Chapter 3:

The drink

RAIN

"How are you doing, baby? How's life going?," Nolan, a tall guy with blonde messy hair, green eyes and intimidating looks, asked Aria.

"Everything is going very well in every way. But please don't call me baby. We're not dating anymore," she said.

"But we can change that, you know," he said, looking at her.

"I don't want to change that at all. I don't wanna do that," she said.

"Why? Am I not good enough?," he asked.

"What?! I never said that! You're every way amazing but I don't think I want to date you anymore. So please don't say that," she said.

He sighed.

"Okay, but can I buy you a drink? You won't say no to that too, right?," Nolan asked.

"I already drank something earlier. I won't mind though. You can buy me anything," she said, smiling at her.

"Wait here," he said to her as he went to the bar to get her a drink.

It smelled strong. She hesitated but drank it anyway. Her head hurt. Soon, she fell asleep.

When she woke up, Nolan was not there. She looked around the place and remembered where she was. She stood up but was about to trip over her step, when a hand held her waist.

"Drunk, miss Kingston?," Tim asked.

She blushed.

"I'm not drunk. My feet hurt because of my heels so I can't walk. I don't drink alcohol," she said,

"I can walk on my own. Let me go."

"Sure, you can," he said.

He let go and she tried to walk but she was still very unstable and fell. She looked at him. She was embarrassed. She stood up.

"C-can you hold my hand as I walk? I can barely keep my consciousness," she said.

"Why not?," Tim said, taking her hand.

He took her outside to his car.
