Journey To The East - (Season 1 Finale)

(A month passes by later as all of the fighting was silent for a while now and during so, the estimates of deaths across Hong Kong was now calculated as civilians were protesting on their safety due to Bai Zhen whom was now locked away in a maximum detention center while being updated on the casualties of Hong Kong.)

"News Reporter: The damages continue to remain staggering. As all remaining civilians who survived the catastrophe blames Bai Zhen for the vicious Ghoul attack on Hong Kong and across China. The Mercenary Association Leader, Jiia Yueja has yet to respond to the public on the issue going forth. As for the casualties, the confirmed count is in for there are over... 600,970 deaths, 73,184 infected humans and countless injured, including most of China's Mercenary defense lines and lastly, over thousands have been gone missing."

(As Bai was then curled in a ball on a bed, rethinking everything he was told, he was then brought out of his cell for recess.)

"Detention Guard: ZHEN! Move it! It's recess time!"

(As Bai does not bother to react, he'd leave his cell with even more bruises and wounds on him than before then walked around the detention center while being watched. Bai was then seeing sitting outside against the wall, writing in a journal of his after his imprisonment.)

-A Month Ago-

(The Mercenary Association was cleaning out and condemning Bai Zhen's home as all of Xue's stuff along with his was repossessed while, the civilians and nearby Mercenaries all witnessed Bai Zhen arrested and transported to Hong Kong's maximum security detention center as Citadel along with The Big 3 made the public announcement regarding Bai Zhen.)

"Citadel: Until we have full detail and information on Bai Zhen and what he truly is, he will not be allowed visitors, care packages or any treatment. As we treat all imprisoned Ghouls, Bai Zhen will be given the same punishment."

-Now-

(Bai was then called to be back inside after 15 minutes of recess was over then was thrown back into his cell forcefully with the door slamming behind him. Bai then crawls back into his bed and sheds tears of sadness for the outcome of his existence. Meanwhile in the west parts of Central Hong Kong was the hospital where most of the major and minor Mercenaries are recovering.)

"Jia: ...Ngh.."
"Cheng: Comrades! Yi has awoken..!"
"Lian: H-Hi.. Yi.."

(Jia would notice the injured Disciplinary Committee of Jingyi Grand visiting Jia who was no longer a Blessing user due to the Triple Ghoul deactivating her channels.)

"Peng: How are you holding up..?"
"Jia: ...I'm.. okay.. I just.. feel nauseous..."
"Peng: They did say the sword slashed through your chest, of all people, the Triple Ghoul slashed you."
"Qiu: Unfortunately, it's a shame we could not get to fight with you quick enough... We're sorry.."
"Jia: No.. No.. It's okay... I ran out myself.. to save Bai..."

(She'd look around the hospital room and notices an empty bed next to her.)

"Jia: ...Where is Bai..?"

(The group was silent for they did not know how to tell her what they heard.)

"Lian: ..."
"Peng: ..."
"Cheng: ..."
"Jia: ...Guys...?"
"Qiu: ...Zhen was.. arrested by the Mercenary Association for affiliation with the Triple Ghoul."
"Jia: ...I see... I did hear everything... s-so.. I think I can't.. blame them for locking him away.."
"Peng: Many believes Bai Zhen is innocent, many believes he deserves execution."
"Jia: ...I need to-"

(Jia tries to sit up but immediately fell back down on her pillow, noticing the bruise on her chest but was also scared that her blessing was deactivated.)

"Jia: G-Guys..?! I.. I can't activate my blessing..!"
"All: Huh?!?"
"Peng: How is that possible..?!"

(The door was then knocked on then opened as Kokei was visiting Jia to check her condition.)

"Kokei: How is she?"
"Qiu: She's alright.. But she can't use her- wait, who are you?!"
"Kokei: Relax, I'm one of the exchange Mercenaries, Kokei Uesaka."
"Peng: Wait.. I remember you! You're one of those Mercenaries who stopped the Deadfall incident a while ago!"
"Kokei: Someone's done their homework. Yes, that's me. But thankfully after so many years, we finally have some information on the Triple Ghoul."
"Cheng: If I may be so bold to ask, why can't our friend Yi not activate her blessing?"
"Kokei: The Triple Ghoul has a curse that deactivates anyone's blessing temporarily or permanently."

