Chapter 3:

European Glory?

Rising Hope

He dives for it, but he can't get it. It's a goal! From a penalty against them in the last minute to a goal for them. The fans go crazy, and the commentator exclaims, "This is Miyu, the next star." Everyone from the staff and players of Luton swarm him, hugging him. It was a dream come true.

After the match, Miyu meets Riku. "Riku, I'm here!" Miyu says, beaming with joy.

"Wow, Miyu, you made me proud. Two goals in your debut, and a last-minute free-kick, unbelievable!" Riku says, his pride evident.

Miyu giggles modestly. "It was beginner's luck, Riku."

"No, Miyu, there's no such thing as luck in that match. What you did was pure skill," Riku insists. "Anyways, let's go eat at the hotel."

"Okay, Riku, but just know that soon I'm gonna buy us a house," Miyu says confidently.

Riku and Miyu laugh together on their way to the hotel. Their lives have gotten better since Miyu's incredible performance. Arriving at the hotel, they buy some food and head to their room to eat.

"Man, this food is good, even for such an average hotel," Miyu says, mouth full of food.

"Yeah, but like they always say, 'don't judge a book by its cover,'" Riku replies.

They decide to go to sleep as Miyu is very tired from the match.

[Next day]

RING RING RING

The alarm rings, waking them up. They hear commotion outside, so they rush to see what's happening.

"Yo, Riku, what's happening?" Miyu asks, looking confused.

"I don't know, Miyu. Let's go check," Riku says, equally puzzled.

Looking out the window, they see a crowd of people and paparazzi gathered at the entrance of the hotel. Miyu seems confused and concerned, wondering why they are here.

"Hmm, I wonder who they are looking for," Miyu says, trying to make sense of it.

Riku looks at Miyu with a puzzled expression and says, "Miyu, are you joking? They are here for you! Did you forget you're a Premier League player who scored two goals against Chelsea?"

Miyu is taken aback, seeing such a large number of people gathering for him. "What, for me?" Miyu says, surprised. "Wow, I'll go down there."

Miyu and Riku head downstairs. As soon as Miyu steps out of the hotel, he's swarmed by fans and paparazzi, causing him to feel stressed. Riku steps in and shouts, "Everyone, get away from him!" Though the crowd looks confused, they listen to Riku when Miyu introduces him as his coach. But the questions continue, making Miyu and Riku decide to make a run for it.

"These guys just don't listen. What can we do, Riku?" Miyu says while running away.

"We should get some bodyguards for you," Riku suggests.

"Whoa, I'm getting bodyguards this fast?" Miyu says, surprised.

"Yes, didn't you see the crowd in front of the hotel?" Riku says.

"I did, but I can handle it. Just sign a few papers, and I'm done. What's the big deal?" Miyu retorts.

"You're acting like you didn't get stressed in front of that crowd," Riku says.

"Ugh, fine. I'll get these bodyguards. Let's go to a hotel first," Miyu says.

Miyu and Riku arrive at a new hotel, booking one night. After getting settled in their room, they pull out a laptop to contact four bodyguards and hire them. "Wow, that was fast," Miyu says.

"Yeah, we should meet them in an hour from now," Riku says.

One hour later, they meet the bodyguards, agree on their terms and conditions, and go to sleep.

For the rest of the season, Miyu performs well, scoring 12 goals, providing 4 assists, and earning 2 man of the match awards. But now, the last match of the season approaches. Luton, against all expectations, is in fifth place, while Sheffield, who also exceeded expectations, finished sixth. If Luton wins, they go to the Europa League, but if they lose, Sheffield secure a spot in the Europa League. The stakes are high for both teams.
