A ray of light, a ray of hope.

A few days after the beach incident, Yuki and Hiroshi decided to go on a hunting spree again. They were looking for their prey. But luckily, there was absolutely no one in the streets whatsoever. You might think they were frustrated by this. But no. They were, in fact, happy at that. They don't want to kill anyone too. They want to have a normal life. They also realised their dark side is slowly fading away. That means they won't have this killing intent when they see couples. As they were going about talking and enjoying themselves. Well, most of their hunting spree after they teamed up were like this. It's actually become a more of a night date then a hunting spree.

They saw a couple. Doing what a couple does in the middle of the night in the alleyway. Their dark side unleashed and they got down to kill them. But as soon as they dropped, they realised something. It was a trap. Those two weren't actually real couples, but they were agents of the secret police. It was a trap to capture the Quixotic Predators. This is bad. Hiroshi and Yuki usually searches from the top of the buildings while looking for couples. When they find one, they jump down and kill them. But this time, as soon as they jumped, those two secret police agents pulled out their gun and started shooting at them. In fear of Yuki's safety, he embraced her and used himself as a meat shield. But the shots weren't able to connect. So they only got a few scratches. They got down. But the problem is still there. Now, hordes of secret police officers surrounded that area with their cars. They didn't just have normal guns, but had fully automated firearms. The Quixotic Predators didn't want to kill anybody, even if they were trying to kill them. That's because they are Quixotic Predators, they only kills couples. They don't kill innocent police officers. They don't even kill those who record them. They just hurt them to the point that they fall unconscious. Then they take the recording and destroy it. Sometimes they fail to destroy it. And those clips are the clips available to the public about the quixotic predators.

What should they do? How will they escape? They need to think of an escape idea quick, otherwise their life will be in danger. Hiroshi is a smart guy. He can make wise decisions, right? So what did he think of as a plan to escape?

"Run."

Yep. That's the plan that he thought of. They just run through the nook and corners and somehow try to flee. They were doing just that. Avoiding bullets on the way. They passed all the guard and they were now behind them. Hiroshi was behind Yuki to protect her incase bullets from the secret police guards behind them hits her. But something seems strange for Hiroshi. None of the secret police guards from behind them were chasing them. They were just standing, not moving a single bit. It was suspicious.While he was thinking about this, he let his guard down. He didn't realise that there was a guard right in front of them. He was carrying a gun, pointing at him. Before he realised, he wasn't in a position to dodge the bullet. And it was aiming straight for his head too.

Yuki noticed the guard before Hiroshi. She ran and kicked the guard to made him unconscious. But before the guard passed out, he shouted,

"NOW!"

After that, he passed out. Being surprised, Yuki let her guard down. The secret police captured Yuki.

Well, that guard in front of them was a trap too. They knew that Quixotic Predator: Witch was fairly weak compared to Quixotic Predator: Vampire. That's why she uses such a way of killing. Therefore it would be fairly easy for her to be captured. Then they would fight with the Quixotic Predator: Vampire. They don't plan on capturing him, they just plan on wearing him off. Then they would shoot his arms and legs and then capture him too.

Well, that was the plan, until the main cooker of the whole plan came and ruined it. It was Airi. This time, only one cook spoiled the broth.

"Its been a long time, Quixotic Predator: Vampire. Oh, I forgot, you guys don't know the codenames given by the secret police, do you? Well, you are Vampire and she is the witch, or you can call her a bitch."

"Who are you? And what do you want?"

"Who am I? Well, if you want to know, I am a victim of your murders."

"Then how are you alive?"

"Well, It was not me, but my boyfriend who was killed by you. But It doesn't matter, does it? And seems like you are developing feelings for your partner here... what if I kill her right here right now? How would you feel then?"

She got a hold of Yuki. She handcuffed her and held her. Then she reached out to her gun and pointed at her. At that time one of the guard shouted,

"Miss, you were supposed to capture her, not kill her."

"Shut up, you underling. I am the head here now. You follow my orders."

"Don't. Do. It.", Hiroshi said.

He was about to charge at her, but then he was stopped by the guards surrounding him. He was caged. He only had a knife, while they had guns. But it didn't matter. Yuki's life is in danger, and he had to do something. He started knocking down the guards, but they keep coming in. He was feeling hopeless.

"What am I even doing. Yuki is going to die if I don't do something. Damn it! Why am I so weak. Why can't I just barge through them. I don't need these guards. I don't need them. They are on the way. I need to save Yuki. But I can't. What should I do? What should I do? Why? Why is this happening? Why am I so freaking weak? I need to go through. No matter what. I need to save her, no matter what. I will protect Yuki. I will, without fail."

As he was thinking, something awakened from deep inside his heart. He didn't know what it was. He just felt something. It was a 'rinnnggggg' sound. He couldn't hear anything. Everything looked slow. Now he realised, its the same feeling when he kills couples. And it activated right now. That means...

A pool? No, a shower? No, I guess an ocean would fit perfectly. Yes, an ocean of blood and dead bodies. The bodies looked like islands in the red ocean. With Hiroshi in the middle, he said,

"I will protect her. I will protect Yuki no matter what."

Upon seeing this, Airi was frightened. She tried to threaten to kill Yuki if he did something. But he didn't stop, gradually he was coming closer. But couldn't hold for long. More reinforcements came, blocking his way.

"Ahahahah. Now what are you going to do, vampire? Ahh yes, that look on your face suits you perfectly. You look like the real deal. You want her? Well, come and take her."

"Tsk. They are in my way."

Meanwhile Airi was thinking,

"This is my chance. If I just pull the trigger-"

Hiroshi noticed that Airi has put her finger upon the trigger. She was attempting to murder her right there and then. He was too far away. He couldn't reach her. It didn't happen. He wasn't able to save her. Just as expected, he heard a gunshot. He was looking down gave up hope. But when he looked up, he was surprised. He saw a ray of light...
