[Chapter 18 Start]

“Ayame!” Chako and I yelled.

“Who knows where this crybaby went? Now we got another problem on our heads.” Chako said as she sighed heavily.

Ayame told me to not follow her. 

The classes started.

 She wasn’t here yet.

 I looked at Chako and she was very uncomfortable. As I gazed at her, I figured that she was scared and sad too. She was just being brave in front of us just because she was the leader. I gave her a sign “I’ll find her”. She smiled and she was somewhat relieved. 

The classes ended and lunchtime started. I looked at all the favorite places of Ayame yet couldn’t find her. In the end, the free time was over and classes started again.

She wasn’t back yet too. Chako was looking at me with concern. I comforted her and told her I’ll look again. This time, she said she'll look with me. As school was over. 

Chako headed to the favorite places of Ayame outside the school to find her. I remembered there was one place I hadn’t looked.

It was the rooftop.

I went to the rooftop and found her there. It was her. It was Ayame. She was sitting at the place where Aoi would sit to sketch. She was crying there silently. As I looked at her, tears started falling from my eyes.

I wiped them off.

I went to her.

I put my hand on her shoulder. I couldn’t control my tears.
