New club and old friend

I try to look closely, and it was a woman. I did not know who she was and why she was lying in front of my house.
“One plus one equal to……”
Suddenly she starts to talk but in weird tone as she was drunk. Maybe she really drunk as I can smell the reek of alcohol from her cloth.
“One plus one equal to three!!”

She starts talking again.
What should I do now? Should I tell Nakamura-san?

“Hey you! Do you know your face like who?”
I decided to respond to her. ”Who, is it?”

“My grandpa.”
“Is that so?”

“Not my grandpa but his dog’s face. Hahahahaha!!!”

I think if I just left her here it would be alright. I just can ignore her. Wait! I think have an idea about this situation. I take out something from my pocket. I feel better doing this right now. She will shock when she knows this later.

Hehehe.

Then, Nakamura-san come out from his house and see me with this drunken woman. “ What are you doing there, Arima-san? And is that Saito-san? Why is she lying there?”

“Is this Saito-san? She is woman?”

“Yes! By the way, is she drunk? Maybe you should take her to her house. Try to find kind the key on her.”

“But I don’t see any key or wallet on her. I don’t think there is anything also in her pocket. What should we do right now?”

“How about you bring her into your house first? I can’t bring her to my house as my wife really hates the smell of alcohol. If I bring her, maybe she really will ask for a divorce this time.”

“ What really happen between both of you? ”
“ The story will continue later. For now, you should take care of her and wait for her boyfriend, or her friend will bring back her key later. Just remember to control your feelings when male and female stay in same room. Anything can happen, “ said Nakamura-san in playful way.

“ Nothing will happen, Nakamura-san. “

“Okay! Do you need my help to carry her to your house?”

“It’s okay Nakamura-san. I think I can carry her on my own. I afraid that your cloth will have smell of alcohol.”

“Thank you, Arima-san! I will repay your kindness in the future. In case something happens, you can just tell us.”

“Okay, Nakamura-san”

After Nakamura-san go back to his house, I carry Saito-san into my house. She stops talking after comparing my face with his grandpa’s dog. She is quite light as I carry her. I lay her down on my bed.

I think I should prepare porridge for her after she wakes up later.

When I wanted to get up, her hand did not let off my hand.
“Why had you left me? Did you really hate me? Did I do something that hurt you? Can you answer me?”

She starts crying while letting out her true feelings. Did she just broken up with her boyfriend? After a few minutes , she starts to let off my hand.

Fifteen minutes have passed.

“What am I doing here? Who are you? “

“Wai-“

“ Did both of us sleep toge-“

“Wait!!! No. Both of us did not sleep together. I just found you lying in front of my house this morning.”

“ Why am I lying in front of your house? Should not I arrive in front of my own house?”

“Saito-san , your house is next to my house. I can show you the evidence of it.”

I take out my smartphone and show the picture that I took before to her.

“ Is that really me?”

“Yes ! By the way you say many weird things when you are drunk. One plus one equal to?”

“Should be two. Why do you suddenly ask nonsense questions?

“ No, the answer is three. You said it before. Then my face look like who?”

“Surely like my grandpa’s dog.”

“Okay, get out from my house right now!”

“Sorry, I just kidding but you really look like my grandpa’s dog. And I cannot enter my house because I left my handbag at the bar last night. My house key is in the handbag.”

“Alright. Do you want to have porridge first?”

“ Yes… I feel hungry right now.”
I bring the porridge to her.

As she enjoys the porridge, she asks me some questions.

“ I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Saito Akemi. What is your name?”

“My name is Arima Youta.”

“ So, why are you moving here?”

“I will attend university around here next week.”

“Really!? So , that’s mean I am your senpai. What is your department by the way?”

“ I should call you Saito senpai right? I will study in Department of Japanese literature.”

“ I never thought we would be in the same department. As your senpai, you can ask me anything that you want, “ she said confidently.
“ Okay.”

Knock-knock!!

I heard someone knocking on my door to the house. I open my door and find a beautiful woman standing in front of me.

“I’m sorry. Did you know where Akemi is?”

Does she looking for Saito senpai?

“Is that you Eri? I’m here! Did you bring my handbag?”

“What are you doing there Akemi? I worried when you suddenly disappeared last night.”

“Sorry...”

“Are you okay? I mean after what happen last night is really shock to you right?”

“Don’t worry about that. I think I want to sleep right now. I don’t want to think about that anymore. Arima-kun, thank you for today.”

“You are welcome.”

“Eri, you also should go home and thank you for bring back my handbag.”

“Okay, Akemi. Just call me if anything happens.”

After both go back to their house, I start to think about what happened today. Saito senpai and Eri-san if I not mistaken, both are beautiful especially Saito senpai. How can her boyfriend ask to break up with her when she is so beautiful? Her small face and long black hair, I’m sure she is famous in university.

“ Why can’t I stop thinking about Saito senpai? I think I should take a bath now?”

Two days passed.

Finally, I will start my new life.

This morning I will attend the ceremony to welcome first year students. From here to the university takes about fifteen minutes by bus. In the bus, I found Saito senpai sitting next to the window.

“Good morning, Saito senpai!”

“ Arima-kun, good morning! You can sit next to me.”

“Thank you Saito senpai.”

“ By the way, today all first year students need to attend the ceremony, right?”

“Yes.”

“Do you want to join my club?”

“Club?”

“After the ceremony, some club will promoting themselves to invite new student to their club.”

“What kind of club do you join?”

“Surprise. You will know later.”

“Okay…”

We finally arrived at the university. Then I went to the hall where the ceremony is held. After an hour, the ceremony was finally over. When I get up from my seat, I notice someone that I really know.

“Minami!!”

She looks so surprised when she sees me.
“Youta!?”

“Why did you not tell me that you will attend here?”

“ I just forgot to talk about it.”

“ Oh okay.”

Then both of us come out of hall. Outside of the hall there are so many people trying to invite new students to their club. I spotted Saito senpai waving to me. I bring Minami with me to meet with Saito senpai.

“Where are we going Youta?”

“Just follow me.”

“Hello Arima-kun. Welcome to Theatre club!!”

“How does she know your name? Did both of you know each other?”

“A little bit.”

When I look around, I notice there are two more people that I also assume club members. I know one of them who is Eri-san.

“Arima-kun, do you still want to join our club? You can bring your friend also.”

“Minami, do you want to join Theatre club?”

“Why not? I also like to try acting. I think it’s okay to join this club, “ said Minami.

“Therefore, I, Arima Youta and Minato Minami will join the club.”

“Okay! Thank you so much for joining our club! Please fill in this form first. Today, after lunch we will held a small party to celebrate new members. Did both of you free that time?”

“Yes!”

“Alright then. See you later.”

After we filled in this form, Minami and I attended our first class. Luckily, both of us are in the same class.

During the class , I made a new friend. His name is Hirota Hiroshi. He joined the soccer club. He was the first one to initiate the conversation. As we were talking with each other, we found that both of us like to play video games. He said maybe we should play video games together some day.

“Minami, let’s go to the club.”

“Okay.”

As we walked, I said to Minami, “ I see that you have made many friends on the first day. I think many male students ask you for your phone number.”

“Are you jealous just now?”

“ Why should I feel jealous? Come on! Saito senpai are waiting for us at the clubroom.”

“Okay.”

“Don’t you want to go back to that time again, Youta?”

“What do you said, Minami?”
Suddenly I heard Minami want to say something.

“Never mind. Just me talking to myself.”
