#022 Anniversary

Elias looks up at the bright sky and his heart swells with warmth. The weather today is perfect for the anniversary. There is a spring in his step as he enters through the gates. After all, with every step, he is getting closer to the love of his life.

He kneels down on the soft grass when he reaches his destination. Elisabeth is not there. At least, not like she used to be.

“I wish you were here, Lizzy. You would have loved today,” Elias whispers as he looks up at the headstone of his deceased wife. “I miss you.”
