Chapter 7:

The Decision

The Stars in a New World

Many days go by since Ursula found out about my secret stargazing hobby and told her the beliefs I have about the world. I haven't seen her since. I've asked my parents about it and they keep dismissing it telling me she's not feeling well. I'm terrified she told them.

One night while stargazing at this world's Ursula major constellation. I hear a creek come from my door. I turn around in surprise not knowing who it was. "Oh it's just you Ursula." I chuckle lightly to ease my nerves.

"I never told mom or dad about what you told me last week. And I've finally reached a decision. I'm willing to learn your idea of the world." She said with nervousness. I don't blame her for being so nervous though. I basically completely flipped her world upside down.

"Ok then" I reply. I wave her over to me and gesture to the telescope. She hesitates a bit before getting to the telescope. "Take a look." I say to her. She looks into the telescope slowly then gasps.

I had pointed the telescope towards a planet that seems pretty close to ours. Still not noticeable in the night sky but it was slightly brighter than Jupiter back in my old world. "What is that Teddy?" Ursula stepped away from telescope in fear.

"That's another plannet in the solar system. Deus" I named it after myself since it was the first planet I had found through the telescope.

"You named it after yourself? That's so weird Teddy." She mocked me a bit.

"Then tell me if this is ridiculous." I say with a snark. I then pointed toward a cluster of stars I named Ursula major and minor.  "That cluster of stars I named Ursula." Ursula eyes light up looking at me.

"You named a group of stars after me?" She said starstruck. I then realized I have the constellation the same name as my older sister. "That's so sweet of you Teddy." She kissed my forehead. 'Wait, are sisters supposed to do something like that to their younger brothers?' My mind instantly becomes flooded.

"Well, Teddy. I know it was short. But, I've taken as much as I could for tonight. Anymore and my head will explode." She says softly. "Til tomorrow night." I blush at the sound of her playfulness. She walks out and I stare at the door. The only thing that came into my mind was 'What the hell was that?'
