A job date? Is that even real?

After coming home, he jumped straight to the bed. Not because he was tired. Well, he is tired, but thats not the reason. The reason is, that was the first time in a while when he ate something handmade. He wanna eat it again. But too bad, he didn't have any money.

So he decided to do something any sane person would do in this situation. That is to look for a job. But as he is a student, he had to do some part time job. There was a supermarket nearby, so he decided to go there for a part time job. He gotta do the job before and after school time. Of course the managers there know this. He was a kind person too.

"Alright, everything looks good. You can start working from tomorrow."

Looks like he got the job. Nice. The wage is 15 dollars per hour. Pretty good for a part time job I think. Hiroshi thanked the manager for the effort he put,

"Thank you very much for your time."

"Your welcome, and also. You will be working under a senpai for some days."

[Senpai means senior in Japanese]

"Oh, thank you for the information."

From tomorrow his job starts. He didn't know who his senpai was. What if he/she was a couple. Then he had to kill him/her.

That day, he typically went to the supermarket. The manager gave him his uniform to change on to and his id card. All is set, his manager decided to introduce to his senpai.

"As for the senpai you will be working under for a couple of days, well, she is a bit late today. Let me introduce her to you"

The senpai comes inside the staff room. She looked like she was in a hurry. She was breathing heavily.

-Gasp- "Am I late?", she comes.

"Nope. Not at all. You are just in time.", the manager said.

"Thats a relief."

"By the way, he is the kouhai that will be working with you. His name is Hiroshi."

[Kouhai means junior in Japanese]

Hiroshi is shocked. Thats because the senpai is none other than Yuki.

"Huh?", Hiroshi uttered.

"Oh my, you are going to work under me? You better call me Sen-pai then.", Yuki said by changing his personality again.

"Please stop."

"Oh, so you know each other?", The manager was surprised.

"Well, actually...", Hiroshi was deciding what to say.

"He is my boyfriend", Yuki said without any hesitation. Her split personality is scary sometimes.

"Oh my. Yuki, you didn't tell me that you had a boyfriend.", The manager was very much surprised.

"I didn't? Gomen gomen. Seems like I forgot. Hehe.", Yuki transformed into her airhead mode.

[Gomen gomen means sorry in japanese]

The manager was relieved to some extent. Their shift is going to start. So the manager goes out of the staff room. Currently, there are only two people in the staff room. Its only the two of them. The mood of the room suddenly changed. Well, it should. Cuz there's two Quixotic Predators in the same room.

"So, why did you come here?", Yuki said.

"I needed money. Nothing else."

"Really, I was almost certain that it was some kind of emergency. Thats why."

"And what do you mean by emergency?"

"I don't know really. Like, somebody came to know your identity?"

"Really? Are you serious?"

"Nope."

"Anyway. Our shift is starting. I better move. Teach me the basics."

"Only if you call me senpai first."

"Okay. Im gonna figure how to work for myself then."

Hiroshi was going to get out of the room after saying that, but then Yuki grabs his hand.

"Just kidding."

At that time, the manager comes and tells them to go out of the room. But by seeing the drama, he silently walked away. Seems like there was a misunderstanding. But its not a big deal for the Quixotic Predators. They don't really care about such stuffs.

Well, their first job is being the cashier. Yuki taught him how to do stuffs and gave Hiroshi to try. Hiroshi was smart. He learned it instantly. As he was practicing, a particular group of people came in. Those were Hiroshi's friends. At first they didn't see him and Yuki.

"Hey, aren't those your friends?", Yuki said.

"Im feeling a bit tired. I'm gonna go take some rest."

Well, he was not actually tired. He was just trying to avoid them. He doesn't know why though. But his plan failed. Yuki caught him. She saw right through. With angry eyes she said,

"You decided to do the job. Do your part."

"Tch.."

They came back with some stuffs. They went to the counter to pay, but they somehow feel threatened. A strange aura was coming from Hiroshi. He was internally screaming,"Don't notice me. Don't notice me..." but too bad. Luck was not on his side. They noticed him.

"Umm. Is that you, Hiroshi?"

"Dang it."

Yuki was right behind too. They saw them together.

"You are having fun here I see."

"Its nothing like that."

"You just could've told us that you are having a date."

"I'm doing a job here."

"A job date."

"Is that even real?"

After some teasing, they decided to leave those two alone. Couples do need some time alone. Soon, their break time came. And also, that day was a weekend, so they get paid more for overtime.

Yuki goes into the staff room, she opens her lunch box to eat, but then she noticed something. Hiroshi was not coming. She decided to go out and check. Is she worried? Maybe a little bit.

Heading out, she saw what she was expecting.

"What are you doing here?"

"Eating my lunch?"

"Whats that?"

"A nutritional protein mix that energies you for 6 hours."

-sigh-

After that, Yuki got away. Hiroshi was confused.

"What are you doing outside? Follow me."

"Okay?"

Hiroshi goes inside the staff room. Yuki tells him to sit next to him. Hiroshi still was confused as to what was happening. What is she gonna do? Why is she disappointed?

She opened her box, and decided to share it with Hiroshi. That was unexpected. Hiroshi didn't think she would do this. She has a kind heart. But that heart is locked up and is very hard to open.

Hiroshi was happy. He was happy that he could eat handmade meals again. Yuki was also happy to have her cooking appreciate. And the manager was happy too as they both went along quite well.

Soon enough their lunch break came to an end. Now its their time to go back for work. They were working normally, when something unexpected happened.

"Huh? You don't know where the cigarettes are?", said the customer angrily.

"Sir, there no cigarettes in the supermarket.", Yuki said.

"Huh? You talking back to me?"

The customer was a huge, bulky man. From the appearance alone it can be guessed that he had a lot of pride. Well, Yuki wasn't scared. She wanted to kill him cuz he looked like the kind of guy to cheat on his girlfriend. Soon enough, his pride hit him. He grabbed Yuki by his collar.

"You don't know who I am. I can kill you without any hesitation."

At that instant, Hiroshi grabbed his hand. He was agitated.

"Well well well, lets leave the killing part away. Besides, have you ever killed anyone mister?"

His eyes was full of bloodlust. He also hates this kind of guy. His personality was similar to his father. But still, he is a customer. He can't kill him now, that is. He grabbed his hand even harder, to the point that the customer thought his hand is going to break from the force. He quickly freed Yuki. But Hiroshi wasn't removing his hand. He was seconds away from killing him. His eyes turned red. Yuki noticed this. This was the first time she saw his eyes. It was like a beast. She quickly grabbed his hands and took him to the staff room. He was still out of his mind. His eyes were still red. This is not his true and normal self.

He wasn't waking up no matter what. So Yuki decided to do something, unexpected.

She slapped him, very hard. To which he came back to his normal self. He didn't know what was happening. Yuki tells him to calm down. Soon the manager came. He checked the cctv as to what happened. He was not upset. Hiroshi apologised because of his actions, but the manager said that he did the right thing and he should not worry about such things.

Soon enough, their shift ended. It was nighttime. The manager now decided to take on the wingman role.

"Hiroshi, you know, you should walk Yuki home."

"Why? Why should I?"

"Its night out there. She might fall in danger."

"She's quite strong. I doubt that would happen."

"Just go."

He pushed Hiroshi with Yuki. Then he closed the shop. Now they two are alone, walking under the night sky, just the two of them...
