Chapter 15- Love Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as Aya and I stood face to face, a sudden interruption shattered the fragile moment. From out of nowhere, a teenager emerged from the bushes near the swings, startling us both. "Caught you!!" the young man exclaimed, his voice echoing through the neighbourhood, almost walking them up.

“Now? Whom might you be!” Aya angrily proclaimed, her voice loud and bursting.

Aya's anger flared up even more, and she demanded to know the identity of this intruder. "Whom might you be?" she angrily proclaimed, her voice loud and bursting with frustration. Getsumei, still proud and self-assured, announced himself as a black cat, declaring himself as "Getsumei, the cloak of the black fang." Before anyone could react, he grabbed hold of Aya's shoulder.

But before I could act, Aya took matters into her own hands. In a display of fierce determination, she unleashed a powerful kick aimed at Getsumei's groin. The impact was brutal, causing him to double over in agony, and his pride shattered.

I couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and surprise. Aya's ability to defend herself was far beyond what I had imagined. My plan had indeed backfired, but in the chaos, I saw a side of Aya that intrigued me even more. "Asa... Ahahaha," I barely managed to catch myself before uttering Asahi's name. My carefully orchestrated plan had crumbled before my eyes.

As Getsumei writhed in pain, Aya broke free from his grip and rushed towards me. Her voice trembled with a mix of embarrassment and remorse as she offered a sincere apology. "Sorry, Yuuki," she uttered, her eyes filled with regret.

My mocking tone softened, and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy for Aya. "Why, may I ask?" I responded my voice no longer filled with bravado. Aya's face turned an even deeper shade of red as she confessed her mistake. "I shouldn't have told you that I love you," she admitted, her words weighed down by embarrassment.

I sighed, realizing the depth of her feelings. "It's not that I like you," I retorted, attempting to protect myself from the vulnerability of her confession. But the rejection stung, even if I hadn't considered a romantic relationship with her.

With a face as red as a ripe tomato, Aya mustered up the courage to make a sudden and unexpected proposal. "Please... marry me!" she blurted out, her voice filled with a mix of desperation and hope. I stood there, stunned and bewildered, struggling to comprehend her sudden declaration.

"Huh?" I managed to utter, my surprise evident. "I told you, I don't like you," I repeated, feeling overwhelmed by the situation. Memories of our previous encounter played in my mind, and I struggled to reconcile her actions.

Aya's voice trembled as she explained her motives. "No! That was different. I just wanted to inconvenience you after you rejected and embarrassed me in front of my parents," she confessed, her frustration mingling with her love for me.

The desperation in her plea tugged at my heartstrings, but my own frustrations prevented me from fully embracing the possibility. "But you know there's no way I'm going for it," I yelled back, my emotions reaching their peak.

Aya's face flushed pink, a mix of embarrassment and hope colouring her features. "Please, could you at least try?" she implored, her eyes pleading with me. The vulnerability in her voice made it hard for me to deny her.

"But that doesn't answer why you said you loved me earlier," I challenged, my scepticism still lingering. Aya's flustered face showed her struggle, but with a resolute determination, she confessed once again, her voice filled with sincerity. "I love you, Yuuki," she declared, her emotions overpowering her.

I stared at her, the weight of her words sinking in. Could it be true? Despite my doubts, a part of me longed to believe in her sincerity. The struggle between logic and emotion waged within me, leaving me conflicted and unsure of how to respond.

As the awkward silence hung in the air, I couldn't help but wonder how this unexpected turn of events would shape our relationship. Aya's confession had brought us to a crossroads, and the path forward remained uncertain.
