#036 Bad Breakfast

I lazily pour my bowl of cereal. A radio host babbles on in the background; the sound occasionally falters like a broken record.

"Concerning news! This morning citizens all over Britain h-have b…b…been experiencing-"

I take a bite but something crunches between my teeth. My cheek starts stinging as warm blood wells up. I immediately spit out the cereal. A big, bloodied piece of glass falls on the table.

"Fam…families found oddities such as small bones and rotting lumps in their breakfast cereal."

Horrified, I press my tongue against the cut. It pushes right through the hole in my cheek.