(The group was then in shock on the potential outcome.)

"Jia: W-Wait... Permanently..?!"
"Kokei: Yes. But thankfully within a month, we've managed to find out how he'd need to damage your blessing in order for it to be permanent. The Triple Ghoul would have to copy your ability then damage you with it."
"Peng: So he's able to mirror abilities and shut off yours if he damages you enough?"
"Kokei: Yes. It's imperative that when in combat, you fight the Triple Ghoul with extreme caution. Do not let him take your blessing."
"Qiu: So it's only a stab wound.. right...?"
"Kokei: Miss Yi's blessing is temporarily shut off. She'll be able to use it again but she'll have to get used to being "blessingless" for a while."
"Jia: I see..."
"Peng: Is there anything else you guys picked up?"
"Kokei: It's classified information, but regarding that you all are technically Mercenaries, I'm willing to tell you. The Triple Ghoul has copied and stored blessings, curses and spirits within himself and there is no telling how many he truly has. During the fighting against him, Negan Zhihao and his Phantom Blessing was able to sense how many blessings he has. He has over forty thousand blessings copied and stored. There's no telling how many of them are actually deadlier than the rest."

(As everyone was continuing to listen while feeling scared, Jia was then wondering how is Bai handling all of this pressure right now. Meanwhile in the detention center, Bai was still curled in a ball on his bed until a small hatch in his cell's door opened and Bai's food was slid to him which was almost nothing good to eat.)

"Bai: ..."

(As Bai notices a metal knife and a plastic fork, he'd take the metal knife and tries to slit his throat but fails for the knife snaps at the hard impact of his Ghoul-like skin then curls back into a ball, forgetting about eating and instead going to sleep. As time flies, alarms were going off inside the detention center as Bai opens one eye and notices the alarms and red flashing lights outside his cell as he then kicks his forgotten food tray across the room as Bai then notices his cell door becoming indented with punches as one of the detention guards was then blasted through the door and crashes into the wall as Bai notices a strong individual with long and pointy hair walking to him.)

"Ryuketsu: Are you Bai Zhen?"
"Bai: ...Who's asking..?"
"Ryuketsu: Let's just say, I'm doing a favor for someone who swings a bat and loves to trash Ghouls."

(As Bai immediately knew who it was, he'd stand up and follows Ryuketsu to the exit as Bai watched him slaughter every detention guard in his path. As the two then makes it outside, Negan with a pissed off expression on his face walked towards Bai Zhen and swings his bat once but by one inch, Bai looked at the cold wood and sharp barbed wire, ready to collide with his head without hesitation.)

"Negan: Depending on what you answer will determine if I want to kill you or not. What happened to Xue and did you kill her or not?"
"Bai: ...She pointed a gun at me, but then shot herself in the head."
"Negan: Did you kill her. Yes. Or. No."
"Bai: No."

(Negan stares at Bai directly into his eyes as he then puts his bat down and sighs as he believed him but at the same time felt defeated he couldn't save both Xue and Bai.)

"Negan: Damn it... Kid, we can't stay here."
"Bai: What do you mean?"
"Negan: The entire Mercenary Association blacklisted you from Hong Kong and potentially, all of China. So, we're leaving."
"Bai: ...What about.. What about my school..?"
"Negan: ...You're being transferred. A new academy in Kumagawa, Japan has agreed to take you in as a transfer student."
"Bai: ...What about you...?"
"Negan: Kid, someone's got to take care of you, so of course I'm going."
"Bai: ...Thank you. But... Negan, what are we going to do...?"
"Negan: ...I don't know. Clearly you're not strong enough to fight the Triple Ghoul, especially with the weapons you have now."
"Bai: I lost everything in a month... I lost my sister, I lost my best friend, I lost my friends, I lost my school, I lost my trust from the Mercenaries, I even lost respect from you..."

(As Bai was about to break down, Negan patted his head.)

"Negan: When did I say I no longer respected you?"
"Bai: ...So... How do I go to Japan now..?"
"Negan: We'll go to the airport and leave for Japan the normal way But first, we'll return to your house and collect what you need. We won't be coming back."
"Bai: ...Fine."

