My nervousness and excitement

I was at the edge of my bed looking at my phone. I already registered the phone of Himeno-san on my phone but I was only looking at the screen of the chat box, looking at the text bar appearing and disappearing. I swear it was like looking at the clock ticking.

-It’s nearly 10:30pm, and she say she was busy, maybe I should try sending something tomorrow, or wait for her to send me something, no, don’t be stupid, Yukki, she doesn’t have your number to begin with it, jeez… this is a pain-

I sigh and look at the ceiling with my arms extended, I look at my phone again and delete the message to write a new one until I send one that I thought was good, I leave my phone beside me waiting.

I was getting sleepy, and I closed my eyes for a few seconds until I heard the notification sound on my phone. I jumped off my bed and took my phone and read ‘’Notification: tomorrow is going to be sunny’’ I smiled and threw my phone against my bed. I lie on my bed, put my head against my pillow and wait for my phone to ring again, I wait and wait until I fall asleep.

When I woke up, I saw the message notification, I unlocked my phone and saw the response from Himeno-san.

My heart was filled with pure joy; my mind was still numb but I was smiling while looking at my phone.

I saw the clock marking 6:00am, the message was made a couple of minutes ago.

I sit down in my bed leaning against the wall. The notification sound after a few minutes and I looked at my phone.

“Good morning, Ryoma-kun. Did you sleep well?”

I stood up and started my routine while texting on my phone.

“Yeah, I could say that. How about you?”

“I’m still sleepy, work is kind a heavy this week”

“What do you work at?”
“I’m a technician, I help at customer service and repair computers”

“That’s really cool!”

“Did you finish your college education, right?”

“Yeah, I have a degree in gastronomy”

“No wonder you’re in a coffee shop”

I saved my phone in my pocket as I prepared some tea and saw my brother open the refrigerator.

My brother left as he grabbed his food and took a drink.

“Do you often work late?”

“Not really, it’s just these couple weeks when they need me to stay, but I have my weekends anyway, so it isn’t that bad”

After eating, I was in my room hitting my phone on my chin as I kept spinning in my chair.

While I was getting ready for work I kept texting Himeno. I slam my face with doors and keep tripping on things.

I kept my phone in my pocket all the way from home to work except in the taxi so I didn’t have any accidents.

I sigh and leave the changing rooms, I put myself at the bar as the other employees were taking the orders, I keep my face neutral while making the orders, it was until a customer asked for a coffee directly from the bar that I put a smile on my face.

I went to the refrigerator in the kitchen and took my food out, then went to the microwave to heat it up a bit and then to the employee’s room to eat.

I was eating while checking random videos on my phone until I saw one of a cute cat.

Break it’s over after 30 minutes, I took my box and save it inside my backpack. Work continues as usual and the day end.

I woke up at 8:00 am this time. I checked my phone and I saw the message without being seen. I stood up and repeated the same routine but I kept checking on my phone the entire day, waiting for Himeno-san to answer, even at work.

As it was getting late, I was gazing at my phone from time to time until Osuke-san noticed.

The job continued as normal, we closed at the right time without any trouble and went home. When I arrive at home, I sat down on my bed just with one thought in mind
