Chapter 4

I woke up, showered, dressed up, and then went downstairs for breakfast. Everybody kept on wishing me a happy birthday. I checked my texts and they were filled with crazy texts of my birthday from everyone. 

I had to go to school by the subway as it was a little far away and I couldn't walk that much. But, I still walked. It's better to walk in the morning. I'd like to walk back home, too. Walking is amazing. Meanwhile, my siblings took the train. They said it was a bit too far for them. They told me I'd get late. But who do they think I am? A sloth? Bitch, please, my legs are faster than Hermes!

Ok, wait, I guess I did get late because when I entered the school building and was changing my shoes, a lot of other kids were hurrying off. So, I ran off to class 1-A as fast as I could and opened the door. Everybody inside stared at me. They were a bit shocked but a lot of them just looked at me casually and smiled. Ok, fine. The homeroom teacher gestured me to come in. 

"Introduce yourself, please," he said. 

"Hi. I'm Taki Toushiki. I'm a new student here. Please treat me well," I said and bowed. 

I had braided my hair and my braid fell forwards. So, I straightened my back and went to sit at the only empty seat I found. The teacher smiled at me and said I looked like a good kid. We'll see about that, sir.

At lunch, my cousin Amane came to my class. She was at the door and was peeking inside. I was sitting alone. That wasn't my nature at all but I thought I'd look like a weirdo if I kept going over to people to greet them. 

"Birthday girl!," she said, walking towards me. 

A lot of people were startled by that and started talking amongst themselves. 

"Hey, keep your voice down," I told her. 

"So, how are you? How's the new school? Everything good?," she asked me. 

"Yeah. Everything is amazing," I answered. 

"Get up. Let's go show you the school," she said, grabbing me by my arm and dragging me along with her. 

The school was so amazing. It was much bigger than my school in Kanagawa. We kept on going and checking different stuff. We saw club rooms and I immediately decided which club I was going to. 

On the way, Amane met two girls and they started chatting. After what was like 20 minutes, she told me they were going somewhere. So, I had to explore the school all on my own, now. Well, I could make some friends now. Or maybe not. 

I went up the stairs and then came back down. Then, I went down from the stairs on this floor. Then, I came back up. Then, I remembered what I was doing. I was looking for the changing room! We had phys-ed after lunch and I couldn't find the changing room. But, first I had to go to my classroom to get my bagpack but I couldn't find it! Oh, God! Please somebody help me! I'm so lost! I've never felt like I'm lost!

But then, I saw a guy walk up to me. He had long black hair and he had a left ear piercing. He had black eyes, pink lips and a tall height. He had his bag slung over his left shoulder. His shirt's first button was open, revealing his collar bone. He was so hot!!

I realized I was staring at him when he blushed. I turned away and was about to go the other way, when he told me to wait. So, I turned around and faced his beautiful face. 

"W-what is it?," I asked him. 

Was I stuttering?! 

"Are you lost?," he asked. 

"Yes. I can't find my classroom and I have phys-ed now," I told him. 

"If you have phys-ed, then you should go to the changing room," he said, smirking. 

Is he trying to be smart?

"I think I don't have my bag with me. I want to find it first," I said, pointing at my shoulder. "If you can't help me, then don't try to outsmart me. Thanks but no thanks." 

Then, I walked away from that son of a bitch! Luckily, I found Amane later and then I found my class and my bag and then when I did change my clothes, phys-ed was just about to end. But, I still got to show off my athletic side to everyone!

At night, we went out for dinner. We went to a famous restaurant, which was packed. The place had a boba tea place in front of it! I love boba, though I've never tried it at all. Haha!

When we were done with the food and the cake, I asked Fujiko to come with me to get a boba, but she didn't come with me as she said that we would be leaving soon and I should get it at that time. But, I didn't listen and went to get it. 

The place was packed, so it took a little time for me to get it. By the time, I came back, my family was gone. I was a stray kid again!

I asked the waiter about them and he told me they had left some minutes ago in their car. I asked him if they were worried about me or anything like that, but he said they were not. And that was the end!

All my life, my family has not paid any attention to me. And now this happens to me on my birthday?! Wow!!

There was a bench on the corner of the road. So, I sat there. I was calling Papa but he didn't pick up any of my calls. Neither did anybody else. Wow!

I kept my head on my hand, and my elbow on my leg and stared at the beetle crawling on the ground. And then, it started raining! How could I forget? I even saw the forecast! But, it didn't matter at all! I didn't care if I got kidnapped or got drenched in the rain! I was glad I got lost! I was so happy!