(As Bai was about to thank Ryuketsu for freeing him, he already was gone to hunt Ghouls and Mercenaries. Meanwhile, Bai and Negan returned to Bai's now condemned house as Negan and Bai then morphs through the lead walls and enters the house, collecting their items as Bai then enters his sister's room, knowing most of her stuff wasn't touched as he then noticed her open laptop and logs into it, the screen then reveals an almost finished college project for her major that was a month late.)

"Bai: ...I'm sorry you couldn't finish your project..."
"Negan: Kid, the lead walls are gonna scan the house in three minutes, get whatever you need and let's leave."

(Bai then goes to his room and closes his sister's door, going back to his room and collecting whatever he could need and quickly meets with Negan to escape the house before it was scanned for intrusion. Negan then found his car keys and starts his car which was still working as Bai then gets in and closes the door behind him. The two then pulls off as Bai looked back at the house, knowing he's leaving everything behind. Meanwhile, a group of High-Class Mercenaries were tracking Negan's car in order to track Bai as well.)

"Negan: Bai. You okay?"
"Bai: ....No..."
"Negan: ...Listen. We'll get through this alright kid? The Triple Ghoul may have said there's too many Ghouls out here. But we'll defeat every last Ghoul if we have to."
"Bai: How..?"
"Negan: Don't you have that trainer of yours in your blessing?"
"Bai: Huh..?"
"Negan: Every blessing user has a trainer in their realm, why do you think blessings are so overpowered once mastered?"
"Bai: ...She and I... Had a fight."
"Negan: ...Kid. The one thing you don't want to do is piss off your teacher. Now you see why you need to focus on training, right?"
"Bai: I do. And I feel like a complete jackass for what I said to her."
"Negan: Once we get out of China and head to Kumagawa, you got four hours to talk and make up with her."
"Bai: Four hours?"
"Negan: I've booked a flight to Japan which leaves tonight at seven. It's five now so we have time to eat but it gives you time to make up with her."
"Bai: I see. So... who or what was that person that freed me from my cell?"
"Negan: ...That was Ryuketsu. Also known as a the Mercenary hunter and Ghoul killer. They had a difficult time dealing with him in Japan, so he was transferred to China to be exterminated. Unfortunately... the laser wasn't strong enough to kill him."

(Bai was then a little nervous at who he is.)

"Negan: But don't worry, Ryuketsu knows not to target you or me, so we're fine."
"Bai: ...Okay."
"Negan: ...Before I forget. Once we get to Japan, you will be meeting stronger adversaries. But the main one you'll want to focus on meeting to get on his good side is a man known by his nickname, The Eastern Quake. Or his real name, Jikouji Norikata."
"Bai: What is he like..?"
"Negan: Norikata has two blessings. The Quake Blessing and the Earth Blessing. He openly admitted his trainer was the God of Earth, Dojin. Many has tried to come for his blessing for the chance to control and manipulate the Earth into a hellhole. But Norikata has a keen sense and he's not one to hold back in a fight."
"Bai: Whoa..."
"Negan: But. He's also one of the seven Mercenaries that also managed to survive a war against Ghouls, when the Triple Ghoul was in his prime three years ago."

(Bai's heart immediately jumped at the truth being thrown at him until he noticed two Mercenaries blocking Negan's path as he sensed hostile intentions from them which forces Negan to speed up the car to run them down before they'd try to attack the car. As Negan runs through the trap, he'd notice a trail of fire following the back of the car as it's gas tank was sabotaged which forces Negan to speed faster down the open streets while being chased by three other Mercenaries.)

"Negan: Hold on tight kid, we got company."
"Bai: Alright..!"

(As Negan drifts and speeds down the streets, he'd type in a code for his car to enter automatic defense mode along as he continued to drive at high speeds to the airport. As a storming Mercenary in front of them rushes towards the car, Negan manipulates his dark phantom-like shadow to hold onto Bai and wrap him in darkness to brace for impact as Negan then splits his car in half after pulling a lever underneath his seat, allowing the incoming Mercenary to miss and Negan remerges his car back into one as the ten Mercenaries then regroups as Negan and Bai gets out of the car.)

