hair and leaving me shivering from the sudden cold. The previously still air now swirled around me, creating a chill that permeated to my core.

"Chihiro, what the hell? Go away!" I shouted at her in a fit of rage. She chuckled and rolled on the floor as if she had accomplished something monumental. She tossed and turned, yelling happily, behaving as if she had won a grand prize.

I was about to rise from the bed to confront her when she darted away like a hyperactive feline.

But then, something caught my attention. The door to our room was locked from the inside. How had Chihiro entered and left so easily? I sat up, perplexed and a little frightened.

As I surveyed the room, I noticed that objects were moving on their own, as if an unseen force was pushing them. A sense of unease filled the air, and I could hear strange whispers emanating from the corners of the room.

Suddenly, a frigid touch brushed against my shoulder. I spun around, but there was no one there. My heart raced as I realized that something paranormal was happening.

I attempted to leave the bed, but my legs refused to move, as if an entity or force was holding me down. Panic set in as I struggled to break free from the invisible restraints.

Then, as abruptly as it had begun, the activity ceased. The whispers faded away, the objects ceased their motion, and the chill dissipated. I was left alone in a quiet and still room.

I never did determine what had caused the paranormal activity that day.

However, one thing was certain.

We were greeted by the ghouls themselves...hehe.
