Chapter 17:

Pink Woman

Becoming the Principal of Isekai School

Eiji and his subordinates stood at the principal office to greet the new staff. Unlike before, this time, the teachers wore uniforms similar to Sienna's but with a few different details and colors.

"I've never worn anything like this." Kyoko studied her purple-dominated office dress. "But I have to admit, it looks good."

"And it suits you," Sienna commented with her signature smile.

"Good morning! Sorry, I'm late!" Rae, wearing a gray suit, rushed in. "This morning, I went for a walk outside to get some fresh air, as suggested by Ann, but I got lost."

Everyone in the room was silent, still trying to digest the elf's words.

"It's all empty land around here." Kyoko frowned. "How did you get lost?"

"I walked very far until our school was not visible." Rae grimaced as he scratched his hair. His gaze then fixed on Anneth, whose dark green dress was somewhat different from the other women. Instead of a miniskirt, she wore a long skirt with slits and stockings. "Wow, you look gorgeous in that."

"You look good in that too." Anneth approached that man with a big smile. Maybe that smile was the widest she had ever shown at that school. Then, he fixed the elf's collar, which was slightly folded in.

"T-thanks." Rae's face blushed, and so did the witch.

Sienna looked at that with an amused expression while Kyoko chuckled.

"I'll tell you later what happened to them last night," Kyoko whispered to Sienna.

The assistant's face also turned red. The kunoichi used a tone that indicated something more had happened last night.

Even if that's far from the truth.

"Are you guys ready?" Eiji checked what was on his tablet screen, doing some final considerations. He didn't pay attention to anything that was happening around him.

Eiji's subordinates said ready, and the principal took a deep breath. "Okay, then. Let's do this.

"Please, line up." Sienna requested.

The five of them formed a line in front of the work table, and Eiji pressed the [summon] button on the tablet.

"Wow, I've never seen anything like that." Rae narrowed her eyes as the orb of light in the center of the room began to turn into a portal. "Did I come from something like that? I can barely remember."

"Yes, Mr. Sharis," Sienna responded. "This is the portal that connects summoned spirits to this world. They will enter from this thing after their new bodies are formed."

A barefoot emerged from the portal. The tip pokes the marble floor, then lifts up, just like the tip of the index finger touching something too hot or cold.

Following that, a young woman of medium stature stepped out of the portal with long wavy pink hair and a plain white dress in tatters.

"Welcome to our school, Miss Aline Paquette." Sienna gave her signature greeting, complete with a warm smile. "We are…."

"F-five specimens, each with their own uniqueness." That woman with a small chin and nose hissed in a breathy voice. Her mouth forms a smile so broad it's almost like a clown's make-up. "I haven't seen anything like this in a long time."

She approached the school personnel with unsteady steps, giggling like a monkey. "Please, may I examine your bodies? You may throw me away after that. I haven't seen humans, elves, or other humanoid creatures in many years."

Sienna took a step back, being taken aback. Meanwhile, Kyoko had put her right hand back, and Anneth slightly raised her hands. The witch is ready to cast magic.

Only Rae was scratching her head in confusion.

"I'm not going to hurt you guys." Aline's eyes, also pink, observed those people in turn. "I'll be gentle with you when I check on you. I promise."

Eiji cleared his throat. This was even more terrifying for him than Anneth's arrival. And he blamed the inconsistent profile list. Information about the witch is quite comprehensive, right down to how to change her form. Very different from this crazy woman.

"We recruited you to this school because of your expertise in healing and potions." Eiji cleared his throat again. "Please, you better…."

"I will gladly accept." Aline cut off the principal's words. "I love the job. So let me check on you guys. Consider it my entrance exam in this place."

Eiji turned his gaze to his co-workers, but they didn't respond.

"Okay, I'll take you to the infirmary. You can check on me there." Eiji answered, though his heart was filled with doubts.

"Sir," Sienna whispered while covering her mouth from the side. "Are you sure?"

Eiji nodded, then glanced at Kyoko. The kunoichi also nodded, immediately knowing she had to be on guard against the unwanted.

"Please, can we start now?" Aline hissed again. "I can't wait."

"Follow me." Eiji started to walk away from that place. "No one follows me. I want to talk to her alone."

Only Kyoko will sneak up and hide to guard Eiji in hiding.

"Is this school still new?" Aline looked around as they were down the hall. "I get the impression that this place isn't complete yet."

"We don't even have a single student yet," Eiji explained, kept glancing at Aline, who was walking beside him. "You will be responsible for the health of staff and students. You will treat us when we are sick or injured."

"That's wonderful, sir." Instead of sparkling with joy, the woman's eyes bulged. "I'll fix you guys properly when you're injured and give you my loving treatment when you're sick. Aah, I really can't wait to do this job."

Eiji felt like a chill hit the back of his neck. Of all the staff he recruited, this probably made the principal hesitate the most, even more so than Rae.

"This is where you will be working." Eiji opened a door.

In almost an instant, Aline gasped hard. Her breath goes up and down like someone with pneumonia. She exclaimed with trembling lips. "A-a living s-skeleton!!??"

And she ran to Jon, who was sweeping in one of the infirmary room's corners.