"Negan: Ten Mercenaries. Two Mid-High Class, five Mid-Class and three Low-Class. Should be a piece of cake. Bai, stay back and don't bother fighting, you're a liability without proper training."
"Bai: ...Understood."

(Negan then swings his baseball barbed wire bat with a smirk on his face then smacks it on the ground as he awaits the first Mercenary to step up to him. Suddenly, a vicious presence appears in the distance Negan's long old friend Silke rushing past Negan and attacking three of the Mercenaries without a second of hesitation.)

"Silke: HOW DARE YOU FILTHY APES ATTACK MY NEGAN!"

(As Negan smiled at his unexpected backup, he and Silke began to fight five each as Silke was smiling at the fact she was fighting side by side by her longtime best friend and crush as Negan easily handles his five with only his bat and martial arts as one of Negan's five was kicked across to Negan's car and the Mercenary then crawls to grab Bai as Bai then pulls out one of his revolvers and blasts the Mercenary with compressed energy and kills one of the ten as two more rouge Mercenaries began to attack Bai as he jumped out of harm's away and summons his Nichirin blades and fight off his two attackers.)

"Bai (Thinking): I need to remember my training... Please don't fail me.."

(As Bai remembers holding the two blades in a specific form then swings and grips them tightly, the Nichirin blades hisses out steam and forms into a hidden blessing, a scythe that generates powerful wind strikes.)

"Bai (Aloud): THE HELL..?!"
"Rouge Mercenaries: ?!?!"

(Bai then once again regains his confidence to fight, knowing Xu still cared about him to let Bai activate another blessing. Bai then war cries and charges towards the two attackers until suddenly, a mysterious individual jumps in front of the three and taps one of the two mercenaries. After one punch, the 1st attacker was instantly killed with one punch after its blessing was used against him.)

"Negan, Silke & Bai: ?!?!"
"???: You're Bai Zhen? Watch and learn how a real Mercenary fights."

(In a flash, the mysterious hero armored Mercenary dashes to the crowd of rouge Mercenaries attacking Negan and Silke has he then taps three of the rouges and uses their abilities against the remaining seven as one remaining was the leader of the rouge Mercenaries who was then unmasked and revealed to be a B-Tier Jingyi Grand Academy student.)

"Student: NO.! NO! WAIT.. STOP! STOP! YOU WOULDN'T KILL ME..! I'm just an innocent scholar!!"
"???: Scholar or not, it won't make any difference when you're exterminated."

(As the mysterious Mercenary then charges his body of powerful chemicals to create a strong explosion, Negan, Silke and Bai quickly escaped into his car and drives out of the explosion zone as the charging's humming was becoming louder yet more ear-deafening.)

"Negan: Brace for impact!"

(As Negan flips another switch, the car was immediately wrapped in metal to protect itself and the inside from radiation or explosion damages. As the humming was then silent, the Mercenary pushes a button on his armor which quickly absorbs the yellow light then explodes a tremendous portion of Hong Kong off the map as Negan and the others were protected from the explosion but could feel the powerful tremors. As there was no trace of the student left and the debris around the Mercenary was only nothing but crumbling destruction, fire and debris, the Mercenary walked out of the flames without any protection on as his armor was beginning to reattach itself on to him piece by piece after separating to create the explosion.)

"???: That. Is how a real Mercenary gets the job done."

(As the car was then speeding out of the area and the debris stopped flying around, the Mercenary followed the three. An hour later, they arrived at the airport but noticed that over hundreds of passengers complaining that most flights were delayed or cancelled due to ongoing explosions in Hong Kong and the rising threat levels.)

