Chapter 4:

"Rapunzel, Rapunzel?"

Not The Cinderella's Story

"Wh-Where is my basket!"

There is very many important things to me! I must get it back. I took a little while contemplating what to do, so I only walked back as much as I could. As Im walking back to the front gate I see a near yet far away tower. It looked nothing like the one I was residing in. So I kept on walking and I finally see my basket tipped over on the side of the road. As I picked it up I could feel not much weight as it used to. I started taking everything out of it and found that my book was nowhere to be found. I was once again in a panic.

"Ohhhh man! Now were is my book!"

I said frantically.

Then I heard a noise. And what came next was a tug on my cloak. Then a voice. I turn around and see a little boy. The boy says "sister, I saw someone take a book." Sister? What type of form of formality is that? Ah- of course it's different in this place… not earth.

"Which way, kid," I say as I take his hand.

He then point to the direction where the tower was. "Thanks! Is there anything I can repay you with," I turned to face him and see a face full of tears slowly falling down. I'm surprised! I lift my hands fumbling them around trying to calm him down. While waving my little fingers around I blurted out"Uhm please don't cry!" I keep repeating those words after a while I had a thought and reached for a cookie I plopped into my pocket. I took it out and shoved it right in the kid's mouth.

He looked around 6, with brown hair, teal eyes with cute plump cheeks due to the cookie that was stuffed in his mouth. But he was still crying. I still fumbled my fingers around the air, but that did nothing. I then flung my arms around the kid almost making him fall, patted his back pushed away, and wiped his tears. Calmly I asked, "What's wrong?"

His tears slowly stopped, but then started hiccuping. He chewed the rest of the cookie and swallowed. "Everyone says I'm useless, and pay no attention…Tha- Thank you, sister!" I could tell he tried to stop his hiccups which even made him cuter in my eyes. I sigh and nod my head from side to side. He looks up at me. "Wha-Whats wrong s-sister." I say "Well this won't do, say kid do these people do bad things to you," while looking at him with sympathetic eyes. He slowly nodded. "Do you want to come with me then?"

"Yes!" I take his hand after I fix the leftover crumbs from my cloak's pocket. And we take off to the tower.

After around 30 minutes of walking, I ask the kid his name. "I have many names trash, useless, crybaby, good for nothing-" I cut him off. "Kid…those aren't real names," Is all I say while fuming with anger. "Well… then will you name me?"

I look down at him and nod. "It will take me quite some time to figure a great name for you… can you wait," I ask. "Yep! I can wait," the kid says. "Who even lives in that tower anyway?" The kid responded "A young lady with long hair and an adult woman." Ahh, that can only mean one person Repunzel… If this world has fairy tale features and magic— The world I was placed in must have fairy tales connected to its system… Or whatever. We soon come to the arrival at the base of the tower. I chanted out “Rapunzel, O’ sweet Rapunzel let down your hair,” This was a chance to prove my prediction. If she lets down her hair this world is a fairy tale hotspot, I had come to that conclusion due to the fact of the same author in mind. And if she doesn't lend her hair down I have no idea where and what I am doing. I waited. And waited. 30 minutes pass by and there is no sign of her hair. I couldn't possibly take the risk to stay longer, it was already night! As the kid and I turn to leave we hear a shout. “Wait! Come on up there is a staircase in the back!”
