Last hope

    "Just put your shoes on and follow me", he said dashing towards the door. 

    Suma followed him to the door. As they ran Suma realized she was wearing a hoodie from a popular anime.

    She suddenly stopped. Kazou noticed this and stopped.

    "What's wrong?", Kazou asked. 

    "Look at what I'm wearing", she said. She sounded embarrassed. 

     "What's wrong with it?", Kazou asked. 

    "I-its an anime hoodie", she said. She never had let anyone besides Ami and Kazou know she was a hard-core otaku. She was very insecure about her hobbies.

    "So?", Kazou asked. 

    "What if people think I'm a loser", she said. 

   Kazou felt really bad that she was insecure about something like that. He didn't know what to say as he wasn't the best at comforting people.

    "Who cares what other people think", Kazou said somewhat awkwardly. "I think it suits you well and you look cute", Kazou said. His face was as red as a tomato now, but no one could tell as his face was already red. "Now come on we got to go", he said grabbing her hand and starting to run towards their destination. 

    "Was that okay to say", he thought. "I hope I didn't seem creepy. 

   "There it is", Kazou said pointing at a convenience store. He ran in and grabbed two small jugs of milk. He pulled out a card and scanned and quickly paid. 

   "You alright there bud?", the cashier said. He was an older man. 

    "Yyeah my bestfriend put hot sauce in my food and we were out of milk", he said. 

    "Haha, well goodluck with that!", the older gentleman said chuckling. 

    He ran back outside to Suma. "Here" he said handing her one of the small jugs. She immediately took it and started drinking. Kazou, after catching his breath did the same. He drank the whole jug. 

    After they both drank enough milk to subdue the hot sauce they started talking again. 

     "Why was that hot sauce so hot", Kazou asked gasping. 

    "I specially ordered it a while ago with Ami cus she liked spicy stuff and we played a drinking game but with it", Suma said. She didn't look Kazou in the eyes. 

    "Oh, jeez.", Kazou said he laughed. 

    "Your face was pretty funny when you ate that sandwich", Suma said laughing. She still didn't make eye contact with Kazou. 

     "Yours was to", Kazou said. They started walking back towards Suma's house. They were talking and laughing about Sumas prank until the conversation died down a bit. Suddenly Suma asked...