"Ben Holland (WW2 Veteran & Military Colonel | Power: Nuke Blessing, Leader Blessing): So, allow me to introduce myself. I am Benjamin Holland, you may call me Ben. You three are Silke Auerbach, Negan Zhihao and Bai Zhen. A pleasure to meet you three!"
"Silke: Are you an enemy of Negan..?"
"Ben: Not in the slightest! I'm aware of Negan's acts and I acknowledge his strength and power when he wiped out almost the entire Europe continent!"
"Silke: Then I'm glad to meet you too!"
"Negan: Holland is familiar now, weren't you part of World War Two?"
"Ben: That's right! Most people don't remember the name Holland, but its understandable."
"Bai: So why did you save us?"
"Ben: When I heard about the theories that you were a Ghoul affiliated with the Triple Ghoul and the 15, I wanted to believe it for myself. I was also told by the headmistress of Jingyi Grand you was accepted the transfer to Japan so my job was done technically. I wasn't going to let it slide so I had an old friend track your location thanks to the government access. So as I stand here, any friend of Bai Zhen is an ally of mines. Which includes you two as well."
"Silke: I have a feeling, we're going to be good friends!"
"Negan: I don't see any issue with this guy."
"???: Negan? Why are you at the airport-"

(As the four turns around to see Kokei Uesaka, he'd notice Bai Zhen who escaped but did not know how to handle the situation.)

"Kokei: ...Um... Bai Zhen...? Is free..?"
"Negan: Just relax. I'll explain everything."

(As the five then got together to eat at the nearby food court, Bai Zhen was wearing a disguise to conceal his face from the Hong Kong public as Kokei now understood the situation while Benjamin was stuffing his with almost everything he could pay for at the food court.)

"Kokei: I see. I heard a report saying Ryuketsu escaped a month ago along with me witnessing Bai Zhen being arrested. Ryuketsu won't be stopped by most Mercenaries in Hong Kong. If he gets to Shanghai, Guangzhou or even Beijing, then he'll be in trouble."
"Bai: Wait, there are even stronger Mercenaries throughout China?"
"Kokei: Yes. In all countries of the world, there are four of the top strongest Mercenaries in their countries. In China, there are four powerful Mercenaries that could defeat the Triple Ghoul and its armies without any scratches."
"Bai: ...Who are they...?"
"Kokei: In the south of China, in a city called Kunming, there lies a powerful spirit user known by her name, Lei Shuren. In the east, in a town called Shigatse, a ronin named Qian Yun. The west in Shanghai, a female Mercenary known as "Queen Of The Seas", Li Ye. And in the North, in the city of Yinchuan, a Mercenary who carries a godlike Blessing, Zeng Xue."

(As Silke and Bai were amazed at the Mercenaries named, Benjamin returned with even more food and began to stuff his face even more, crying tears of joy knowing he hasn't eaten in over 50 years after captivity.)

"Negan: Do you ever not eat so much?"
"Ben: You try being stuck in ice for nearly 100 years!"
"Negan: Valid."
"Bai: So about this Zeng Xue, is he really that strong?"
"Kokei: ...Zeng Xue was responsible for the death of the previous Prime Minister. In short, Zeng Xue was around before the Mercenaries even existed."
"Bai: What..?!"
"Negan: That's bullshit. The previous Prime Minister died of a heart attack, how can Zeng be the cause of it?"
"Kokei: Because Zeng Xue's curse was a contract with Death."

(As the four then hears that name, they were frozen.)

"Bai: Wait.. Death Death? Not like..."death" as in you die of old age or anything..?"
"Kokei: No. The literal embodiment of Death. Only Zeng as we speak is a survivor against Death and it's contract. Zeng secluded himself away from the civilization for he was considered a bigger threat to the public. Ryuketsu may kill many Mercenaries and Ghouls, but if he ever came in contact with either of those four, he won't be walking out unharmed."
"Bai: I see. Well, I just hope the Mercenaries he goes after can fight back."

-At Ocean Park Amusement Park-

(A B-Tier Mercenary clan was protecting the closed down park but was revealed to be beaten down by a fight-hungry Ryuketsu who was picking on the already-beaten leader of the clan.)

"Hui Guo (B-Tier Mercenary & Clan Leader | Power: Cloud Blessing): ..AGH!! W-Who.. What...- Who.. t-the hell.. even are you...?!"
"Ryuketsu: I'm the nightmare of any Mercenary and the killer Ghouls should be weary of. I hunt both sides for the hell of it!"
"Hui: ...Wait..! Y-You're that.. RYUKETSU..!"

(After a thunderous thud to the face, Hui was then knocked out as the clan was beaten without any holding back. Ryuketsu then smirks and walks off while talking big.)

