Chapter 622: Return To Mars

*The Stargazer is flying through space and Mars is in view*

Narrator: It’s only been 6 hours since the ship, Stargazer, took off from Earth. It’s much faster than the previous 6-month journey it took to get to Mars before.

*The ship soon lands on Mars as officials from Mars gather outside the ship. Ralay is among them*

Ralay: Is that from Earth? Why would they come back so soon?

*The main door to the ship opens up and a staircase drops down to the ground. Zeth and Sasha are the first to come out*

Ralay: So, it really is them. But why?

*Kurt, Joe, and Emily also come out with them. The five heroes meet with Ralay*

Ralay: It’s good to see you two again. But what brings you back to Mars?

Sasha: We’ve decided to look into the abyss. We’re going to be exploring the galaxy, looking for signs of the abyss on other planets.

Zeth: There was an abyss user on Earth, who despite dying, never showed up to our God of Death. That is concerning.

Ralay: I understand. What is it that you need to do here on Mars?

Sasha: We need to see the pieces of that pyramid that were recovered from that dimension. We have one with us who can track magic and we believe that these pyramids have importance and Kurt can track other pyramids.

Ralay: Good idea. I’ll take you to them. But first, I’m calling Liana so she can be here for this.

Narrator: Later.

*The five heroes, as well as Ralay and Liana, go into a lab where they have the pieces of the pyramid in containers*

Ralay: It’s been a while since we have been in here since we haven’t been able to figure anything out about the pyramid.

Liana: Nothing has seemed out of the normal about the pieces themselves. It’s unlikely they mean anything without being the full pyramid.

*Liana opens the container containing the pieces of the pyramid. Kurt walks up to the container and picks up a piece*

Kurt: All right, let me get a feel for the magic of this pyramid piece.

*Kurt closes his eyes and focuses. In his head, he develops a link with the abyss magic of the pyramid and then a mental image of it appears. Kurt opens his eyes*

Kurt: I got it. I can track this magic now.

Zeth: Good job.

Narrator: Later. Back at the ship.

*The heroes are about to board the ship*

Ralay: We don’t know what awaits you out there but we wish you good luck.

Liana: Just don’t do anything too reckless.

Sasha: Thanks for the support.

Zeth: We’ll be sure to tell you all about our adventures in the galaxy.

Joe: Zeth and Sasha have been here before but the rest of us got to see Mars for the first time and we’d love to come back!

Emily: It’s awesome that Heaven and Hell are on good terms on this planet.

Kurt: Thanks for helping us out!

Ralay: You’re very welcome!

Liana: We will always help out our friends!

Zeth: It’s time. Let’s get going.

*The five heroes go up the stairs and walk back into the ship*

*Ralay and Liana smile as the ship’s staircase retracts and the door closes*

Ralay And Liana: Good luck, guys!

*The ship flies off into space and continues forward past Mars*

Narrator: Three days then pass. It is now December 21st, Year 14,197. The Stargazer finally exits the solar system.

*The ship is flying out of the solar system. Zeth and Sasha stand by the pilot, Jeff, as the ship finishes flying out of the solar system. Zeth has his arms crossed with a serious expression on his face*

Zeth: Here we go. Off into completely unknown territory.

Sasha: We need to be ready for anything.

Jeff: I will be ready for anything! We’ll get to any destination safely!!

*The ship is now flying into space between solar systems*

Narrator: Leaving the solar system into the unknown! Is the unknown something to be feared, or something to be excited about?
