Chapter 4:

Mom

RAIN

"What was he saying to you?," Tim asked, as he drove his car to her apartment.

"Something about getting back together. I don't wanna do that, though," Aria said, her head hurting.

"He's your ex?," he asked in a low tone.

"Y-yeah, I dated him for two months," she answered.

"Why don't you not want to get back with him?," he asked.

He didn't get an answer.

"Miss Kingston?," he asked.

He looked at her and found her asleep. He sighed.

"Miss Kingston, wake up. Your apartment's here," Tim said to her.

"Five more minutes, Mom. I need more time to sleep," she sleepily said.

He smiled.

"I'm not your mother, miss Kingston. You should wake up or I'll pick you up and take you inside," he said.

"Yes, pick me up, Mom. I'll love it," she said in her sleep.

"I'm repeating it, I'm not your Mom, miss Kingston. But I'll still pick you up and take you inside," he said, blushing.

So, he gently picked her up in bridal style and took her inside.

When they reached her door, he searched for her key in her bag. After finding it, he unlocked the door and took her inside. He lay her down on the bed.

As he was about to leave the room, she grabbed his hand. He was shocked and blushed.

"Mom, please don't go," she said, eyes closed and still quite in sleep.

"I have to leave, miss Kingston. I can't stay while you're unconscious," he said in protest.

"Mom, you've neglected me all my life. Please stay. I've always missed you," she said, tightly holding onto Tim's hand.

He gulped.

"Ok, I'm sitting on the couch in the hall, then. You can sleep peacefully here," he said.

"Please sleep next to me, Mom. I've never ever felt what it's like to sleep next to your mother 'cause you've always been away all my life," she said.

"Miss Kingston, I can't do that. I can't sleep with you! I'm not your Mom," he said, a deep blush of red on his cheeks.

Suddenly, she pulled him and wrapped her legs around his torso from either side. He blushed confusedly. She wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled into his chest. His heart was about to explode.

"Miss Kingston, please stop," he said.

But his voice was too quiet and muffled because Aria had now pulled the covers on top of them. She pulled him closer and his eyes widened. She planted a kiss on his left cheek, which left him blushing in shock.

"I love you, Mom. I've always did," she said and drifted back to sleep.