"Ryuketsu: I look forward to beating a Mercenary or a Ghoul that can really get me running. Get stronger and I'll beat you turds again."

-Back at Hong Kong's airport-

(As everyone was finished talking and eating, the crew then boards a private plane to Japan.)

"Bai: So you're actually going with us, Uesaka?"
"Kokei: Well, to be fair... I'm not going to be sticking around dealing with Ryuketsu again... So I'm going to go back to Japan and I can help teach you the language before we get there."
"Bai: I'd be so honored!"
"Silke: Plane trip!!!"
"Ben: Count me in!"
"Negan: Luckily I can pay for all of us, now as for the food-"
"Silke: No you don't, my dear Negan! I'll help you pay!"
"Ben: It's not fair for one to pay for all, we'll help!"
"Kokei: Seems fair if we all helped."
"Bai: He's right!"

(As everyone paid together for any food and drinks to bring on their private flight, the plane then began to take off with only the five as the passengers and no one else until a scream began to enter the atmosphere of the terminal as Bai noticed Jia storming towards him then tackles him through the closing terminal door. The emotional Jia then began to fight and yell at the downed Bai while sobbing tears of anguish. After ten minutes later, Jia calmed down and reintroduced herself to everyone.)

"Jia: Sorry everyone.. My name is Jia Yi, I used to go to school with Bai before he was beginning to be transferred."
"Bai: But the true question is why are you here and not in the hospital?"
"Jia: Duh, I'm going with you!""
"Bai: Oh come on..!"
"Negan: Best time than ever to seal the deal, kid!"
"Bai: IT'S NOT LIKE THAT NEGAN!!! Ugh...!"
"Kokei: If you plan to go with us, Miss Yi. We'll need to set some ground rules. Number one, knowing Bai Zhen's reputation in China, we can already guess that other countries are aware of Zhen's actions and affiliations so we'll need to keep him on a low profile. Number two, you two are not permitted to engage in any inappropriate acts knowing you two are actually still technically children. And number three-"
"Bai: WAIT, WHAT'S THIS ABOUT INAPPROPRIATE ACTS?! I WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT!"
"Negan: So you wasn't trying to do the deed with her a few months ago?"
"Bai: NEGAN, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!"
"Negan: Hey, I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this!"

(As the plane was beginning to take off, everyone then was prepared to travel to Japan where their next adventure begins. Meanwhile in Himeji, Japan, a throne was being sat upon by a tall male Mercenary being coddled lovingly by his female executive clan members. The door then opens as the Mercenary notices a Chinese empress entering the room as she wore a blooded dragon symbol on her dark blue colored Hanfu.)

"Xing Tu (Dragoness Empress | Power: Dragon Blessing, Mythology Spirit): Norikata."
"Jikouji Norikata: ..."
"Xing: Is this necessary? To hole yourself in this tower surrounded by women? There are rouge Mercenaries invading your city."
"Jikouji: ...They are no threat to me. I do not see any proper reason to leave the comfort of my throne just to deal with children."
"Xing: So what do you intend to do?"
"Jikouji: ...Omori!"

(Waking up from a nap was an adult-sized male with a snarky look on his face at Jikouji.)

"Montaro Omori (Power: Energy Blessing | Clan Member): Huh..?? What 'chu want boss?"
"Jikouji: Take care of those children attacking around the tower. I'm not leaving my throne."
"Montaro: You got it, boss man!"

(As he'd then quickly leave the tower to fight off the attackers, Xing was then disgusted that she was stuck with Jikouji acting like this.)

"Xing: This is what you plan to do? And they call you "The Eastern Quake", "Strongest In The East". I don't see nothing more than an overgrown bastard sitting on his ass, being lazy and not caring about his country!"
"Jikouji: Are you done? As I said to be you before: "I can't start my nap, if my ears can hear you yap." Now please, leave."

(Xing was then irritated and leaves as she slammed the door behind him and sighs as she saw there was no use in reasoning with him.)

"Xing: There has to be a better fighter out there. Someone who can match him and make him see the reason in fighting again... This entire city will burn if he doesn't do anything soon..."
